Site 12 Deer Crossing
in Walnut Valley Realm Campground, IndianaNice sunset and sunrise views
We stayed in the electric campground. The sites were spaced out enough that you weren't right next to someone else. The site had a picnic table, firepit, and benches. Plenty of firewood too, which was appreciated. The sunset and sunrise views from the upper campground were great. The dispersed sites looked nice for privacy but you wouldn't be able to see the sunset/sunrise as well because you have woods surrounding you. There were several others staying on the property but it was quiet. There is a well pump and the water tasted fine. The outhouse is what it is - an outhouse. It was not bad for an outhouse. It's a nice scenic drive through Indiana farmland to get here. We saw some turkeys on the property while hiking.
Watch out for poison ivy while hiking. The paths were mown pretty short but I would recommend wearing tall socks just in case.
