Hipcamper since July 2021
Intro: Hi Everyone! My husband Chris and I are full time campers and love the outdoors! During tourist season in our area my husband and I manage and host a lovely campground with 79 sites. We have been doing this for years and love every minute of getting to know other campers from all over the states and many other countries as well. Travel and meeting new people is so rewarding and we look forward to each new adventure!
Past trips
Pack out and camp
in Ridge Camping Private, IllinoisRobyn and Andy were wonderful hosts, extremely helpful when I had question and so knowledgeable about the area and its history! The Silica mine on the property was such a unique experience to see, it was like walking through history. The property itself is beautiful and definitely a trip I will always remember! I hope to visit again.
Site 3 - Freshgardens
in Freshgardens Everglades (RV only), FloridaRobert and his Farm manager Rasa were very nice and helpful, the dogs that wander are sweet and the orchard is pretty, we were in homestead to explore the area so this site to park for a few days worked out well for us, there is a gate across the drive so at night you feel a little more protected. Definitely bring a lawn mat for getting in and out of your camper to keep dirt out and good lights for at night. We set up a small lighted spot under the canopy of the trees by our camper which made it nice in the evening and there is a neighbor who would serenade us and the rest of the neighborhood with a pretty sweet playlist till around 10. All in all our experience was good and would stop here again on our way thru if needed:)
Site 20 - RV Back In Sites 25ft
in Navarre Beach Camping Resort, FloridaNice relaxing stay at navarre beach
The staff is super helpful and friendly and the facilities are well maintained and clean, the laundry has plenty of washers and dryers. The pool and hot tub are nice and even though the beach area is small it is nice and clean with a great long lighted boardwalk over the water. They have fun activities scheduled regularly as well. The sites are close together but for the area I feel its what to be expected. Distances to the water, sewer and electrical are close and the park is really well decorated giving off the â Im on vacation on the beachâ feel, if that matters to you. They have a cute pirate ship picture opportunity for you and the kids as well. This park has a nice family feel and with a dedicated area for a play ground and another for a dog park everything was nice and orderly. They even keep doggy pick up bag dispensers around the park for convenience so no â accidents â when walking. The wifi works great too. The location is super close to Navarre beach and all the stores you could need including Walmart, Publix and Winn Dixie as well as a Ace Hardware because lets face it, things breakđ. They have a nice office store with things you may need for your RV as well as cute keep sake reminders of your trip. The sites were level and relatively easy to get into although they have people who will back in for you if you struggle. We would stay here again if we were in the area for sure.
Blackwater Getaway RV Site #1
in Larry & Sheila's Blackwater Getaway, AlabamaWonderful relaxing escape
Gorgeous area and really nice Hipcamp location, right on the Blackwater river. The covered area with a shower and restroom were really nice as was the sink set up for washing dishes. This would be a great place to bring family and friends for a group campout during the hotter months although this place is so restful any time of year would be great. The covered awning with a large picnic table offers an
amazing place for hanging out and avoiding the heat or there is room for setting up your own reclining chair . The white quartz sand was so nice to walk barefoot on and is just a wonderful bonus to the nice cool water. They have a nice fire pit area available with wood you can purchase and at night the stars just shine! Be aware that the road in is like a hard packed sand and has a few rises as u go down towards the property, we were a little nervous because my truck is not a 4 wheel drive and gets stuck on wet grass but we didnt have any trouble. We are definitely staying here again and will bring our friends to enjoy the great escape in nature this place is and while the hosts were away the day we stayed, they took care of us wonderfully by sending their friend Martin to check on us. He gave us great tips for the area and saved us an hour of extra driving by sharing shortcuts. He was great and so appreciated!
