in Cook Forest State Park, Pennsylvania
The Cook Forest area has a TON of amazing camping opportunities and things to do outdoors. The rich history of this area is constantly on display. The Clarion River is amazing for water recreation. The hiking in the area is challenging and beautiful.

in Parker Dam State Park, Pennsylvania
Parker Dam is one of my long time favorite State Parks. The dam and beach are top notch, especially for rural Pennsylvania.

Beaver Meadows Recreation area used to be a fully functional campground, but now is available for dry camping. It's fun to walk through the old campground that still has posts, picnic tables, and even a fenced in blueberry patch!
