in River Forest Haven, TexasGorgeous primitive camping on water
in Gorgeous primitive camping on water, OklahomaIt's a big open field lined by trees on the edges and two trees in the middle providing some shade. The field was overgrown and we'd have appreciated if some space was cleared out. The creek was dry so we couldn't trust the stagnant water but luckily we had all the drinking water we needed with us.
Oh and there was a hammock and a backpack hanging high on a tree clearly abandoned by someone previously camping there. The mystery of what happened there remains unsolved.
