#3 - Creekside: Peachy Beach
in Pinnacle Springs Recreational Park, ArkansasMagical forest
From beginning to end, our 6 day stay at Pinnacle Springs campground was a fantastic adventure. The pics capture only a slice of this forest's magic. John is welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Our fellow campers were respectfully distant and also friendly. After passing through the gate, we were immersed in the forest sights, sounds, textures and scents....zero pavement or trash! It's delightful how John has managed to sustain both the pristine raw forest/creek/paths/campsites, and maintain accessibility. I have MS, and with the help of a walking stick was able to easily navigate the entire space.
And of course worth mentioning is the incredible experience of meeting my fave YouTubers Dome Life, as well as a new favorite, Chris of Fast Track. If camping videos are your thing, check them out!
Lastly, two things....the clean air smells like clear water and pine-vanilla. The creatures roam freely and we felt blessed to share their home during our stay.
Second, John is an amazing camp host!! Through fun, informative stories, an easy smile, and accessibility he shows his absolute joy in what he does. This was our first stay here, so I probably bugged him with more texts/questions than I will in subsequent stays. He answered every question with enthusiasm...he even helped me put the rain fly on our gigantic tent.
We will most definitely be staying in this natural wonderland again, and again.
Site 1 - Tent Camping with Electricity
in Indian Lakes Resort, ArkansasThe perfect two day getaway
This place is a hidden gem! The host Tommy, and all staff, are super friendly and present enough to make sure you're safe, but also give you space. The big lake is clean, clear, and perfect for swimming or kayaking. The camp spaces are immaculate, no worries about glass etc hurting my or my doggo's feet. The camp spots are really close together, so if having neighbors isn't your thing, they offer non electric sites. We will definitely return!
