Past trips
Site 1 - Route 1 Ranch
in Cabins by the sea, CaliforniaLots of land, lots of privacy, ocean views, and a quick walk or drive to the beach! Wish we were still there.
Site 7
in Bierbaum Pepper Farm w/Goats!, CaliforniaMarcella was very friendly and showed us around the property. It's got a glamping vibe with misters, hammocks, games, charging station, and a hot tub. Only a couple sites offer shade and most sites are slanted, which makes it difficult to set your tent. If you are a more primitive type camper, you'll need to bring your own table and chairs for cooking and sitting camp side. The goats are adorable, but the roosters will wake you up at 4am, and continue calling for a few hours, nonstop.
Site 1 - Sea Shell Ranch
in Sea Shell Ranch Malibu Land, CaliforniaMarla was very communicative and the directions were spot on. It is a primitive site (no toilet and no water) , but the campsites are set up for a more glamping experience, which was a little confusing. We left the âliving roomâ and âdining roomâ alone and set up base at the far end with one picnic table and a flat patch for our tent. You are in Malibu, so houses will be in you siteline but site 1 has a beautiful view of the ocean and Catalina. My favorite part was watching the sunrise and seeing the clouds rolling over the water. Itâs a good quick one nighter if you just want a small escape and enjoy being outside.
Site 2 - Songdog West Campsites.
in Cuyama Badlands, CaliforniaHoneymoon Cottage
in Historic Sturtevant Camp, CaliforniaVery warm, charming, and cozy at this campground. There's a heater in the Honeymoon Cottage, so no cold nights. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare the food you bring. It's a beautiful 4 mile hike to the camp and upon arrival we played badminton, croquet, zip lined, and hiked some more down the nature trail to the heliport. Deb, the host, was very helpful with any questions and super dog friendly!
