Past trip
Wilde River Farm Tent Camping
in Wilde River Farm, CaliforniaWhat a perfect spot with great hosts. The campsite is right on the river.
Past trip
in BaseCampByBo!, CaliforniaThis was my first Hipcamp experience and it was great. The host was kind and obviously wanted to create a welcoming space for the campers. I would definitely go back and would recommend it to others
Past trip
in Death Valley National Park, CaliforniaThis was another big parking lot-like campground. It is surrounded by some pretty spectacular desert scenery and was a great place to view the night sky.
Past trip
in Death Valley National Park, CaliforniaWe camped here out of desperation. We'd intended to camp at Wild Rose, but the spring winds were too much for us. As we drove down off the mountain, we got caught in a dust storm and thunderstorm! The campground is just a big square of gravel and offers not much in the way of natural features. We parked our van right up to the perimeter where the sites back right up to dunes. After the storm, the kids got to go explore the dunes and that was cool.
Past trip
in Lassen Volcanic National Park, CaliforniaThis was the only campground in Lassen that was open at the time of our visit. It is a perfectly serviceable campsite in a pretty spectacular location and provided a nice home base for many hikes. The sites are not very private, but they are spaced far enough apart so even though you can see your neighbors they don't feel too close for comfort.
Past trip
in Rogue-River Siskiyou National Forest, OregonThe family was split about this one. I thought it quite lovely. Our spot backed up to Union Creek and I love the riparian plant life. The kids love being next to the creek, but it was very buggy. One day I would love to come back to the area and hike on the Union Creek Trail.
Ann Marie hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
