Past trip
in Fruita By The Lake, ColoradoGreat basecamp for biking the area!
We loved our stay here and definitely plan to stay here again on future trips. The location was very convenient (about 1.5 miles from downtown?) yet quiet. It was close enough to go into town easily, even close enough to bike straight from the campsite. Our site was perfectly level, which was awesome. An added bonus was being able to plug into power to recharge our batteries. I also really liked that the site was on stone and not dirt so you weren't tracking dirt in/out all day. Something small that others might care to know if you have ever camped in the area and are there for several days. The owner was friendly yet also let us have enjoy our time. She was also very accommodating to us. Our friend had reserved one of the other sites and she let him park by us so that we could all hang out together at the same campsite (we happened to have one of the larger sites that could fit his vehicle). We had campervans and this was a great site to accommodate those.
Past trip
in Purgatory Riverbottoms, ColoradoWe loved our stay at Purgatory Riverbottom. It was so nice to be able to stay in town yet camp at the same time. We were able to walk and ride our bikes into town and experienc all the conveniences of that. Dusty was so friendly and we were very appreciative of the opportunity to camp on his land. There is a port a potty, our site was almost perfectly level, they are all right near the river, and you are looking right up at the illuminated Trinidad sign! Thank you Dusty for the awesome stay. We hope to stay here again for a future trip.
Andrea hasn't gone on any trips yet.
