I'd recommend copy and pasting the instructions from the raw text paragraph with the Geoff's instructions. We arrived after dark and between the map on our phone and the directions, we made it. It's hard to read the word blob that HipCamp's UI provides.
The signs he mentions can definitely use some touch-up and once the road goes from paved to dirt, you'll need to dive mindfully as the road gets rough and has small to significant little canyons. Somehow we managed to find a nail on the dirt road but luckily it was a slow leak. We were able to find a Napa Auto care garage in town to patch it up for $20.
You can tell recognize the site from the pictures, but the current state can do for some tidying up. Given the fire season, there is no bonfire and the rope swing has a sign not to use it.
The bathroom is in good condition, with running water and a shower next to it. Couldn't figure out how to get the hot water going, but it was warm enough that we could deal with the cool water.
Our visit was cut short by an evacuation due to a fire in nearby Wolf Campground so Geoff issued us a refund for the night we lost. The neighbors were nice enough to come honking, telling us a fire was on its way. We packed up quick and headed out, careful not to drive too fast on the bumpy road out, else we get a flat and stuck with the fire on its way.
We had passes to hike Half Dome the next day so weren't about to try and head home. Luckily, we found a campsite at the Sweet Water campgrounds in the Stanislaus National Forest, 45 minutes away from the entrance to Yosemite.
