Past trip
in Camp Presmont Camping, OhioOur group of 8 had the campground to ourselves half of the weekend. We had an absolute blast! The kids were able to run and play, they played soccer, Gaga ball, and catch. We spent two days out on the lake in the pontoon boat fishing. The landscape is gorgeous and the sunsets are breathtaking, at night after the fire dies down, the number of stars you can see are out of this world. I definitely recommend this campground if you need a break from the busyness of everyday life, which is just what we needed. We didnât really hike the trails due to rain and it being muddy but I did venture off and find the chapel which has an amazing view. I spent a few silent moments alone talking to the man upstairs and felt very connected in that location.
The ride is bumping heading down to the campground and you should watch out for wildlife. The turn into the campground is right but my husband was able to get our 32â toy hauler in and out without too much trouble. I recommend coming in the daylight if youâre hauling a trailer.
The restroom is nearby and the showers are hot. You do have access to water and electric on site.

We made the trip from Ohio for a weekend getaway. We were looking for a place close to Niagara Falls that was affordable and peaceful. We found both in this location. We stayed Friday - Sunday. We took our 32â travel trailer and then rented the A-Frame cabin as well. The younger kids played in the water and we played in the paddle boat, hiked around the grounds. Made a trip into Erie to the bicentennial light house and also to Niagara Falls (on separate days). The shower is hot and the bathroom is clean. Weâll be making another trip to this location in the future. Itâs family friendly, close to things to do, and affordable. To top it off Jim and Micheal are both very friendly people. Next time, weâll have to bring our four wheelers, thereâs plenty of room to ride! Thank you for a great stay and your hospitality!
Past trip
in Rockcastle Riverside, KentuckyWe enjoyed our stay at this campground. We spent the holiday weekend there. Our plans changed due to the weather, it wasnât warm enough to go kayaking but we took a day trip to Cumberland Falls and had a blast! It is a nice quiet campground. The kids went swimming in the river and explored the grounds, made new friends along the way. It has electric and water hookup but also has restrooms and a shower on site (nice hot water). The sites arenât too close together and I felt safe enough to let our kids roam and have fun on their own, theyâre older. The road down is a little rough but thatâs due to flooding they had in the spring. The owner is friendly and helps if needed.
Amanda hasn't gone on any trips yet.
