The Bolo Club was our last stop on a COVID19 conscious camping trip and it was perfect! The super nice, cedar wood bathrooms were impressive and a haven since we hadn’t showered in three days haha. The amenities with the primitive camping style was the perfect combo for us. Our dog was able to run around and play in the creek. We tent camped by the RVs but were only one of two tenants so had a big fire ring to ourselves. The star gazing alone would make us return to the Bolo Club. We camp often but nothing has compared to that. Even spotted the Neowise comet which was literally once in a lifetime opportunity. We slept to the sound of insects and the babbling creek. The creek is clear and rocky, not murky and muddy. Super cold but was great to wade and play with our dog in. Host was super friendly and helpful, so was Django the heeler. Django even put up with our young heeler mix trying to play. Definitely recommend!
Past trip
in The Baying Hound Campground, North CarolinaThe Baying Hound Campground is super artsy and eclectic. As someone who values resourcefulness and reduced waste, the structures and art around the campground really make this place special. Located just outside of the city, Baying Hound was the perfect place to stay while being close to things. We hung out in one of the common areas which had padded chairs, solar lights, and a hammock. It felt COVID19 safe with distancing and a hand washing station. The outhouse was really cute but stinky. It’s called Baying Hound for a reason, which would have been fine if we weren’t traveling with our newly adopted dog who was a little unsettled by the barking. Not the hosts fault; just mentioning for others who may be traveling with dogs. The solar lights lighting the paths really made the space cozy and easy to navigate at night. Super cool stay!

The Perfect Hideaway
in LITTLE BENT FARM, KentuckyLoved it!
Absolutely LOVED my stay at Little Bent Farm. The host, Robert, was super helpful with directions and getting my gear to the campsite. We brought our dog along and really loved the spot by the water. The best part though was the hand built outhouse! So cute and clean. I was thankful for the hand washing station too. Would definitely stay here again and suggest to anyone looking for a cute, unique place in lil Franklin, KY.
