Sugarloafers is located on a portion of the old Ocoee Outdoors Zipline. It is nestled along the lower Ocoee river with great views of Sugarloaf and Big Frog Mountains. This is an excellent gateway to Parksville Lake and the Cherokee National Forest and all the activities it affords including whitewater rafting on the Hiwasee and Ocoee Rivers, mountain biking, kayaking, lazy river tubing/floating, fishing, and so much more! Our property is one of nine - 5 acre tracts along the river. As of Fall of 2024, the adjacent lots have houses on them. So while this campsite is some distance from the houses, it is currently within view. Although the campsite is back from the highway, road noise can be an issue especially on the weekends. Highway 64 is one of three major roads in the county. Unfortunatley, tents don't block the sounds of Harleys racing down the road at 2 a.m. Consider bringing earplugs or muffs if you are a light sleeper! Within a mile from the end of the driveway there is: Food - Subway Sandwich Shop and the Gondoler restaraunt. Whitewater Outfitters - Ocoee Outdoors, NOC Ocoee Outpost, ACE Ocoee Adventures Myrtles Cafe is now two miles east next to the Firefly Market. Please consider visiting these local business, they provide excellent service. Other - Rock Creek Oufitters Ocoee Store, Ocoee Express Gas Station and Convenience Store, Sugarloaf River Park and Parksville Dam and the entrance to the Cherokee National Forest! Dollar General & Foodcity - 4.2 miles back towards Cleveland (because someone forgot their phone charging cable and you want a 6 pack of beer). Middle Ocoee Private boater takeout is only a 10 minute drive east on Hwy 64. Consider a hike to beautiful Benton Falls - drive to the top of Chilhowee Mountain and it's a 3 mile round trip hike. !!!ALSO!!! Due to the massive damage caused by hurricane Helene on September 27, 2024 - especially to I-40 through the mountains - Highway 64 is now one of the primary routes into NC from TN. Expect traffic along this route to be busier than normal.

Hut or Tent, your choice. We just added the tent platform and it is your choice as to tent platform or Hut. They are about a football field away from each other. Get away from it all on a secluded mature wooded hill twenty minutes from the Ococee River. You can feel how old the Appalachian mountains are here. Remote enough and private but no 4WD needed (flat terrain to parking) and enough neighbors if needed (road running through property leads to subdivision by Apalachia Lake so has traffic on it.) To the right of the road is a creek and bog, to the left we have several acres of woods to explore and relax in. You will see an occasional car on the private road that runs below the Hut but on the hill, you will have complete privacy. Please note we have not yet added a firepit or compost toilet to the tent platform so you will be needing to go to the Hut for both of those. You can get to the Hut from the Platform along the road or through the woods. It is a beautiful place to chill and hang out that we are happy to share with you. Three of ten acres to the right of the road that runs through our property are a bog that runs along a creek with the creek joining wild remote Apalachia Lake. (Pretty much unpassable Nature saying keep out.) But enjoy hiking and exploring our seven gently sloping mature wood hills. There are also lots of well maintained dirt hillside roads for exploring or biking. Enjoy our Baba Yaga hut with only the bare necessities but you will be flat, dry and able to enjoy the woods all to yourself. Or the Tent Platform pretty much complete privacy. When one is rented, we take the other off the calendar so you get the entire place to yourself. Come explore and then chill away from it all.

If you want to chill, you can check out a local swimming hole. We have several options for our guests at the farm, including a small zipline, farm activities, loop trail, spring trail, Saturday outdoor movies (on request), and our petting area where you can interact with very friendly goats. This site is convenient to the city of Chattanooga, Cleveland, and also outdoor activities associated with the Hiawasee River, Ocoee River, and Cherokee National Forest. There is room and hookups for two RV's at this location however I will only allow two RV's if they are from the same party. Please contact me for details and special pricing if this is needed. Learn more about this land: I recently acquired this property that has been in my family for over 100 years and my original home place until around 1980. My wife and I initially made this site for our own RV use, but we want to share it for others to enjoy and also to help finance our constant improvements. The original house that I grew up in is still located on the property but is currently uninhabitable (for now). My fondest memories of the property are of playing and catching crawdads in the creek that located on the property when I was a kid and riding horses and flying kites in the fields. I am working hard to restore this property to the way I remember it and trying to make it enjoyable for those that come to visit. A majority of the property is still being used as a hay field during the summer months and two to three times a year the hay is usually harvested.

I loved my experience at the little barn house! The cabin itself was very cute, and the atmosphere was peaceful for a solo trip to escape city life. Jon was fabulous and incredibly helpful when I was needing some support. It was fun to have some animals nearby too, though hunting season is real, so something to keep in mind. Overall I am super grateful for my experience and would recommend it for anyone looking for a little getaway.

Where else do you have 20+ acres all to yourself? It's such a wonderful space to camp with my dog. And everything is very accommodating. Full hookups and very fast WiFi. Plus it's in a great location for outdoor activities.

There are so many things to love about Candy Mountain Goat Farm. The Upper RV pad was lovely, private space complete with water and electric. Scott is a friendly, helpful host who took time to welcome us, help us set up camp and introduce us to the friendly goats, chickens and the 2 very friendly pups who also call this little farm their home. It rained on us most of the visit but we still had a fun time shopping goat soaps and lotions in the farm store, walking the trails on the property, cooking up the fresh eggs Scott gathered for us just this morning, watched a movie on the shared Plex server, caught up on blog posts with the free WiFi, and gazing at the beautiful trees all around us.

We loved camping on Scott’s goat farm! The camping spot was set up with a campfire spot and picnic table, and there was a working toilet on site for us as well. The goat walk and the cows across the field were the best parts! The goats were really cool, and we got to brush them and learn about goat life. Would definitely camp here again!

Highly recommended. The camp setup is great for both tent or RV camping. The view was amazing especially during fall with the foliage. The area is calm and peaceful. They have a portalet and it is clean and smells nice. There is also a free firwewood and wifi. The camping site is also near sugarloaf ocoee state park and smoky mountain. We would definitely come back to camp again.

Scott and Nancy are quite hospitable. They eagerly share space and offer experiences with their goats and chickens, all of which seem well tended. The farm dogs, Lily and Clay, are friendly and yet not intrusive. Fire pits and yard games were available. Our site was level and perfect for our Class B. We did daily driving excursions off property and the return setup every night was just drive up and plug in - perfect! There were some tent campers on sites below us, and all campers seemed content. The small, full restroom attached to the owner's home was sufficient, and, conditions permitting, a couple of options are offered. Please remember: accommodations are shared and everyone's experience is improved when everyone does a quick tidy-up after each use. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Ralph has put together the perfect camping spot. Falling asleep by a babbling creek beside the fire - under the stars - was the best way I can think of to end a day. We climbed the hill out back to the top where a picnic table was waiting. The smokeless fire pit was so neat.

Our property is one of nine - 5 acre tracts along the river. As of Fall of 2024, the adjacent lots have houses on them. So while this campsite is some distance from the houses, it is currently within view. Although the campsite is back from the highway, road noise can be an issue especially on the weekends. Highway 64 is one of three major roads in the county. Unfortunatley, tents don't block the sounds of Harleys racing down the road at 2 a.m. Consider bringing earplugs or muffs if you are a light sleeper! Within a mile from the end of the driveway there is: Food - Subway Sandwich Shop and the Gondoler restaraunt. Whitewater Outfitters - Ocoee Outdoors, NOC Ocoee Outpost, ACE Ocoee Adventures Myrtles Cafe is now two miles east next to the Firefly Market. Please consider visiting these local business, they provide excellent service. Other - Rock Creek Oufitters Ocoee Store, Ocoee Express Gas Station and Convenience Store, Sugarloaf River Park and Parksville Dam and the entrance to the Cherokee National Forest! Dollar General & Foodcity - 4.2 miles back towards Cleveland (because someone forgot their phone charging cable and you want a 6 pack of beer). Middle Ocoee Private boater takeout is only a 10 minute drive east on Hwy 64. Consider a hike to beautiful Benton Falls - drive to the top of Chilhowee Mountain and it's a 3 mile round trip hike. !!!ALSO!!! Due to the massive damage caused by hurricane Helene on September 27, 2024 - especially to I-40 through the mountains - Highway 64 is now one of the primary routes into NC from TN. Expect traffic along this route to be busier than normal.

Hut or Tent, your choice. We just added the tent platform and it is your choice as to tent platform or Hut. They are about a football field away from each other. Get away from it all on a secluded mature wooded hill twenty minutes from the Ococee River. You can feel how old the Appalachian mountains are here. Remote enough and private but no 4WD needed (flat terrain to parking) and enough neighbors if needed (road running through property leads to subdivision by Apalachia Lake so has traffic on it.) To the right of the road is a creek and bog, to the left we have several acres of woods to explore and relax in. You will see an occasional car on the private road that runs below the Hut but on the hill, you will have complete privacy. Please note we have not yet added a firepit or compost toilet to the tent platform so you will be needing to go to the Hut for both of those. You can get to the Hut from the Platform along the road or through the woods. It is a beautiful place to chill and hang out that we are happy to share with you. Three of ten acres to the right of the road that runs through our property are a bog that runs along a creek with the creek joining wild remote Apalachia Lake. (Pretty much unpassable Nature saying keep out.) But enjoy hiking and exploring our seven gently sloping mature wood hills. There are also lots of well maintained dirt hillside roads for exploring or biking. Enjoy our Baba Yaga hut with only the bare necessities but you will be flat, dry and able to enjoy the woods all to yourself. Or the Tent Platform pretty much complete privacy. When one is rented, we take the other off the calendar so you get the entire place to yourself. Come explore and then chill away from it all.

We have several options for our guests at the farm, including a small zipline, farm activities, loop trail, spring trail, Saturday outdoor movies (on request), and our petting area where you can interact with very friendly goats. Gee Creek Campground
I'm a Whitewater boater, typically my motivation for camping in this area. My review of this campground is two fold, 1) it's a great spot and perfect for the river. It's beautiful and I have enjoyed several nights non the past here 2) just don't even think about cracking open a beer or adult beverage at this campground. One, it's a state campground and a big no no but the rangers have historically been all up in people's business at this campground. If they hear the "click" of a beer can that's probable cause for them to search your campsite. Just be warned, be smart and if you've decided to camp here don't break the rules!
