My oldest son Ben, and I built this campsite in January of 2024, from both our visions, and tried to make it a truly magical setting. Ben was also featured in two episodes of Building Off The Grid, on the Discovery Channel, so he put quite a bit of expertise and knowledge into our site. I love hosting and decorating, so the interior of the tent is constantly changing. Also features cedar outhouse with composting toilet, cedar bridges built across rocks, as well as two chair hammock area, picnic table and gas grill. Firepit has natural log seating and several more folding chairs, pillows and outdoor blankets stored in waterproof chest. Tent features a queen size bed, adult size folding cot stored under bed, adult size sleeping pad, 2 upholstered chairs set up as reading/relaxing nook, coffee maker, and Yeti battery pack for electrical and charging needs. We will provide drinking water and extra water for washing up. We supply all linens and dishware needs. First Aid Kit is provided, but we are just a short walk through the woods if you need anything. Nestled on 1 acre of our 10 acre hobby farm, which includes Peacocks, chickens, 4 cats, 5 Collies and a Weimaraner named Maggie, as well as a couple of goats, including a very friendly dwarf goat named Pickles. You may also see wildlife, such as deer and turkey, strolling down the meadow on the lower part of your site. Strands of lighting and battery candles provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in the evenings. Coolers available if you need one. You can bring up to 2 extra tents for families looking for an out door experience . For additional fees we can provide you with firewood, fresh eggs, homemade breads, cookies, locally sourced honey, and ask us about some home cooked meals! Learn more about this land: We have water, septic and electrical hook ups (50 amp).  This is a back in site. If you are not comfortable backing in, this is not the site for you! If you are staying over the colder months, we do not allow the use of space heaters. You must be using propane to heat.  This is a farm and you are free to roam about in the front field around the camp site and watch the sunset, relax and simply enjoy nature. We are less than an hour drive to 4 different Tennessee State Parks and about 40 minutes east of Nashville.  We do not typically allow dogs for long term stays We have had some confusion come up because people aren't reading the site specifications, so here is the most important.  It is a gravel site, so it is not level. We do have cinder blocks at the site to help with leveling.  The site is going to accommodate rigs 35 to 36 ft max   However, you MUST be comfortable backing your rig.  In the winter, it is dark here by 4:30-5. So if you arrive at that time you will be setting up in the dark.  Make sure you are reading the rules and safety for what is allowed here.

Quarter Spring Farm is located in Liberty, TN on the western edge of the Cumberland Plateau. It comprises 63 acres of wooded ridges and hollows with exceptional hiking and distinct landscape features. Smith Fork Creek, which feeds Center Hill Lake, is visible from the campsite. Quarter Spring Farm’s history is murky and still being discovered. The house is over 100 years old. There are stone property walls that may predate the civil war. We believe this site was a Mississippian period settlement because of the large amount of artifacts we have found. Please note: there is no electricity at the dome. There will be a battery with a light and the option to charge your phone. There is no parking at the dome. The walk is uphill and takes about 5 minutes or so. This is still a tent, the dome is not insulated and is not 100% sealed. Bugs do get inside from time to time. I will also provide you with water for cleaning and at least a gallon to drink. Just let me know if you need more. If you can get here before it gets dark, that is the best. If you can’t, that’s ok, we’ll just be hiking in the dark. Luckily I know my way around pretty good.

We discovered this small homestead 18 years ago. It was built by a man preparing to go off grid, but he never did. In the intervening time, we became enthralled with growing vegetables, raising ducks, grazing sheep and hiking the hills behind us. Then Nicole discovered permaculture and began the process of changing the land using these practices. Great place to get away and enjoy nature, take a walk on our trails through the woods, take a hike down to our creek, listen to the birds and watch the sunset over the pasture while cooking s’mores on the fire, yet not that far from Nashville!  Perfect for enjoying nature and/or visiting Nashville. A secluded hilltop property on 5 acres of trees, an easy 20 minute drive to Nashville. We have great sunsets up here on the hill, a peaceful little dead-end road. The campsite is at corner of our property, tucked just out of sight of our house a couple hundred feet away. You can even get a painted wood cutout version of your favorite creatures from Brett! (see extras and message us for availability) Stay in our camper, a 1963 Shasta, remodeled by us. We removed all of the old broken camper stuff and it is now a simple, colorful room inside, with a full size bed and some fun funky art from our collection. Enjoy an old VHS movie on the little tv, or some classic cassettes in the tape recorder.

Elisabeths cute little spot is great! Directions were perfect, we had no trouble finding it in the dark. She has solar lights that line the space, so backing in was easy. The site is level, has a picnic table & fire pit with chairs set up. It was raining for our stay, so we did not use either…but would have if the weather was nicer. Walked our dog around the property area and up the road in the morning, which was not busy. This Hipcamp was perfect for our roadtrip and one night stop to check out Nashville.

We loved it! The cabin is cozy and cute! Plenty of hiking onsite and friendly dogs/cats to keep you company! Helga was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. She gave great local recommendations and even had fire wood ready for us on arrival! This was great because it had rained the day prior and we had dry wood! The hiking on her property is beautiful. Plenty of rock formations and views. Thank you for a great stay!

Weekend Trip to Chatty Heifer Farm
My partner and I made a last minute decision to go camping when our schedules changed. Patti was extremely friendly and communicative immediately when we made our reservation. I really enjoyed hearing from her. The campsite is not very far from Nashville and was a perfect getaway. The campsite has three guard dogs that are SUPER sweet. They were very playful with our 1 and 1/2 year old German Shepherd (who still thinks he’s, like, a 6 month old). We also felt very happy that these dogs were guarding us during the night. The road is somewhat close to the campsite but it didn’t have heavy traffic. This site was perfect for the three of us looking at a short, impromptu night away from home! The creek and birds were lovely to wake up to and we came home the next day cheerful and relaxed. We were at Site 2, but Site 3 also seemed great for a larger group.

This was a camping trip I'll never forget. William was such a kind and hospitable man, his property was nothing short of breathtaking. This place was a great escape from 9-5 city life and I can't wait to return. Don't ignore other reviews about how steep the small trek up to the shack is! It's a short walk but very steep and uneven/rocky ground. Make sure you wear good shoes/boots! Rocket and Bo 🐕 we're the sweetest dogs and great company when they weren't busy chasing squirrels. I very much enjoyed the hike along an old logging road on Will's land, about 1.5 miles and took me less than an hour at a slow pace, saw deer tracks and the deer that left them about half-way through. It was such a beautiful and peaceful hike; I wish I looped back around to make longer! There were no mosquitoes or ticks to be seen but be prepared for lots of Chinese lady beetles (look like lady bugs but are very invasive and annoying!) And stink bugs, if you come in the fall or spring. The shack had bedding, an amazing wood stove, cooking/art supplies, books and much more. Again, Will was so gracious and hospital. He checked in on me by msg in the mornings, showed me around his woodworking studio and informed me about his property and animals. His artwork is truly something else, the man is a real artist and beautiful soul. I bought a cutting board and Will picked me some greens from his garden before I left. I would highly recommend staying here and can't wait to return myself!

Weekend Trip to Camp Nashville Highland Rim
Tent camping here was a breeze. It felt very secluded despite only being 15 minutes or so from Nashville. We did hear some faint traffic nearby but not a peep during the night hours. There were some people hunting way far off in the distant and we heard some rifles go off a few times during the day, but we didn't feel unsafe by any means during our stay. The site was beautiful, fully surrounded by trees at the top of the hill--exactly what I was hoping for. Speaking of hills, there is a pretty steep hill to get up, yes--but with 4WD it wasn't really an issue for me at all. The sites are first come first serve and there was only my fiance and myself plus one other family that showed up several hours later. They were far enough away that we could barely see them. There's potable water and a toilet a decent walk from the site, but we didn't use either so I can't speak to those. Our interaction with the host was very minimal since it's self check-in and check out, but we didn't need anything other than the directions that were provided (which were very easy to follow). Overall I'd highly recommend this site if you're looking for some seclusion but don't want to drive hours away from the convenience Nashville area.

My oldest son Ben, and I built this campsite in January of 2024, from both our visions, and tried to make it a truly magical setting. Ben was also featured in two episodes of Building Off The Grid, on the Discovery Channel, so he put quite a bit of expertise and knowledge into our site. I love hosting and decorating, so the interior of the tent is constantly changing. Also features cedar outhouse with composting toilet, cedar bridges built across rocks, as well as two chair hammock area, picnic table and gas grill. Firepit has natural log seating and several more folding chairs, pillows and outdoor blankets stored in waterproof chest. Tent features a queen size bed, adult size folding cot stored under bed, adult size sleeping pad, 2 upholstered chairs set up as reading/relaxing nook, coffee maker, and Yeti battery pack for electrical and charging needs. We will provide drinking water and extra water for washing up. We supply all linens and dishware needs. First Aid Kit is provided, but we are just a short walk through the woods if you need anything. Nestled on 1 acre of our 10 acre hobby farm, which includes Peacocks, chickens, 4 cats, 5 Collies and a Weimaraner named Maggie, as well as a couple of goats, including a very friendly dwarf goat named Pickles. You may also see wildlife, such as deer and turkey, strolling down the meadow on the lower part of your site. Learn more about this land: We have water, septic and electrical hook ups (50 amp).  This is a back in site. If you are not comfortable backing in, this is not the site for you! If you are staying over the colder months, we do not allow the use of space heaters. You must be using propane to heat.  This is a farm and you are free to roam about in the front field around the camp site and watch the sunset, relax and simply enjoy nature. We are less than an hour drive to 4 different Tennessee State Parks and about 40 minutes east of Nashville.  We do not typically allow dogs for long term stays We have had some confusion come up because people aren't reading the site specifications, so here is the most important.  It is a gravel site, so it is not level. We do have cinder blocks at the site to help with leveling.  The site is going to accommodate rigs 35 to 36 ft max   However, you MUST be comfortable backing your rig.  In the winter, it is dark here by 4:30-5. So if you arrive at that time you will be setting up in the dark.  Make sure you are reading the rules and safety for what is allowed here.

Quarter Spring Farm is located in Liberty, TN on the western edge of the Cumberland Plateau. It comprises 63 acres of wooded ridges and hollows with exceptional hiking and distinct landscape features. Smith Fork Creek, which feeds Center Hill Lake, is visible from the campsite. Quarter Spring Farm’s history is murky and still being discovered. The house is over 100 years old. There are stone property walls that may predate the civil war. We believe this site was a Mississippian period settlement because of the large amount of artifacts we have found. Please note: there is no electricity at the dome. There will be a battery with a light and the option to charge your phone. There is no parking at the dome. The walk is uphill and takes about 5 minutes or so. This is still a tent, the dome is not insulated and is not 100% sealed. Bugs do get inside from time to time. I will also provide you with water for cleaning and at least a gallon to drink. Just let me know if you need more. If you can get here before it gets dark, that is the best. If you can’t, that’s ok, we’ll just be hiking in the dark. Luckily I know my way around pretty good.

We discovered this small homestead 18 years ago. It was built by a man preparing to go off grid, but he never did. In the intervening time, we became enthralled with growing vegetables, raising ducks, grazing sheep and hiking the hills behind us. Then Nicole discovered permaculture and began the process of changing the land using these practices. With our three dogs, cats, goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks and chicken (there is only one chicken), things can be pretty merry around her. There are aquaponics and hydroponics to check out for fun. Plus, Nicole is one of the region's only craft coffee roasters, so you are in for a treat if you come visit and like coffee because she tends to make coffee most mornings. Learn more about this land: Hang your hammock or pitch your tent in the back acres of a small homestead integrating permaculture practices. Hang out in our land for your whole visit checking out the holler we live in, dunk in the creek by the road, or drive over the hill to Center Hill Marine, or across the dam to Edgar Evins State park, or canoe the Caney Fork River! Sorry - No dogs please. Kayaking and fishing is also so close you can almost hear it - but you can't. Which is good.  Our property has a composting outhouse and the outdoor shower attached to the house has hot and cold water. Cedars of Lebanon State Park offers 1,139 acres of natural beauty in Middle Tennessee. Named for the eastern red cedar trees that reminded early American settlers of the famed Biblical cedar forests that thrived across Mount Lebanon in the Mediterranean, it also provides a wealth of recreational and wildlife viewing opportunities. The park has four trails that meander through woodlands and meadows where you can look for foxes, deer, squirrels, rabbits, and turkeys. After a peaceful hike, enjoy a picnic lunch beneath a canopy of these majestic trees and then camp (both tents and RVs are welcome) under the starry skies.
