About Tyme Farm is a 26 plus acre privately owned farm used for crops such as corn, soy beans and sunflowers. The property includes a 150+ year old stone farm house, large historic barn on the barn quilt tour in Carroll County, renovated camping cabin for those not into rough camping, fields, streams , woods for hiking, plenty of wild life and lots of quiet. The farm is surrounded by other farms in the agricultural preservation program yet you are only 5 miles from stores, movies, antiques and other aspects of civilization or entertainment if needed. Enjoy watching the deer come out of the woods and meander along the stream and fields at dusk and return in the morning. Electric, water, fire pit and a Port a Pot is available even for rough campers. Pets welcome but must be on a leash or exercise pen or with their owners in some way while here for their safety. There is a large fenced yard for dogs that just have to run if needed. Glamorous camping with a furnished heated/cooled cabin is available for rent by the night for those who do not have camping equipment or do not want to rough it. For those that have been camping before and have all the equipment there is plenty of room for a tent or camper near the buildings or by the stream or woods. For RV owners there is 50amp electric service in the barn. You will need an RV extension cord to access it. I have a 100 ft RV ext. cord but it can be farther than that depending on where you park. Bring one of your own to be sure. It is a farm and not set up like an RV park with numerous outlets.

Laureleye Farms is a 70-acre working horse farm in SE PA with access to great hiking trails and the Brandywine River for floating, dipping, or just sitting. Everyone is welcome here. We embrace individuals of all genders, races, and cultures, and their well-behaved pets, too. We have a paddock for rent if you would like to bring your horse. As a working farm, we request you drive slowly and be respectful of the people and animals on the farm. We go to bed early and hope you do too. Noise must be kept to a minimum when the sun goes down. This chapel was AWESOME! Very unique, set in an incredibly peaceful and serene valley in rural Pennsylvania about an hour outside of Philly. As long as you are prepared with plenty of food and water, and what you need to sleep comfortably, and are prepared to use a pit toilet, you should have a fantastic stay. It was so fun to light candles and wonder about all the history that had happened in the chapel over the years. Plenty of space for a few people to sleep (we had 3). Susannah was open to us coming across the river to their property the next morning to meet some of the horses :) I only wish I had more time to explore the hiking. 10/10 would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Weekend Trip to The Agape
My daughter and I had a lovely stay at the little water house over Memorial Weekend! So peaceful and relaxing! The house sits on top of the water, so you get it all! Gorgeous birds of all kinds! House has the basics, so byobasics. Loved it, reminded me of home in Texas on the river. Hosts were perfect. and give you the privacy you need! Shawna was great!

Weekend Trip to Laureleye Farms
I absolutely loved the chapel in the woods! It was so magical and the surrounding areas were just gorgeous. We really enjoyed our time walking on local trails, birdwatching, and dipping our feet in the creek. The chapel itself stayed cool all night. It was beautiful waking up to the sun coming in through the arched glass windows. Thank you, Susannah! I’d love to come back.

The chapel is such a beautiful historic building that was such an extraordinary warm experience. The land is beautiful, the chapel is in fantastic shape, the horses are a majestic touch!! It’s exactly as listed: no water, no electricity, so as long as you come prepared you will absolutely have a memorable time! I think this would make a great solo, romantic, or friend group outing. I had a great time camping in this adorable little chapel. Perfect weather for it in mid April. Make sure to bring enough lanterns/candles etc. I'm definitely not used to such dim lighting at night and found myself wishing for another lantern. I also took the farm tour and Susannah was absolutely lovely.

Lovely little chapel, with beautiful old wood floors. Was a little cold at first and definitely need a bunch of wood and time to heat up. So make sure you have the right sleeping gear. Was able to cook with our pans directly on the cast iron stove. Dogs loved it and slept comfortably. Would stay again.

The Chapel is a beautiful little getaway located next to Buck Run, a refreshing creek nestled in a serene landscape of horse farms and wooded areas. You can walk right into the Laurels, a stunning 500-acre preserve of land with lovely trails to run and walk. We can highly recommend staying here!

Weekend Trip to Maryland Health Society
The cabin was so comfortable and exactly what I needed. I spent probably half of my weekend enjoying the bug-free front porch, listening to music (and playing!), and just having a totally empty brain. The people, though - they really made the stay! I was welcomed into conversations as though I'd been part of the community for years. There was room to explore! The pool was a welcome surprise - I only say that because I'm not much of a pool guy. This was where folks gathered to talk, read, snack... whatever! What a wonderful community!
