The cabin is about 15 minutes from downtown Piedmont, which has multiple coffee shops, restaurants, fast food, grocery stores, and antique shops. We provide a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, oven with stovetop, dishwasher, and kitchenware to make your stay comfortable. You will be blown away by the mountain and creek views. A hiking path leads up to an overlook with a swing — the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the sunrise. We are 15–20 minutes from Indian Mountain ATV Park (with space to park your trailer) and less than a two-hour drive to Birmingham, Chattanooga, and Atlanta. Visit Gadsden (~35 minutes) to explore Noccalula Falls Park, especially beautiful with Christmas lights, or Fort Payne (~an hour) to explore Little River Canyon and Desoto Falls. We also have a raised-bed vegetable garden that guests are welcome to harvest during their stay. Our property offers especially stunning views in the fall when the leaves are changing. Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. The cabin sits in the middle of a ten-acre property adjacent to the Talladega National Forest. It is located eight miles north of the small town of Heflin, Alabama, which is about an hour and a half from the metro areas of Birmingham, Alabama, and Atlanta, Georgia. Off a small county road, a private half-mile gravel road leads to the property’s end. The cabin is surrounded by hundreds of square miles of forest. To the west, directly behind the cabin, there are over nine miles of continuous forest before reaching a hard-top road, and beyond that, over six miles to the next road. To the north, there are over sixty miles of continuous forest to the next road. Pinhoti Trailheads are nearby. The ten acres is mostly forested, and all surrounding properties are similarly wooded. The back side of the property is bordered by a year-round creek. There are two open meadows, one of which is a pawpaw orchard. Trails and a covered pavilion are located down by the creek. In season, you can enjoy blueberries, blackberries, and muscadines. Because the property is so remote—and because the surrounding areas adhere to International Dark Sky standards—you can enjoy spectacular stargazing on clear nights. Great place to stay! Not far from Chattanooga proper so we were able to use uber/lyft. Perfect place for me as someone who experiences sensory overload - room was dark and quite also perfect for my girlfriend who is always cold bc they have a heated mattress pad. They are both very talented artists and we enjoyed our tour of their studios& even bought two pieces of art. Will come back!

Perfect little location for some fall trees and a little getaway. The cabin had everything I needed with the extra bonus of the personal hot tub! Instructions about everything in the cabin were very easy to follow. I also appreciated how this one felt a little more secluded than some of the neighbors!

We had such a relaxing time! The cabin was perfect for the 5 of us and it had all the amenities we needed. We loved the lights around the campsite, and the kids took over the loft area in the cabin! Having a nice bathroom and the kitchen area just enhanced the stay! The highlight was enjoying the sweet kitties that spent time with us! It was a perfect little getaway!

I can’t say enough good things about my stay! The farm setting was absolutely serene — nestled along a river and within striking distance of the mountains. Every detail was so thoughtfully done, from the well-kept amenities to the little touches that made it feel both comfortable and connected to nature. What really stood out was the hospitality. The hosts were genuinely kind and welcoming, and they went out of their way to help me plan things to do in the area — from scenic spots to local hidden gems; they went out of their way to make my stay extra special. Between the peaceful surroundings, beautiful scenery, and top-notch amenities, this place was the perfect balance of comfort and adventure. I left feeling refreshed, grounded, and already dreaming of coming back. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful escape in nature!

Weekend Trip to Running Water Creek

First time camping ever and we were absolutely blessed by this site! It was such a wonderful way to ease ourselves into camping, everything was super accessible while still maintaining our privacy and allowing us to fend for ourselves just a bit lol I would recommend bringing extra blankets and pillows, thankfully we did and it made a world of a difference. Would so come back!

Weekend Trip to Cabin and Barn on 20 Peaceful Acres

A very comfortable camping set up. Quite a lot of space in the woods to ourselves and between outhouses, with a large clearing in the middle for kids to enjoy. Kitchen and dining area under the barn is very well equipped. I didn't need to bring any extra cooking or dining equipment. Took us a little time to figure out the hot water in the shower but it does make a difference when it's on. Lots of products and some toilet paper provided. The wooden cabin was a great set up for sleeping. Very well ventilated and little fairy lights for nice ambiance. We took our air mattresses and sheets and it was like a little camp hotel. There is a road nearby but it's completely silent at night and pretty quiet during the day too. Horses on the property make great scenery. All in all clean and well maintained. Would just recommend taking a bath mat for the shower floor and tea towels for the kitchen for maximum comfort. Host was very easy to contact at any point and very helpful.

Dog's are allowed but not pit bulls, I have a boxer and she was fine. Management drove around telling everyone to be quiet during campfire 8-9 pm not a good place for a large group. Nice and clean campground. But they expect silent campers.

One of North Georgia's least known parks - this little slice of heaven is a best kept secret. I almost don't want people to know about it, because I love it so much and I want to keep it to myself. :)
