Tucked in on 4.5 acres, this spot is a secluded, enchanting piece of old Florida. Stay in one of our three designated camping sites, tie up a hammock, gaze at the pond inhabitants****, and check out what's growing in the seasonal garden. Also enjoy the many flowering plants and other special trees.
Florida's gem-colored, healing spring waters are just a 20 minutes up the way and local retreat centers and yoga studios dot the area. Gator fans? Head into Gainesville for a game and to visit the University of Florida.

To note for all guests: We suggest arriving before dark so as to make set up easy and comfortable. We do not require a formal check-in and encourage being self-reliable in set up of primitive campsites. (For something with more structure and a space already set up, check out our Aframe cabin.) We do have water, a composting toilet, sink, and groundtemp shower for your use.

If you like camping, you will love this getaway. Our unique Treehouse (one queen bed on main floor plus small single bed in the loft) plus Rustic Cabin rental (1 bedroom with 1 queen bed, loft with double bed) brings you back to nature for relaxation and unplugging. Located just minutes from the Suwannee River with wonderful, clear, freshwater springs that are great for paddling and swimming. Just escape and relax among the trees, play outdoor games and have a campfire, or visit nearby springs, parks and rivers. Enjoy an outdoor shower under the stars.
Warm up next to the campfire and create new memories. Old Town is a small town, 20 minutes north of Chiefland, 45 minutes northeast of Cedar Key and 45 minutes northwest of Gainesville. We allow a maximum of 7 people and 2 cars.
Our retreat is designed to bring peace and simplicity, it’s a place to disconnect and breathe again. It helps us to rejuvenate and reconnect with nature and as a family. We believe everyone needs time away to breathe, that’s why we are sharing our little piece of nature with you. Trade the cell phone for a book on insect ID (there are plenty of bugs, this is the woods!) Relax in the hammock and look at how bright the stars are. Sit on the deck of the treehouse and enjoy the view of the treetops. Enjoy a refreshing outdoor shower. Breathe....

The place used to be a campground and also on the property is a restaurant. The place was very popular, but unfortunately somehow it got closed. Royal Springs River House Retreat aka "The Treehouse"
This 3 acre Retreat is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath stilt house with epic breezes and views of the historic Suwannee River, with huge wrap around deck, covered screened room with breakfast bar, and large Florida room aka the game room with foosball table/chess/checkers/backgammon and Pac-Man arcade game. It has multiple picnic tables, outside grill, fire pit, hammocks, and authentic Adirondack chairs for relaxing by the fire, or by the river, all overlooking a huge backyard and natural river view. Bring your RV as well - there is plenty of room, or see listing link below for full hook-ups next door!
Bring a picnic lunch and walk to Royal Springs and jump off the dock into the crystal clear blue/green spring. Bring your boat or jet ski as there is a boat ramp at the spring as well. Kayak up and down the river and discover the hidden springs nearby.
Go spring hopping to some of the many beautiful springs in the area, such as Little River Spring, Peacock Springs, Charles Springs, and be sure to tube the lazy river at Ichetucknee Springs.

2 nights at Wildflower Pond and Woodlands
Firstly NESTLE sucks and is ruining local agriculture and access to water. That being said the family was wonderful, we had a very kind note and some great tea left by Allie and had the pleasure of meeting her father who was just a ray of sunshine. The campsite is def more of a summer camp but it was BEAUTIFUL every second! Thanks again yall!!

After five days of hotel stays with whirring AC systems, elevator sounds and weary staff members, it was BLISS to stay at Quartermoon Cottage and listen to owls as we sat around a campfire before slipping in to our four-poster bed after bidding goodnight to our incredible hosts. This was our third stay there and it won't be the last. Highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Purradise Springs
Tent, bedding, heating, cooling included. It got down to 37 degrees. But we were comfortable. Now for the best part: there are over 100 cats that roam the camp, and they come and go from your tent as they please! We had about 6 cats in our tent at one point, and woke up to 3 cats still snuggling with us!

This cabin is spacious, warm and safe. We were in need of a place to stay. Stacey has many different options to pick from rent and RV spots to even a pioneer campsite. Now that's rad. We were also provided firewood that we were not charged for because it was raining. Stacey is a great host.

Weekend Trip to Purradise Springs
What an absolute adventure. Located not ever 10 mins from ichetucknee this spectacular campsite comes complete with everything you need from showers to easy fresh water to even a trampoline to get your bounce on! Not too mention all of our new feline furry friends. Oh my love these Lil critters made the trip so full of emotion and style its very easy to find favorites. The hosts were also just plain good, fun, easy going people. Will definitely be back !!!!

This little A-frame and surrounding property is absolutely perfect!!! It rained while I was there, and I had the best sleep ever listening to the rain on the roof. Allie left a little note, and set up firewood for me. All the little details were so wonderful. I highly recommend!!!

Our stay absolutely exceeded my expectations! What a beautiful, calming, and hospitable animal sanctuary/farm experience. Every Friday and Saturday night they light a fire and had marshmallows and sticks already sitting out. Trudy was very accommodating in our day of booking. It was a perfect overnight stay. Kokomo Farms was whimsical and exciting to stay at with the chickens, horses, trampoline to stargaze. Trudy and Greg have thought of those little details that Mae the place extra special. Definitely check out their plants, seeds, loofahs, etc for sale while you’re there :)
