Located in the Sierra Nevada foothills on route to Sequoia National Park makes our location very convenient. This is agricultural land which mainly grow citrus, nuts and other tree crops. Citrus groves have windmachines for frost protection and if the nighttime temperature dips below 36 degrees, they start up automatically. This can be noisy depending on how severe the frost threat is to the crops. We are 5 minutes from great restaurants and 45 minutes from Sequioa National Park.

Our camp area is right next to our home. We live on 2 acres which is apart of our families 500 acre ranch and home to a summer camp and retreats. We live in a remote area and its beautiful and quiet. There is a local town 6 miles down the road that has several places to eat and one small place to get some grocery.
This property that we live on has been lived on now by 4 generations. My grandpa bought this land with his brother in 1940s. His brother eventually sold his portion leaving my grandpa with a little over 500 acres...We also run retreats off and on year round on the main property and offer a wide variety of things for our clients. Due to COVID, and the strange year had, we thought that this would help us gain a little of our money lost as well as meet some really cool travelers along the way.
We call this God's country because it is a unique and beautiful peace of land, even in the driest of moments. And...there is beautiful manzanita trees all over property.
We personally live 1/2 mile from the main part of the property Jameson Ranch, where the summer camp is held. I love to garden and are in the process of expanding our portion of the property to putting in fruit orchards and berry bushes.
Our whole property also borders the Sequoia National Forest and there are some fun walking trails around there. Its very peaceful here and a reconnect with nature so to speak if that is what you are looking for.
We hope to share this little bit of our heaven with you.

Our 20-acre farm features peach trees, chickens, and two friendly dogs. We’re located just 8 miles from the Kings River for floating and boating, 2 hours from the mountains, Shaver Lake, and Dinkey Creek area (our favorite camping destination), and only 2 miles from Kingsburg—a small town with several great restaurants and a brewery.
My husband and I recently bought our first motorhome and hope to use it to travel around the country. We have two adult children, their spouses, and one new grandchild. Over the years, we’ve been grape farmers and foster parents. I currently work in EMS, and my husband, Nathan, works in a lab for an engineering company. We’re looking forward to retirement, traveling the country, reconnecting with old friends and former foster children, and making new friends along the way.

Missed the flowers by a couple weeks thus the foxtails were out and challenging with dogs. Other than the foxtails, it was a great spot. We’d come again earlier next spring during the green season.

This is a prime spot. Dale and Mona have a beautiful place. As you drive down the driveway, the property is deceptive. When you venture behind the house, it opens onto a beautiful sandy beach area along the river. We thoroughly enjoyed talks on the dock, dips in the river, and the warmth of the sun and our host. Mona's place can accommodate RVs, tents, and those who like to glamp in one of the RVs on site.

Would stay again. We arrived late at night and were plenty of spots open. There was a self pay station that was easy to use and you can pay nightly for your spot. There is a list of the reservations on the board next to it so you don’t pay for a spot someone has reserved. The bathrooms and showers were cleaned daily. Showers were also free and quick to warm up.
The only negative note is coming in at night was a little spooky. You go through the historic town on the way to the campground and there’s no towns near by. The train often stops on the tracks going in and out but thankfully there is a way around.

This is a convenient place to camp when travelling through the area since there isn't many other options around. Don't forget your mosquito repellent and watch out for bunnies and field mice when driving by night! Amenities are great, showers are free and clean.

It’s in the Central Valley, so temperatures can definitely rise in the summer -- make sure to bring sufficient water and sunblock.
