Update on Fire ban: I spoke with the forest ranger of Yadkin County, and You ARE allowed SMALL campfires for cooking and heating purposes only. No bonfires. Charcoal and propane grills are OK too.
Please respect our land by not bringing firewood from off-site and burning it here. We are a working farm that allows camping, not a campground. Our native trees and crops could easily be devastated by outside diseases or pests that are carried in firewood. We offer firewood for sale from our farm (delivered to your site for no additional fee). You do NOT have to purchase it prior to your arrival, and we have large tubs too!
Our STORE offers firewood, meats, eggs, Tallow, lard (both rendered right here!), drinks, Amish ice cream and jams/jellies/preserves, hammocks, hammock chairs, smoked dog bones, soaps (made right here), rentals of: cast iron cookware, a tent, Coleman stove, fishing poles, ... and MUCH MORE!
Please note that all our sites are reserved with a one vehicle limit. Some sites are large enough to accommodate additional vehicles but each additional vehicle will incur a $10 per night charge. Free parking for additional vehicles is located at the office/store.
Looking for a camping experience with a little luxury to boot? Look no further than our Oasis at Harmon Creek Farms! You can drive right up to most sites, weather permitting. You will have access to a fire ring and picnic table (located at each site), firewood for sale on site (please do not bring firewood from off-site), clean well water (located near the pond), the creek to explore, our stocked pond to fish, and wooded trails to hike. Once roamed by Native Americans and now farmed by the same family for over 6 generations, Harmon Creek Farm is a working farm of over 160 acres. Peace, quiet, tranquility and privacy are overflowing along the creek, and hiking throughout the hills on the backside of the farm (and on the other side of the creek) leads to interesting and abundant flora and fauna. The stocked, spring fed pond is 'brimming" with angler challenges🎣

Tellurian Family Campground offers conveniently located spacious travel trailer, camper, RV and tent camp sites with incredible views and access to a pristine mountain river. The property consists of 93 acres and 2780 feet (1⁄2 mile) of river frontage on the First Broad River. The First Broad River offers canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and fishing. Smallmouth and freshwater sunfishing is incredible on this stretch of the river and there are also opportunities for mountain river catfish.
Tellurian’s scenic location offers stunning vista views of the surrounding countryside, sprawling views of the South Mountain and Cherry Mountain ranges, as well as long range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The sunsets are amazing and the star lit skies are uninhibited by city lights. One of the few lights that can be seen at night lights up a steeple silhouetted against the mountain ridges. It’s truly a peaceful site.
Tellurian is centrally located between Charlotte NC, Asheville NC, and Spartanburg SC in the small town of Casar, NC. We are located in a rural setting in the foothills on the edge of the South Mountains Range, a branch of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

We have always enjoyed quiet secluded campsites, river floats and sitting by the river. After years of looking all over the mountains for a river property we could call our own, our favorite spot on the river came up for sale. It just so happened it was nearly halfway between where we both grew up. After many sleepless nights worrying if we could succeed or not (it was much larger than properties we had been looking for), we bought it! Our favorite spot on the river was virtually inaccessible by any way other than floating. But after hundreds of hours of hard work, we think we have developed a place where others too can enjoy the things we do about the property. We dream big and Tellurian remains a work in progress, but we feel we have created a place where folks can enjoy the peacefulness of nature, the river and incredible views.
Naming our campground proved to be one of the most challenging tasks throughout the process of developing it. After many ideas and brainstorming sessions as a family, we decided to go with Tellurian. We know it’s a bit different; that’s what we like about it. We think our place stands out and, after visiting Tellurian, we think you’ll agree it does too.

Easy drive right to the campsite
There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee.
A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite.
Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, the weather can change conditions and make it unusable.
I should also add that this is not completely private. The camp is visible from a shared driveway, and my residence is up a hill that overlooks the area. Also, I do not own the land on the other side of the stream. Occasionally, the owners of that land will also end a weekend afternoon enjoying the waterfall view
Still much quieter and more private than a regular campground.
Close to the U.S. National Whitewater Center (mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking), Kings Mountain National Military Park (Horseback riding and history), Crowders Mountain (Hiking), 3 miles off of I-85 and US-321 for people passing through.

We invite you to enjoy one of our two full hookup RV sites which includes 20/30/50 amp service, sewer, and water at each campsite. Our pads are extra wide, level, and extra long complete with a fire pit and picnic table. Sites are located in a grassy field surrounded by forest. Our 70 acre property boasts scenic views, two small ponds with fish to feed, and marked hiking trails. This is a perfect place for star gazing. It's our hope that you will find genuine peace and relaxation here.
Due to requests a second site was created in February '22. This is a perfect place for two families to enjoy this acreage all to themselves. Please see photo denoting the location of site 1 and site 2. Each site is booked independently.

NASCAR North Wilkesboro Speedway 18 miles, Wilkesboro/N. Wilkesboro (Merelefest, Faithfest, Brushy Mountain Apple Festival) 16 miles, West Jefferson 28 miles, Stone Mountain State Park 24 miles, Boone 43 miles, Tweetsie Railroad 46 miles, Grandfather Mtn 56 miles, Mt. Airy (Mayberry) 53 miles.
We have had several 40+ft rigs stay with us with no issue. For those not accustomed to mountain travel or new drivers please know that travel off NC 18 on the state road is a typical two lane paved mountain road with curves, some of which will require you to swing wide, a couple of areas of moderate incline but that does not exceed 8%, a short state maintained gapped section of gravel and an occasional low hanging branch. At the campsites there is a slight incline and some loose gravel.
Caution: Wildlife present in the area including bear, bobcat, deer, turkey.

Just 30 minutes west, you’ll find the Blue Ridge Parkway. Kerr Scott Lake is only 10 minutes away, where you can swim, rent kayaks and pontoon boats, fish, or enjoy mountain biking and hiking on extensive trails. Prayer Mountain is about 2 miles up the road.
To the east, explore several wineries and a local moonshine distillery. A half-hour away, visit the Amish community with shops like Shiloh Bakery and General Store (closed Sundays and Mondays).

The Neal Creek campsites are semi-wooded areas with plenty of shade. They are very large private, peaceful and quiet sites.
The Back Forty Camping is semi-wooded area with plenty of privacy!
View the stars at night, relax during the day or if you are into biking or hiking, go to the Overmountain Victory trail located about 15 minutes away and enjoy the 6.7 mile loop around Lake Whelchel right off I-85.

Eden Oaks Vineyard & Campground was a tobacco farm (antique tobacco barn still on property). The house was built in 1910 and has been updated. We purchased it in 2014 and converted it into a vineyard.
We have RV sites with 50 amp and 30 amp electric hookups and water, and tents sites. For 2023 our rates are $30/night for RV Sites (50 amp or 30 amp electric hookups and water) and $25/night for Tent Sites. Tent sites do not have electricity or water hookups, but water is available at the well. (Due to inflation, 2024 our rates will be $30/night for RV Sites, $25/night for Tent Sites.) We do not have a dump station, but we do have a Port A John
and a list of dump stations nearby.
Campfires are allowed unless we have a state issued burning ban. Campers are responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires. Please be extremely careful during dry or drought conditions.
Conveniently located one mile from Hwy 421 but remote and peaceful with plenty of room to roam on our 22 acres with grapevines, fruit trees, forest, creeks, fields, goats, Beagle and Jackabee (Beagle/Jack Russell) dogs, cows, chickens, ducks and goats. Also, we have wildlife such as birds, squirrels, groundhogs, deer, raccoons, opossums, etc. We are about 15 miles from Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro (home of the Merle Fest and Apple Festival). Eden Oaks is 18 miles from W. Kerr Scott Dam & Reservoir, 24 miles from Stone Mt. State Park, and 10 miles from Elkin (sponsors of the Wine Festival and Pumpkin Festival).
Eden Oaks is in the heart of the Yadkin Valley and Swan Creek AVAs
(American Viticultural Area).
We're next door (3 miles) to Raffaldini and Piccione Vineyards.
Take a day trip to Boone, Blowing Rock, Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt. Airy, Winston-Salem, Charlotte or additional areas of interest.

Shaded and semiprivate in woods with creek on property. Located on a working vineyard in the Swan Creek AVA. Primitive camp sites with campfire pits. Water, garbage cans, some sites have electricity available. We offer individual sites of up to 4 people and group sites of up to 12 people. We have 3 RV sites with water and 50 amp electric service, and one with 30 amp and water. We have 4 primitive tent sites with fire pits. We enjoyed tent camping near the waterfall. The ground is sandy, perfect for no lumps under the tent. A rake was in the shed, so we were able to clear the area under out tent quite easily.
There is plenty of shade to stay cool as well as sunny spots.
The pool below the falls is cool and flowing. A perfect temperature to cool of in on our late June trip.
Scott was helpful and friendly when he delivered firewood and responded quickly to messages we sent.
We would love to stay here again soon.

The campsites were very spacious, remote and very well kept. Each site had a grill,picnic table, swing and bundles of firewood were provided. The creek behind our site was very peaceful. Sites were very easy to get to as well. We would definitely recommend and or use again if we are traveling down that way again.

First Hipcamp experience. Scott was a great host and the site was just as pictured. Definitely recommend water shoes for the waterfall area. The site also has a lot of sand, I would have liked to have a pair of boots or closed shoe to wear when I was done with sand on my feet. Not a bad thing, just good to know. The sand helped keep the area clean when it rained so it wasn’t a muddy mess after which also was great. The Swings were nice. Charcoal and propane grill were nice luxuries as well. The portapotty was very clean upon arrival and had TP and hand sanitizer inside. Scott brought us firewood for an extra fee and was very helpful and friendly in every way. Solar charger works well for basic charging needs ( small electronics or rechargeable fans). Close proximity to gas station, grocery and other necessities.
Book this site, you will not regret it!! We will be back.

Weekend Trip to Yurt At Lake James And Fonta Flora
It was a great experience! It was awesome having the lake right there to take our paddle boards on the lake whenever we wanted to. The yurt was very clean, the generator worked very well to keep the fan running to combat the humidity. Having a convenient store 2min away was also great to get more ice, bug bite cream and snacks! Brianna was very responsive when we thought the fan wasnt working but turns out it just needed a min to get going lol. Pack light bc she has everything you could need: towels, plates, cookware, coffee mugs, coffee, dry firewood, lighter, extra blankets. It was wonderful and we will def be back!! It was actually nice having cell service too :)

What a greeting! Janet and Matthew welcomed us at the entrance and led us to our site. We were presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers! The sites were so clean and FHU were well organized. While there we took advantage of the hiking paths that were cleared. To say a lot of planning and thought went into this place would be an understatement. They thought of everything from water drainage to brush clearance all for visitors to enjoy. What a beautiful property and a beautiful couple! We will visit again!

Weekend Trip to The Dancing Pig On Abbotts Creek
This HipCamp property was a beautiful, peaceful and enriching way to unwind and appreciate nature. I enjoyed chasing around several species of rare birds, taking in the abundance of fauna and flora all around me and seeing my 11 year old daughter interact with the farm animals. The hospitality that the hosts showed us was very special and appreciated. I’m thankful for the experience.

Cheryl and family were awesome hosts! They were very understanding and flexible when our arrival time needed to change last minute. They guided us right to our spot when we arrived. The spot was as described and perfect for our camper setup. The property is fantastic and perfect for primitive camping. Camp sites are set apart enough to offer a decent amount of privacy. The public shower/bathhouse was a nice accommodation for the primitive camping but it would be nice if guests could make hot/cold adjustments in shower instead of just an on/off switch to turn on the water. They have several things in their onsite store to purchase that were very convenient and also help support the farm! Keep it local if you can right?! Their sausage was fantastic! We will definitely be back!

This campground was an absolute delight! It’s off the grid and not a large resort campground, which makes it perfect for those seeking a more relaxed camping experience. The views are breathtaking, and the river access is beautiful. My two small children had a blast there.
However, if you’re looking for a campground with a ton of amenities and all the things that come with resort camping, this isn’t the place for you. But if you’re looking for a peaceful and off-the-grid camping experience, this is the place to be!
The owners were also incredibly helpful. A huge storm rolled in, and they were concerned for our safety. He recommended that we hunker down in the bathhouse/recreational space until the storm passed. We definitely will be returning!

Cheryl is a gem and her property is a beautiful, special place! Site 1 is perfect for large groups and my friends and our dogs and I enjoyed playing in the creek and fishing in the pond. The location is beautiful and private except for the occasional staff members working in the property. . There is access to deep swimming holes and shallow places in the creek to place a chair and just relax. The best part of this site is how kind and generous the folks who manage it are. It is absolutely our go-to camping site

Cheryl was a phenomenal host, we had a really nice shady spot in woods behind the farm, had our own private drive on our site near the creek. It was just a 4 minute walk up to the store, bath house (which was actually really nice), and the pond. The water was a little low and murky due to the drought they were having, but still managed to catch 5 bass and a bluegill that had to be 3/4 of a lb (that's a stud). They also had a really nice farm and lots of different animals you could pet and feed. At their store they offer a great variety of freshly butched meats and produce the get from the farm (cash is king). Their salted bacon was some of the best bacon I'd ever had and don't even get me started on the fresh ice cream they get from a nearby farm.Five minutes down the road is a nice little waterfall you can take the kids for the afternoon with easy access parking off the side of the road. We had a great time long story short and would definitely come back again.

Can’t believe more people haven’t stayed here!! So quaint and reserved. Nicest host and such an expansive property with tons of trails, two docks, and hammocks to pass the time. Only two big caveats are the lack of an outhouse and no signal. Otherwise, perfect! Secluded and just the getaway I needed.
