Hayland Farms is a picturesque 120-acre hay meadow in North Central Kansas, featuring pristine native grasslands and scattered groves of trees, along with a lush 40-acre alfalfa patch. This charming property is home to Tom and Heddy Mahoney and is conveniently located just a few minutes south of I-70.
For those seeking a tranquil escape, the camping area is nestled within a secluded grove of cedar and cottonwood trees, offering a serene retreat. The campground is equipped with a firepit, picnic tables, and a combination shower house and toilet facilities, ensuring a comfortable stay. (Note: Shower service's at camp ground are closed seasonally during winter and months where freezing temperature are possible. Alternative shower facilities are located in the aircraft hangar apartment.)
Hayland Farms is also a private aviation airport and is identified on aeronautical sectional charts as 87KS. You won't believe you are still in Kansas! C2T Ranch is a working regenerative cattle ranch, with over 4 miles of Saline River running through it. Amazing 150' tall limestone cliffs rise above river and several spring fed creeks feed into the river. There is hiking galore in the canyons or on the cliffs, fishing in the rivers, or bird watching on the native prairie above the cliffs. Fossil hunters can find a variety of fossilized shells, as well as native septarian and calcite for the rockhounds.

We work hard to care for the animals that live here and provide an interesting experience for our visitors. Our stable provides beautiful views of the Kansas landscape, prairie and rock bluffs surround the farm. The stable is situated on a dead end road with little traffic, close to town so you can still enjoy great eating places in Hays. We are just a few short miles to Fort Hays State University, we are both alumni of FHSU- Go Tigers! We have 6 horse pens for overnight travels- Coggins are required before unloading. We loved our recent stay at C2T Ranch! Chad and Cynthia are fantastic hosts and their warm and friendly hospitality is outstanding! The ranch itself is in a beautiful location and the spacious camping spots are right along the river with great views, big fire rings, picnic tables, and close proximity to a clean porta potty! They even offer delicious bbq meals to purchase- we had the brats and potatoes and it was excellent! Highly recommend this Hipcamp and we absolutely will return!

Just wrapped up our 4th visit and it was the best yet! Wanda’s place is absolutely gorgeous and the hosts make it so convenient to visit. Highly recommend you get the unlimited firewood and take the property tour. The views and history of the property are fantastic. A true hidden gem in Western KS. See you next year Chad

We needed a safe night in Kansas during a cross country road trip with a dog. Tom’s site was perfect! Never thought Kansas would be so pretty.
Tom met us and guided us to the camp spots where we could park our camper. He had already made a fire for us and we cooked dinner over the fire watching the moonrise. Our dog loved running free in the field and gathering sticks while we sat by the fire. It was quiet (except for turkeys in the field), safe for the dog and everything we needed for a great sleep.

We were only here one night, and arrived late. Chad was very friendly, met us and escorted us to our spot. The spot was awesome. Quiet, clean, dark. We spent a few minutes the next morning walking around a bit, and this is a beautiful spot. We will most definitely be back and hopefully get to spend more time.

This place is phenomenal for all ages!! The horses, donkey and pup were so sweet and we absolutely loved them greeting us. We saw a cow run right past us on the land, which is beyond beautiful and so joyful to walk around. Our dogs had such a blast running. Responses were on point and Chris and Cynthia are just as wonderful. We will be back for sure. Thank you for sharing your haven with us!

Easy to find. Nice location with things to see in the area. I had a bit of a problem getting the lock off the electric box. No cell service but good internet. Was able to message Christina and when messages didn’t work to solve the problem she came right over. Would stay with them again.

Great place to stay and be away from it all. We had site #10 Wanda's place for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Water and Electric at the site and tons of room. The Campsites are extremely far apart and we could not see anyone at all from our site. Friendly owner/host Chad & Cynthia. Lots of walking trails, wildlife, great views. We will be back. FYI: T Mobile is almost non existant but with our starlink we had full internet and wifil calling worked great.

Highly recommend! We are staying for a night in a middle of a long trip, host was welcoming and guide us to our site even all dark outside. Our site is quiet and private, I feel really safe staying here. Host provided good firewood for free.
We spent the morning under the tree and letting our pup run free even in the water. He had a really good time after long road trip.

Wonderful spot to stay at! We were there just for a quick overnight but were greeted by the friendliest barn cats you could ever ask for! We’re pet people so to have this trio of cuties come up and hang with us was a pleasant treat. The host was fantastic with instructions and made sure we were all set. Beautiful landscape, and while we didn’t see horses, we got in late and left early so that’s on us! We would stay again, 10/10.

It's in the middle of nowhere, but absolutely gorgeous. Be sure to head into Lucas to see the Garden of Eden.
