Overview

About

Prepare for a full complement of recreational activities just 7 miles from Macomb. This heavily wooded area provides ample hiking on 5 miles of rugged foot trails. Cast your line for trophy fish at this lake revered by anglers for its abundance.

Launch your boat or rent one from the park. This 93-acre lake contains plenty of bluegill, redear, catfish, bass, crappie, tiger muskie, and rainbow trout. Pick a scenic fishing spot complete with a tree-lined shore.

Hike along moderate to difficult trails through hilly countryside. Thick trees create a canopy of colors in summer and fall. Look for beaver dams near Shore Trail. Carry your binoculars to see some of the 200 bird species who live here.

Come to the park once every summer to see the Argyle Antique Gas Engine Association Show. Enthusiasts show off antique tractors like you've never seen.

Reserve some of the 110 campsites with electrical hook-ups. Eighteen spots have vehicle access and 31 are rustic walk-in sites.
