Lovely family, a truly staggering number of chickens and all the horses are extremely, extremely polite and friendly. Loved that when we parked, there was a lovely horse immediately in view of our front window and the zoom class I had was made that much better with the singing of roosters! The farm-fresh eggs are well worth it, you get a mixed set of all colors: don't miss! Worth noting that the site can be muddy if it's rainy - it's right next to the barn and is typical of a barnyard - but we didn't find that to be a problem. It's nice and level and we had no difficulty getting in or out.

CHICKENS! SO MANY CHICKENS!!! They were awesome, and the horses were great. Nice folks, and the site is nothing fancy to look at, but a great place to stay. Allowed for our doggos to play off leash and got to pet their nice GSDs.

They had the haunted hayride, and although I didn’t get to go (due to having my 2 dogs while camping), it sounded like it was so much fun from those who did get to go! I left early from my trip due to rain, but love this place and have been many times. Will continue to camp @ PeaceTree. It is so serene and just beautiful!

We enjoyed our stay in Cabin #2 @ Peacetree Farm. Katie was a wonderful host. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean and our room had nice cool A/C with a serene view into the woods. They were welcoming of our dog and had a goofy kitten that came to play with her frequently. Stargazing was amazing; being in such a remote location and far from any major city lights. We saw several shooting stars and could clearly see the Milky Way. We walked the 1-mile loop around the gorgeous 7 acre lake and saw some breathtaking views along the way. We relaxed by the water and did some fishing - we didn't catch any but we saw another group pulling out a few good sized fish. There weren't a lot of other campers there and everyone was spread out over the property so it felt like we mostly had the place to ourselves. We had our own fire pit (wood provided) with chairs provided and also had access to our own charcoal grill. We had access to a canoe and kayaks and had planned to paddle around the lake with our dog but ran out of time. We hope to go back again in the future. This was a wonderful getaway for us to relax in nature. I highly recommend this place if you're looking looking for a very peaceful getaway in a gorgeous remote location.

This stay was incredible! Tamitha and her husband were amazing and accommodating hosts. Their property was beautiful and the animals clearly well loved. Tamitha went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed and that my daughter had a wonderful experience (she was a big fan of the donkeys, especially Ernie). They also had a wonderful lake about a quarter mile away from them that was perfect for swimming my dogs. We will be back and wish we had more that a quick nights stop!

A literal 30 acre pocket of paradise tucked away just minutes North of Columbia, MO. Here you’ll find a private lake with fishing access, rolling hills with stunning sunrises and sunsets, plenty of space to reset with nature, perfect for a glamping getaway. We have 3 separate sites on the property. Our 24’ yurt that sleeps up to 6 with indoor toilet (no shower) propane fireplace for chilly fall and winter stays and AC for the Missouri heat; a cozy RV that sleeps 4 (queen bed and bunks in the back) offers all the amenities of home with a kitchen and bathroom (with hot water and shower); and last we have a level gravel site with 30amp electric and water hook ups (no dump capability) with picnic table, fire pit and grill available for those that want to bring their own RV. We are Pet friendly (with additional cost for the yurt) as we have our own over friendly farm dog. Working horse facility, we host harvest host, and horse motel over night horse boarding also. We have facilities to plug in to water and electric, we have 30amp, and 110 amp, and allow dry camping. We have 7 - 12x14 box stalls with fans and bucket hooks, we have a 40x40 outdoor wooden paddock, we have a 120x100 outdoor arena, we offer free wifi to our guests. Reservations are required, we get busy spring through fall. Trish & Cameron are land stewards and caretakers as well as managing the camping. We are Leftie Hippie Punk Burners. We are artists, postal carriers and permaculture farmers and natural builders. We believe in BLM, and are LGBTQIA ourselves as well as allies and support all people and critters and nature and are intolerant of hate and mysogeny. We love providing a safe beautiful place in the woods for anyone who needs it. The woods are beautiful, there's a few spots cleared for camping and there are trails to hike, a composting toilet, and not too far from the highway, but far enough you can't hear it. We have a fire pit, hammock and picnick tables for you to use if you like. We love meeting people and we also respect mutual privacy. We live off grid but have some power enough to charge your phone should you need it. We have WiFi but please bring your own drinking water. We have a small Berkey for drinking water here but its best you bring your own. We are in process of installing some outdoor showers and more tiny houses. We are a place in progress and we live here (so there may be projects in progress) and so does the wildlife and that includes ticks. We have a dog, cat, chickens, and abundant wildlife and please consider this PRIMITIVE CAMPING. We look forward to meeting you and thanks for visiting!

Salty Cedar is located next to Mark Twain Lake. There are many thing to do around and on M. T. Lake (boating, fishing, beach, water park, hick, marina and much more). We are just off highway J for easy access campground and only a couple minutes from all main Lake attractions. With out 4 camp sites on property it will be a quite and welcoming.
