A literal 30 acre pocket of paradise tucked away just minutes North of Columbia, MO. Here you’ll find a private lake with fishing access, rolling hills with stunning sunrises and sunsets, plenty of space to reset with nature, perfect for a glamping getaway. We have 3 separate sites on the property. Our 24’ yurt that sleeps up to 6 with indoor toilet (no shower) propane fireplace for chilly fall and winter stays and AC for the Missouri heat; a cozy RV that sleeps 4 (queen bed and bunks in the back) offers all the amenities of home with a kitchen and bathroom (with hot water and shower); and last we have a level gravel site with 30amp electric and water hook ups (no dump capability) with picnic table, fire pit and grill available for those that want to bring their own RV. We are Pet friendly (with additional cost for the yurt) as we have our own over friendly farm dog. Come play yard games, swing, fish, bring your kayak or paddle board, kids can play or swim on our sandy beach, or just walk our 1 mile perimeter trail, a perfect place to rest, rejuvenate and recharge. Farm fresh eggs are available as well as any extra firewood. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our little pocket of paradise.

Working horse facility, we host harvest host, and horse motel over night horse boarding also. We have facilities to plug in to water and electric, we have 30amp, and 110 amp, and allow dry camping. We have 7 - 12x14 box stalls with fans and bucket hooks, we have a 40x40 outdoor wooden paddock, we have a 120x100 outdoor arena, we offer free wifi to our guests. Reservations are required, we get busy spring through fall. We offer riding, trail riding, tours and hands on with horses, we have trails right off the property, there are state parks to hike in and ride in as well. There's a lake with a dock to swim in. We sell farm fresh eggs, we have t-shirts for sale, you can also order black and white photos on canvas. They're displayed in the office. We run a program for Service and Assistance dogs called Paws for Hearts COMO, we breed German Shepherds, raise and train for disabled vets, and children with disabilities, all completely donated from the dogs to the training. There are cats, dogs, chickens and horses here. Friendly people, we are laid back, warm and welcoming. We will do everything in our power to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

You can park in the driveway, then hike around and set up a secluded tent campsite anywhere on our 50 acres of wooded land. The site listing numbers you see on this map are simply for general reference, you can camp anywhere you please. Also, the only vehicle access is the driveway and large open field you see on the map here. Folks with roof top tents or campers or RV's can set up camp anywhere in this field, along the edge of the woods. The remaining acreage is heavily wooded and hilly with creeks running through. At this time, vehicles cannot penetrate the woods. Pinnacle Park is a simple walk down the road/hill from our land. You can have fun hiking, splashing in the creek, playing in the sand and rock climbing at the Pinnacle's. Pinnacle Park also has nice shelters for picnics with fireplaces and restrooms. We offer a water hydrant on our land, but no electric or bathrooms.

Owned since the early 1970s, we just love this property for its quiet serene atmosphere and thought we'd share its beauty with others. It's hard to find a secluded place to relax in anymore and escape the crowds. So come and enjoy!

You can park in the driveway, then hike around and set up a secluded tent campsite anywhere on our 50 acres of wooded land. The site listing numbers you see on this map are simply for general reference, you can camp anywhere you please. Also, the only vehicle access is the driveway and large open field you see on the map here. Folks with roof top tents or campers or RV's can set up camp anywhere in this field, along the edge of the woods. The remaining acreage is heavily wooded and hilly with creeks running through. At this time, vehicles cannot penetrate the woods. Pinnacle Park is a simple walk down the road/hill from our land. You can have fun hiking, splashing in the creek, playing in the sand and rock climbing at the Pinnacle's. Pinnacle Park also has nice shelters for picnics with fireplaces and restrooms. We offer a water hydrant on our land, but no electric or bathrooms.

My family of four stayed the night passing through. Wish we could have stayed longer. Very charming ranch and we got to hang out and meet the horses, donkeys, chase some chickens. Even gave some treats out😁. Hosts were super friendly and shared their love and knowledge of animals. Would stay here again for sure. Remember it's the second right after the church. 😂

Peacetree Farms was full of spectacular views. We took the canoe around the lake for a few hours, walked the maintained trails on property, and enjoyed listening to the song birds all weekend.
Katie was wonderful, helped me get to the site after a late arrival, provided firewood, picnic benches and flat land to set up on.
Fantastic trip will be back again to see how everything flushes out in summer!

Many of the reviews detail the available activities, all of which are worth taking advantage of, but what I find most compelling is when a host makes sure basic needs are met. Many of the tent sites you find on Hipcamp are open fields, peppered with picnic tables and fire rings, but PeaceTree's sites are carefully chosen and tailored to a camper's needs.
The property is very hilly as one would expect being nestled between the Northern Prairies and the Ozark Foothills, but each site is level, well protected with trees, and a short walk from the nearest porta-potty. A chilly night with an intense hail storm meant a warm campfire was a necessity. While there was plenty of dead wood lying on the ground, a full load of cut firewood was delivered to us shortly after we arrived.
Most of the places you find on Hipcamp provide a place to rest and have a few unique quirks, but there are very few rare exceptions like PeaceTree Farms that is such a magical place that hosts like Katie and her family can't help but share it with a community that has a voracious appetite for breathtaking views, thrilling activities, and one-of-a-kind nature experiences. We were just passing through Northeast Missouri on the last night of a roadtrip, looking for nothing more than a level pad and a fire ring, and were fortunate to have stumbled upon PeaceTree Farms. We arrived with few expectations and left our only regret being that we could not spend at least a week to take in the full experience.

Lovely family, a truly staggering number of chickens and all the horses are extremely, extremely polite and friendly. Loved that when we parked, there was a lovely horse immediately in view of our front window and the zoom class I had was made that much better with the singing of roosters! The farm-fresh eggs are well worth it, you get a mixed set of all colors: don't miss!
Worth noting that the site can be muddy if it's rainy - it's right next to the barn and is typical of a barnyard - but we didn't find that to be a problem. It's nice and level and we had no difficulty getting in or out.

As always, Katie and her husband are amazing hosts! They had the haunted hayride, and although I didn’t get to go (due to having my 2 dogs while camping), it sounded like it was so much fun from those who did get to go! I left early from my trip due to rain, but love this place and have been many times. Will continue to camp @ PeaceTree. It is so serene and just beautiful!
