Welcome to The Quiet Acre Sometimes the best getaway is the simplest one. Welcome to The Quiet Acre, a small family-owned campground nestled on 4.5 peaceful acres just outside Columbia, Missouri. Our goal is simple: to create a place where you can slow down, unplug, and enjoy nature at its own pace. Our property is surrounded by mature woods, creating a peaceful backdrop for your stay. Spend your day relaxing at your campsite, taking a stroll along our short walking paths, watching for deer that often visit the back of the property, or simply enjoying a good book beneath the trees. As evening settles in, gather around the campfire and listen as the frogs around our little pond begin their nightly chorus. It's one of our favorite parts of living here, and the inspiration behind our first campsite—Frog Hollow. You'll also meet our friendly chickens, enjoy wide-open skies, and experience a slower pace that's becoming harder to find. Whether you're pitching a tent for the weekend, traveling with a small camper, or simply looking for a quiet place to recharge, we hope you'll feel welcome here. What You'll Find 🌳 4.5 private acres with a peaceful, wooded setting ⛺ Spacious campsites for tents and small travel trailers 🚶 Short walking paths around the property 🐸 A pond that's home to a lively evening frog chorus 🦌 Frequent deer and wildlife sightings 🔥 Campfire-friendly evenings 🐔 Friendly backyard chickens ✨ Dark skies, fresh air, and room to slow down Our Campsites Each campsite at The Quiet Acre is inspired by the natural features of the property. Our first campsite, Frog Hollow, celebrates the pond and its unforgettable evening soundtrack. As The Quiet Acre grows, we'll continue creating unique campsites that reflect the character and beauty of this little corner of Missouri. We aren't trying to be the biggest campground. We're simply creating the kind of place we'd want to visit ourselves—a quiet place where nature is the entertainment, campfires are encouraged, and the loudest neighbors are usually the frogs. We look forward to welcoming you to The Quiet Acre.Welcome to Frog Hollow at The Quiet Acre, our little slice of peaceful Missouri woods just outside Columbia. If you're looking for a place to unplug, slow down, and enjoy nature, you've found it. Our property is tucked beneath mature trees with winding walking paths, a small pond that's home to a lively chorus of frogs, and plenty of wildlife. It's common to spot deer in the evenings, hear birds throughout the day, and end the night around a campfire under the stars. We're a small, family-run campground that's just getting started, and we're excited to share our property as it grows. Right now we offer quiet camping for tents and small travel trailers, with plans to add a glamping bell tent and more relaxing amenities in the future. We believe some of the best camping experiences are the simple ones—good company, a crackling fire, fresh air, and a chance to disconnect from busy life. You'll also meet our curious chickens, explore easy wooded trails, and have plenty of space to relax without the crowds of a traditional campground. Whether you're visiting Columbia for the weekend, passing through mid-Missouri, or need a peaceful place to recharge, we'd love to host you. What to expect 🌳 Quiet, wooded spaces 🐸 A small pond filled with singing frogs 🦌 Frequent deer and wildlife sightings 🚶 Walking paths through the trees 🔥 Campfire-friendly evenings 🐔 Friendly backyard chickens 🌌 Dark skies and peaceful nights ❤️ A campground that's growing one thoughtful improvement at a time We know Frog Hollow isn't a luxury resort—and that's exactly the point. It's a place to breathe a little deeper, listen a little longer, and remember how relaxing nature can be. We hope you'll come and experience the quiet with us.
