Very nice, clean park. The site was level and it was quiet. We did have a stray cat that wanted to stay. The pool was beautiful and very clean and the staff was very friendly.

Site 5 had a slab. Camper was level. Hamilton Park was nice and quiet. Centrally located for stores and restaurants.

Wildcat Springs was a nice shady campground. The site was level with a decent picnic table. The evenings were quiet even on a weekend

Nice little park - swimming pool right across the street, nice sand volleyball court as well as a small playground for the little ones. Abundance of trees make for great shade.
Very nice area, spacious camping spots, and the playground right in front of us was a great way to keep our child busy and on sight. Although this spot #5 description said it was fully shaded, reality is that it wasn’t between 8a-3p. I would recommend to update descriptions of the spots and maybe including some actual pictures of every spot. Another surprise was that the only 24/7 available toilet and shower at the pool, it’s a family room, and was just one, so if it was taken, you had to wait for it to be available. Also, that family room was like a steam room, as there was no ventilation to keep the air flowing.
We stayed in site 3, almost the entire day the trailer was in the shade. With a nice breeze, we were able to stay comfortable, although the temperature was well into the 90's. Water, pressure is outstanding and 50 amp hookups, no sewer, but the dump station is well maintained. The power is a little on the low side, but never was below 112 volts. We definitely plan on staying here again.
There was a lot of shade and plenty of space for spreading out. And plenty of walking trails.
This campground is wonderful.

-had a playground visable from all sites
-spacious
-had ample space for even the very large RVs
The amenities
-the playgrounds were well maintained
-the family bath/shower room was tidy and had warm water
-we camped during the pools off season, but it looked like a very nice pool set up, with a diving end and a beach like side as well.
-the creek down the hill from the site was a hit for our kiddos
-the disc golf trails looked diverse and fun
-the campground was close to places to hunt for Geos
Would definitely recommend this place again, and hope to be back soon!
Side note: we thought it was very thoughtful that when the matinance staff did the lawns they gathered twigs and branches and would leave them in neat piles at the campsites for campers to use for their fires.

We loved it there. The Mayor runs the park and was great. He even had an extension cord brought to us, and then came back by before dark to make sure all was well. We were the only people there. Green and well maintained!
Site 6 was well shaded. The single bathroom/shower was a short walk from our campsite. The door is propped open so no code is needed. Friday night the campground was fairly deserted. It got more lively the next night! The mosquitoes were fairly aggressive until the breeze came up on Saturday. Unfortunately, the pool closed last weekend. I was glad we found that out when we called before we arrived. (We booked our site, #6 but the confirmation recorded it as #1 so we called to check on that and were told that it is a glitch but not to worry.). We appreciated the free firewood since the site is a bit more than we usually spend. There were street lights and cameras nearby. Disc golfers came through every so often. There was fairly regular foot and car traffic below our site. We explored Keokuk and Hamilton. Be sure to check out the view from Rand Park!

The campsite itself was nice. There were some interesting people at the campsite! The bathrooms were not great! They smelled of cigarette smoke VERY strongly!! And there was no water pressure and it stayed luke warm.... The pool was cool but had limiting hours, so we didn't get to swim. It closed at like 6 pm or something.

City Park Playground Shelter
This was nice enough, because we were able to use the pool shower and bathroom. Very quiet and beautiful campground. Lots of cars coming and going but not bad enough to not enjoy this spot.👍🏻

Wildcat City Park Campground is clean and well maintained. Did not have any issues. Other campers were courteous, no loud music/noise even with it being a holiday weekend.
Some tree branches near drive need to be trimmed. Understand why the shorter hose on the dump station, but it could be a bit longer.

We enjoyed our trip. Loved the walking trails, the park for the kids. Was disappointed that the pool was not accessible except 1 to 6 as we weren't able to utilize it at all. We booked site 3 but on our confirmation it said site 1, which was fine but thee were no other campers there so we were confused to why that occurred. Over a very nice area and we would visit again
