Could not recommend this place enough, it was such a peaceful space with beautiful views. We left feeling refreshed with full hearts. The host was more than welcoming, gave wonderful suggestions for local places to consider. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed.

Breathtaking views! The best bathroom and the kindest host. Something to note is that the site is right by the house if you don’t mind. Overall one of the most beautiful remote site! (Don’t drive down to the lower part of the property like me, volcanic rocks are no joke on an incline)

Beautiful peaceful spot. Loved the yummy treats from the fruit stand before settling in for the evening. The porta potty provided was the cleanest we’d used in our whole 10 day trip! Had a visit from the sheep in the morning before heading out. Thanks for the stay :)

Nice private camp area behind locked gate. Careful there is a lot of broken glass as you drive past the gate towards the campsite, I cleaned up a lot but the more I cleaned up the more I found. The code to the gate was wrong on the directions - luckily there was a worker at the fruit stand that gave me the right one. Tried to get a hold of the host regarding wifi but took over a day - called twice, WhatsApp, text - she finally responded to a text. Nice place to unwind and not have anyone bother you.

The yurt is set on a beautiful farm and has all the amenities you'd need. I'd recommend bringing ear plugs if you are a light sleeper-as the sounds of the lush and dense tropical forest night life (maybe frogs) continue all night! My family and I were comfortable here for our 2 night stay and were able to dine in for all meals with the provided kitchen and fridge

Bumpy road up for us in a sprinter van but slow and steady made it happen no problem. Colin was available and super helpful navigating us up and even telling us the best way to park our large van. Susan stopped by to quickly tell us about the critters and plants nearby which was fun to learn about. The toilets were not available as they hadn't been serviced so ask ahead if that’s a need for your stay. Overall a peaceful stay. Thanks Colin and Susan!

Magical yurt with so many amazing points to mention. Spacious and well equipped kitchen, great location. The spa bathroom feels so luxury - though be sure to bring your own hairdryer - I got caught out with that! Every other thing you would expect from a hotel or vacation rental was included though - even flippers!

We camped in our campervan and it was easy parking, quiet and level. Make sure you communicate with the camp before getting there as we didn’t have cell service once there and the starlink did not show up on our phones. Also make sure you screen shot the route or download your map app.

Lovely and peaceful spot! Unfortunately we couldn’t make it before dark so had a hard time navigating to the place and within the grounds. But once we got settled we were amazed by the Milky Way view - best stars I’ve seen in a long time! The sheep gave us a very friendly greeting & we thoroughly enjoyed the fruit stand offerings. Def recommend it for a basic and peaceful camping experience!

We loved this location. So close to lots of the activities we had planned around Kona. Also not far from restaurants and a laundromat. The room was close to the parking area. We had a little decking where we could dry our swimwear. The room was nice and spacious so we could spread out our suitcases. Didn’t explore the farm much because it was raining but loved patting the cat that liked to sleep on the decking. The room also felt very private and the farm is behind a locked gate. Definitely recommend

With great stargazing opportunities, the camping area where is located on the top two acres of the property at 2000ft elevation above sea level. This area is an open grassy (mowed) area surrounded with avocado, kukui nut and silver oak trees. This area boasts some of the best ocean, coastline, and sunset views in Kona! The bottom 3 acres are where my family and I reside. Conveniently located just 10 minutes from Kona International Airport, 15 minutes to the beach, 5 minutes to the nearest golf course, gas station, and grocery store, Silver Oak Sunsets campsite is secluded yet close to everything Kona. Our seasonal changes are mild compared to the continental US. Summer months (May-September) are warmer and with more rain and the winters (Nov-April) are cooler and drier with temperatures dipping to the low 50's. You and your family will have this campsite all to yourselves as Silver Oak Sunsets has just one campsite. Our family plot is located on the top acre in an area known fondly as Grandma's Garden. Long after, it was sculpted and a number of families and farmers have contributed to what we have today. An abundance of fruit and vegetables within sight of the ocean. Peaceful breezes and warming sun make for unparalleled tranquility. Today the land still gives back to its visitors. Come recharge. As this is agricultural lands, there are many critters. Dogs, chickens, pheasants, peacock, mongoose, and many birds. Tge invasive coqui frog is annoying to some and calming to others. The micro climate here swings from warm and dry to wet quickly. Best to always prepare for rain. There is snorkeling, beaches, local food, Cafe, BBQ, poke, fish-n-chips, grocery, Sunday farmers market and hiking nearby. It is peaceful here, but also an active farming community. As an organic farm, we put alot of effort into soil building and as such, there are soft places that will be damaged by the weight of a vehicle. Staying on the driveway is best. We will guide you to where you need to go. Our road is paved, but bumpy. You don’t need a 4WD to get to our place, but you will need a SUV or truck. Go slow the road is bumpy and rough in places. We are 1.2 miles from the highway. Off the grid. Rustic, but fun. If you are a Eco tourist or seeking adventure, you will love our spot! The silence is golden and the stars are amazing. Don't expect a hotel...this is upcountry glamorous camping. Shared bathroom (see photos) about a 100 feet away. Hipcamp kitchenette includes a propane single burner, ice chest, No fridge. No oven. We have an outdoor fire pit, if you like campfires! It's one-of-a-kind! Most of the parcels are 20 acre parcels around… But a few smaller parcels across the road. We have nice neighbors who keep an eye on things. The nearest grocery store is about 3 miles away. The Hele-On Bus is just 1.2 miles up the road. If you want to drive to the green sand beach at the end of our road, rent a 4 wheel drive. If you are athletic, you can walk, but it is 4 miles down and 4 miles back. I recommend going early in the morning and take water. Hot water shower is propane. Bring ice for your ice chest. Bring drinking water. There is plenty of coffee and tea in the kitchenette. Boil hot water in the kettle, put cone filter with a paper filter and ground coffee inside and on top of thermos. Drip. It's delicious! This is off the grid solar and there can be days without sun, or other glitches. No wifi. I use ATandT and I understand that Verizon and Tmobile work also The panoramic ocean view is spectacular! Very peaceful and relaxing! The back 15 acres is an old Ohia forest with 500 year old trees and lots of birds. You might even see a wild goat or a wild pig. There are small caves and gorgeous rock formations. It backs up to Manuka Forest Reserve. We have beautiful furnished cabins with beds, so you don't have to pitch a tent. Pillows, blankets, fresh towels provided.
