Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.
Custom Offgrid Ohia Ohana in Opihihale, Big Island Hawaii, on 5 acres surrounded by ohia forest. This cottage is custom built with beautiful ohia and koa wood, located at 1800 feet elevation for gorgeous warm days and brisk nights and mornings, overlooking lush green forest, enclosed fields with herds of adorable sheep, and sunsets on the ocean. Something out of a fairytale. It is equipped with a water catchment tank and propane fueled Paloma hot water shower, pump powered by a solar powered generator and compost toilet. Perfect for an off-grid experience. No wifi included. Must have 4WD or AWD vehicle to access property. The driveway is 3/4 of a mile up Mauka from the highway and is partially paved and partially intermediate level off road. No 2WD vehicles allowed on driveway. No pets No smoking No drugs No alcohol *previous renters ruined leniency on these mattersCustom wood worked native ohia structure with a spacious bathroom addition.
