the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest.
there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore.
also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

put a smile on your face. Pack your camping gear, tents, vans or RVs and find peace away from the traffic and everyday stress. There is plenty of nature and you can take a long stroll to clear your head.
Mount Dora is across the main street less than 5 minutes away. Our antique town is an amazing experience to explore with lots of history and complete with quaint shops and restaurants, boating and lots of things to do. Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm.
We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee.
Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on.
In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us.
Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property.
Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be.

Here in Auburndale, Florida, we are a lakefront property with two palm trees greeting you at our front driveway. We have lake dock access to Lake Ariana with 300 ft of shoreline, a lakefront BBQ area, and a boat launching area for kayaks and inflatables right here at our docks.
We have a large mango tree (mangoes are seasonal) and over 150 mango trees that range from starts to three-year-old trees scattered around the property. Additionally, we have an outdoor pool. Pool hours 8am to 6pm or ask for special times.
You can enjoy boating, kayaking, sailboats, and BBQs right at our lakeside dock. Not into lakes? You can swim in our outdoor pool with a waterfall and decorative koi pond close by. The views of the lake are stunning.
If you want to explore nearby attractions, we are close to Florida theme parks such as Disney, LegoLand, and Bush Gardens, and it's only a 40-minute drive to Gulf Coast beaches (we supply all beach gear; just ask). We welcome you to stay at Mango Tango Estate RV Camping, close to Camp Margaritaville, Berkley Sports Fields, Bonita Springs Park, Dyno World, and beaches.

Hippie Haux – A Quiet Forest Spot Near the Coast
Hippie Haux sits on about five acres of mixed oak forest with a few soft, rolling clearings. It’s tucked right near town but feels quiet and tucked away, and you’re only about 45 minutes from the beach. The land has a relaxed, rustic feel—simple, natural, and easy to settle into.
The camping area isn’t divided into marked sites. Instead, there’s an open clearing where you can choose your own spot. There’s room for roughly 6–8 setups, so it works well for tents, car camping, vans, hammocks, and pop-ups. I also have a small trailer available to rent if you’d like something more comfortable, and there’s a raised platform you can set up on as well.
You’ll find the basic comforts here: a fire pit, picnic tables, drinking water, electricity, a compost toilet, and an outdoor shower with hot water. There’s a simple communal kitchen too, plus easy parking. Fires are allowed as long as someone stays with them. Pets and kids are welcome.
The land gets regular visits from deer, owls, hawks, armadillos, squirrels, and the occasional curious bunny. At night, the sky opens up enough for great stargazing. There’s a small herbal garden on site, and a yoga deck tucked under the trees for morning stretches or a quiet sit in nature. I usually have fresh farm eggs available as well.
If you’re looking for something low-key, close to nature, and not overly manicured, this spot tends to be a good fit. It works for solo campers wanting some peace, families who want room for kids to explore, and anyone passing through on their way to the coast or springs. The energy of the land is gentle and grounding—simple, earthy, and easy to relax into.

The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

My son and I had an absolutely wonderful stay boondocking at Wilderness Shores Ranch & Campground! We were in town to visit LEGOLAND, and this peaceful property was the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of an amusement park. In fact, I think I enjoyed the campground even more than the park!
We received a warm welcome from our host and her children at check-in, which took place at their little farm store offering fresh eggs, meats, and other goodies. The property itself is gorgeous, a sprawling slice of rural Florida with magnificent old oak trees draped in Spanish moss. It reminded me so much of the Florida I grew up in, and it was wonderful to share that experience with my son.
There were dozens of beautiful places to park along the water, many with plenty of shade, picnic tables, and fire pits. We loved seeing the longhorn cattle, goats, and chickens roaming the farm. We even learned that a calf had been born just the day before! There were several young calves on the property, which made the experience even more special. There was also a large covered gathering area with additional picnic tables, perfect for escaping the rain or sun. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained.
Perhaps most importantly, **I felt completely safe here.** As a woman traveling alone with my child, that is something I really value. The property is accessible through gated entrances, and the peaceful, private setting gave me a level of comfort I don't think I would have found at some of the other campgrounds in the area.
This place is truly a gem. It's increasingly difficult to find places that capture the natural beauty, tranquility, and agricultural heritage of old Florida, and Wilderness Shores does exactly that.
We'll absolutely be back, but next time, I suspect we'll skip LEGOLAND altogether and make the campground itself the destination!

We absolutely loved our stay here. We got lucky enough that almost nobody was here so it was so quiet and private for us. Although if you came and it was busy, there would be little privacy unless you chose the boondocking spots (which are amazing but you have to have a car that can drive on the rugged roads- ours could not make it). The bathrooms were kept clean and smelled nice. We saw plenty of wildlife. The staff (Lorraine) was amazing, kind and super helpful. She even took us on a tour of the property which was so fun and informative. She checked on us several times even after the rain to make sure we were all good and had dry clothes and bed sheets. The animals were TO DIE FOR. they were all so friendly and cute. We will be back.

We had a wonderful holiday weekend . It was quiet and the area around it was great. We found two places to hike. A great dog park. Of course Mt Dora is always a great place to walk and shop. We lov going to Rennigers Antique mall . All super close . Thanks for accommodations Mark.

James and Bolton have a beautiful piece of paradise . Relaxing, quiet. Overlooks an orange orchard. The property is fenced in, so our dogs were able to run off lots of energy exploring the property.
We were visiting family in the area. So did not get to experience the swimming pool, hot tub, or the social gathering.
We will be back!!!!!
