The property is definitely different then most. The site itself is super spacious, and has great tree coverage from some ancient oaks. the site can hold up to an extra 5 tents if neened. There is solar power to the tee pee with a 750w solar inverter connected to two deep cycle batteries. Now to get to the site you have to go through the main busy part of the property (we literally have planes, trains and automobiles and more). But once you get to the site you feel the nature. Also right next to the property about 100 yd from where the property starts there is an entrance to a boat ramp (which has a 2 mi canal that goes to lake Apopka where you can launch a canoe or kayak, or do some fishing), also a 2.6 mi nature trail, and about 100 yd as well there is a 25 mile trail that you can bike, walk or horseback ride. That trail is a part of the Apopka wildlife drive which also starts not far from the property. It's a free nature drive on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays plus holidays. We are around 15 to 20 minutes from a few different springs such as wekiva springs, wekiva Island, Rock springs and Kings landing. We are about 45 minutes from SeaWorld, aquatica, volcano Bay, universal studios and more.

Our farm is off the beaten path surrounded by mossy oaks and lots of shade. If you are having a rough week, load up and relax on our working farm filled with miniature horses and numerous other adorable miniature animals that will be sure to put a smile on your face. Pack your camping gear, tents, vans or RVs and find peace away from the traffic and everyday stress. There is plenty of nature and you can take a long stroll to clear your head. Mount Dora is across the main street less than 5 minutes away. Our antique town is an amazing experience to explore with lots of history and complete with quaint shops and restaurants, boating and lots of things to do. Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm. We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. We would stay again. No frills but reasonably quite ( a couple trains and a dog in the distance) nice grass a couple of shady spots but most are full sun. Our “site” (there is nothing to delineate a spot it’s just a big backyard) backed up to a cow pasture which made for a decent view and a distinct but not overpowering cow smell.

Very caring team and you can see they are making changes to revitalize this property. Sad to miss some of the nice events they are planning for the month. Bathrooms were beautiful. Hanging moss on the trees was relaxing and thank you to Dustin and team for helping us during check in. Great site and location. Will be back!

Hosts greeted us upon arrival and were nice and accommodating. They were never intrusive but gave great communication. Just a pleasant peaceful stay for a last minute booking to catch the Artemis 2 launch. Would definitely recommend!

It has very good energy, and it's an actual campground in the woods, rather than just someone's backyard. These are new facilities with ongoing new development, and it has an outdoor shower (rainfall showerhead in cobblestones) that is no less than amazing, and the bathroom is very nice and always clean as well. The campsite are fairly private and generally quiet. They have decent cell service for Verizon, I get three bars all the way on the back side of the camp. I truly believe this is the best Hipcamp in all of Florida, and you need to visit this one! The camp hosts are amazing, extremely accommodating, and kind. I flew my sons into Orlando so we could all watch the Artemis II launch together. My oldest son is a musician, but was unable to bring his guitar and tiny amp onto the flight, so he had to leave it at home. We were setting up camp when Sam, one of the Camp Hosts, drove by. We began chatting, and my son mentioned that he was This was amazingly cool! Weeks after my sons flew home, my son is still amazed that Sam would've done that for him, and will not stop talking about it. I highly, highly recommend this Hipcamp!

What a great place to stage from to watch launches. We even woke to one early morning. Lots of room. The gate to the backyard is a tight fit but totally do able. Brandon even came out to help spot us through. Communication was fabulous and we were greeted upon arrival by the family.

I loved camping here. The site was huge. We fit our rent, screen house and shower with plenty of room to spare. Water was readily available. We went to bed to the sound of owls and woke to the sounds of a farm. It was a great experience.

Sandpaper Sam, the host is amazing! This Hipcamp feels more like a campground less than just being docking. The restroom were excellent, exceptionally clean, and the shower was amazing! I flew my sons to Florida to watch Artemis II launch, and my oldest plays guitar and could not bring his guitar on the plane. Sam pulled up in his van, and we were talking with him about everything, and he learned that my son played guitar, so he promptly pulled a guitar out from behind his seat and handed it to my son to play for the remainder of his visit in Florida! A lot of work is being done to build up this Hipcamp as one of the premiere sites in Florida. Would highly recommend!

First time using hip camp, my husband and I found this campground traveling from salt springs, and were in mount Dora. Just a few minutes out of town, and price was right, we booked. Great spot! Sam and Boomer were awesome hosts, the place is in its beginning stages, but amazing nonetheless. We stayed a site 6, encountered wildlife, peacefulness and a definite on our camping trail through Florida. Nothing fancy, PERFECT!

Great location! Close to all the things we needed- great food and amenities in the area. It was surprisingly quiet at night. For my fellow nature lovers- there were lots of lightning bugs in the evening on the property and a great park/trail system adjacent. Jesse communicated clearly when I messaged about my eta and was a wonderful host. Please note at the time of my review there is no 30amp hookup; but Jesse had no problem with us running our generator. I would definitely stay here again! For reference, my rig is a 24.5ft class C.

Weekend Trip to JB Resort

The owners were awesome, very accommodating, the trailer we rented was great and I did not not my head on any doorways as I am 6'4" tall. The other guests were very friendly, welcoming and talkative as well. No cliques like some places have. We hardly stayed in the trailer s we were having so much fun out with the other guests. Highly recommend this place for a getaway and I will be back often.
