Weekend Trip to Alder Carr Farm

The best campsite we’ve been to! A few of us took to Alex’s place as it was a great meeting spot between the Wirral and Manchester. With the weather being 30 degrees the wild swimming was an incredible additional. We had a whole field to our selves which was great for playing rounders. It felt so special having it all private. Alex was a great host and was there if we needed anything at all. Thank you and I would recommend this campsite to anyone in the future! Best of luck with everything 😊

Weekend Trip to Intake Farm

Fantastic Woodland camping spots and site. Fantasticly friendly and approachable hosts with great onsite facilities, produce to buy, fire pits to hire, composting toilets, hot showers and wash up station for campers. A working farm with lots of animals to be near and can watch feeding times. We had a lovely peaceful stay and will return again for sure.

1 night at Alder Carr Farm

Alex was a great host and we had some wonderful conversations about the farm and his plans. It was lovely to see all the livestock and to hear the sheep in their daily routines, even when you could not see them. The pitch itself was lovely, just a few yards from the river, where we saw lots of birdlife, including a kingfisher and a group of goldcrests. It was so peaceful that we didn't want to stray far. Would definately go again.

Great open clean space, lots of camping areas to choose from. Only criticism is that the shower floors don't drain so ends up collecting in the drying area

Excellent place. Freedom to camp where u want. Clean basis toilets available. Showers easy to use with 1£ coin. Fresh food also available at site and a lot of attractions nearby. Had a lovely experience

3 nights at Castle Howard Lakeside Holiday Park

Great location for some lovely walks - the cafe at Castle Howard is dog friendly with plenty of seating so a good port of call. The site was quiet and staff helpful - would stay again.

5 Stars – A Rainy day Turned Wonderful at Moss Ross Camping! We recently stayed at Moss Ross Camping and despite the unpredictable weather, we had an amazing experience! What started as a rainy day quickly turned into one of the most memorable camping trips we've had—thanks entirely to the incredible owners. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality. When the rain came down hard, they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. just checking in with a friendly smile, their kindness truly stood out. The site itself is peaceful, well-maintained, and surrounded by beautiful natural scenery—perfect for disconnecting and soaking in the outdoors. Even with the weather, the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and we loved every minute of it. Rain or shine, Moss Ross Camping is a gem. The owners clearly care deeply about their guests, and it shows in every little detail. We’ll definitely be back—and next time, we’ll hope for sunshine, but we know we’ll have a great time either way!
