Cute, coastal hipcamp site
This campsite was very cute. It was essentially just off the landowner's driveway, but it was out of sight, down a little path, and surrounded by trees, so it felt very private.
The actual flat ground area for the tent itself was actually a little small, so keep that in mind if you have a big tent. We were testing out our new 4-person tent and it was a little too big for the space, leaving very little space for "stuff." There also wasn't much space to hang out or put chairs or anything -- though there was a separate outdoor area with a table and chairs that was provided by landowner (we didn't end up having a chance to use it, though, so I can't review it).
The landowner was very nice and showed us where to park and how to get to the actual campsite. I would have preferred, however, if they just had the directions and parking spot laid out in the instructions when we booked the site, so we didn't have to coordinate and meet the landowner before getting to our campsite and getting set up.
This can help if, for example, a hipcamper is delayed in getting to the site, as we were -- I had to keep texting the landowner to say that we were running late, which was awkward.
Overall excellent place. It was very close to the coast, though we didn't have a chance to try walking from the site to the coast. But it was only a few minutes' drive.
