This magical property is conveniently located 5 miles north of Florence and directly on Hwy 101, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the ocean. This is a large private site that is surrounded by old growth timber and teaming with flora and fauna.  Campers are encouraged to explore the numerous trails systems, but be aware, this property is wild.. and encounters with wildlife are common.   For those really adventurous souls, it is possible to hike to Lilly lake, but it's very difficult and the wetlands surrounding it can be treacherous most times of the year.  The property's surrounding the camp are mostly BLM, but we do have full time neighbors just to the North, so we ask that you be respectful and cautious with regard to dogs/noise. Hwy 101 can be very dangerous for unsuspecting pets.   We offer unlimited campfire wood for $10/night, however, there are several roadside campfire stations(directly across 101 from camp) offering small bundles for $5-6/night.  Beyond the adventuring that can be done on the property, Baker Beach state park is less than a half a mile away and there is a plethora of trails, parks and lakes within 10 miles.    There is a spring fed creek that runs through the middle of the property and although clean, we wouldn't recommend if for drinking without treatment.  However, we do ask that you use it to help extinguish campfires at check out.   Relax and enjoy!

Lost Coast Adventure Camp
My friends and I needed a weekend away from school and decided on this spot. We had a great time sitting around the fire and roaming around in the woods nearby! It’s close to the street but I don’t think I noticed it once and the bathroom was crazy clean. Rained all week and still had so much fun! Would definitely come Back!

Absolutely gorgeous spot with clean porta potty, fire pit, and picnic table. You can definitely hear the road noise but it was still peaceful.

Perfect Fall Camping Weekend
We had the best time camping at Lost Coast Adventure Camp! The weather was absolutely perfect and the campsite felt so secluded and intimate. This scenery left us speechless, especially at sunset. We set up the tent, but ended up sleeping in a hammock both nights. Would recommend to anyone!

Wonderful getaway!
My wife, our two dogs, and I absolutely loved camping here! We spent three nights and enjoyed every minute. The private site was exactly what we were looking for and conveniently close to a small local store because we forgot a couple things. Even the porta potty was well maintained, we were pleasantly impressed! Yes, it is right on the 101 but the traffic noise wasn’t a bother at all, of course we could hear it but it wasn’t obnoxiously loud. Also, I loved how fast we got messages from Jason and Megan; super easy to communicate with and accommodating if anything changed. We will be coming back!

Great, simple camp ground!
Megan and Jason’s property is a lovely, simple space for camping. Although there are limited amenities, the porta potty on site was nice and clean. There is also a very large picnic table and nice fire pit. The property is in a great location, close to all the sites we wanted to see in Florence. Would recommend if you’re looking for a simple camp ground.

Primitive forest gem on the Coast
We loved our troop experience at Lost Coast Adventure Camp! We really appreciated the clear instructions & heads up about potential road noise. Some scouts brought earplugs just in case but it wasn’t a problem & definitely quieted down at night. There was plenty of space for our tents & two zones for separate badgework. We could see lots of potential & it will be fun to see how this property evolves. The morning light thru the trees was pretty spectacular! The sunsets thru the trees were beautiful too. We could even see a few constellations above the canopy of trees each night!

Beautiful campsite
Overall beautiful site!! Really close to the ocean with beautiful views and hikes. Though it’s near highway 101, not much noise other than birds and the occasional squirrel. Very secluded and easy to find. Convenient location 6 minuets from town. Hosts we’re very kind and helpful providing exact directions and a pin to find the campsite. Provided Porta potty needed cleaning, wasn’t much of a hassle.

this site was exactly as listed. i needed a spot on my way down to the redwoods and was a good midway point. the host was nice enough to warn me about the street noise as it's directly on 101, which wasn't an issue for me since i slept in my car.

🏕 on the coast.
I was lucky to get this spot last minute on a Friday in July. The camp is exactly as described. I found it easily with GPS plus the detailed driving directions. It is close to 101 , however I don't understand other reviews complaining. The description clearly states this. Yes,, I heard traffic, it did not disturb me, I slept well. It is a private oasis ,no other campers, just off the highway with a privacy fence. The mature timber is a beautiful setting. A true jem. I enjoy private camping without other campers near. There is a Porta potty. Fire ring, picnic table, all a person needs for true back to nature camping. I loved my vehicle camp night here with my two cats . The site was clean, Easy to access nearby beaches and other attractions. I felt safe. I will be back!

Great spot if you’re wanting to drive along the coast! It’s right on 101 and close to BEAUTIFUL baler beach. Also there’s a great spot to watch the sunset just down the road at a pullout! We loved that we had a whole little woods area to ourselves and were not bothered by highway sounds. There’s lots of room to find a cozy spot for a tent and did not feel like we were right on the road. :)

Amazing spot! Feels very secluded despite being close to the highway. I don’t know if it is possible but it would be cool to have a trail to the beach cleared out in the future!

Lost Coast Adventure Camp
Plenty of room and noise
The site was very large and conveniently located, close to the beach. However, it is literally right on the highway and has minimal coverage. The site could be made much more enjoyable by moving the camping area to the back of the property in a more secluded area. Also, the trail to the beach is unusable due to flooding, so to get to the beach we had to walk on the busy 101 and then down a long access road to the public beach access. Overall, it’s a good site, but not exactly what we we’re looking for or expecting.

The campsite was good and the outdoor bathroom was clean. It was a little noisy along the highway. This campsite is a great spot when passing through where you need a place to stay for one night.

Basic spot of property with a dry spot to pitch a tent. This site was very basic as far as amenities go, but the listing and host communication did a good job of setting those expectations properly. Thanks for hosting!

Beautiful forested site
Great site! We loved being under the tall trees and having plenty of space to ourselves. It was located really close to the sea lion cave and not far from Cape Perpetua, where there's great hiking and sightseeing. You could hear the noise from Highway 101 from the campsite, but it didn't keep us up at night. The firewood was a little wet with recent rain, but there was a site across the street where we bought drier wood. Our hosts were really responsive and let us extend our trip an extra day. We'd love to come back!

Room for improvement
This is a very primitive campsite but it could be improved with some site prep. Finish the driveway. Prepare a leveled tent site. Dig and build a pit toilet to replace the plastic porta-potty. Absence of the host seemed weird. Called for restaurant suggestions, but not all that helpful. Over-priced.

Lovely spot for a camping date🦋🌸
My friend and I had a wonderful day at this spot- it was easy to find and close to Florence for convenience. It was clear that Megan and Jason have taken good care of this gem of a spot, to ensure that folks like my friend and I can enjoy a home away from home. It was a bit drizzly while we were there, but the fire pit is placed under a covering of trees, so we stayed warm and cozy all day, despite the weather. Plenty of brush around the property to keep the fire going all day! We loved hearing the ocean in the distance, and both feel at home in the trees, so it really was a lovely camp spot. The sound of traffic didnt really bother us- and it died down quite a bit around night fall. It was nice to have access to firewood- though we had to practice our lumber jacking skills and learned we might want to have a bundle or two of cut wood for easefulness next time. We appreciated this experience and felt safe, welcomed and happy to be in the trees in our own spot. The hosts were communicative and made sure we had clear directions to get into the spot, and we very much appreciate that. We look forward to seeing this beautiful place as it continues to evolve and hope to visit in the summer. Thank you Megan and Jason for hosting us❤️ Nichole

Nice private campsite surrounded by huge trees and ferns. Very clean out potty. There is some traffic noise as it is right on the highway but it dies down after 10pm. We heard elk and saw lots of stars through the canopy.
