Our place is 28 acres. Do not drive into the upper field, there is a stop sign on that gate. It is irrigated, and you could get stuck and cause property damage. Our niche is that we only host one group of people at a time. Whether you are a solo camper or a group of 50, you will never have to compete for space with another group. This also allows for increased safety for single travelers and elderly. We are open year-round but make sure your tires can handle our terrain. Our driveway is immediately off Ontario Heights Rd. Google tells people to turn on Grand View Lane. Do not do this as there is no access to our property from that direction. We have a 300-gallon trash bin next to our mailbox that says camp host. Our driveway is immediately across the road from there. The gate is latched but not locked on the left side. Initial fee covers a spot for one sleeping structure. Add any additional tents/rv/vehicles used for sleeping. You can add extra sleeping structures under the extra tab. Included in options to buy is RV power hook up and EV overnight charging. A small somewhat muddy creek runs through the front of the property year-round. The water is clearer during the winter and spring months. Cleared spots in this area are small so only tent camping in this area is recommended. It is densely wooded. We have goats in this field, they are shy. Oregon has an invasive poisonous weed called Water hemlock. If you camp in this area, familiarize yourself with this plant so you can avoid it. Camping areas have been cleared of this plant but if you wander along the creek you will encounter it. Areas people have liked are up top by the top field gate, or down in the field that our large chicken coop is in. There are no animals in those areas, but chickens do make noises. Up top we have roosters that make noise about 5 am. The lower field on the right is the quietest. If you have children camping near the house is recommended. The bridge at the entrance to our property is 11' wide, which should allow a standard 8' RV to pass into the property. RV hook up is right off the driveway by the power pole. Ground is in its native form and only gets minimal rain. Some weeds and goatheads may be present. Look us up on Facebook under Micone Ranch.We are close to the Vale, Oregon, exit on I-84 and Highway 201. The Ontario exits are nearby and provide shopping and eating options. The day-use campground is 10 minutes from us. The spots to camp are by the creek (access through the lower field), in the Lower field, or in the backyard area near the house. Near the lower field, off the paved long driveway, is an area where you can park a long trailer. Come enjoy camping like it was meant to be, quiet and part of the land. We want to provide a quiet option for campers other than crowded campgrounds with other people. Groups of people are welcome as long as they are all together. On our property, you will have only your group of campers. That could be two people in a car driving through, or a family or church group gathering. The additional guest fee is an additional tent/RV fee. The only way to ensure one group of people who know each other is to make one spot and add tents or additional RVs as additional guests. Does not matter how many are in the tent or RV. Only the structure is charged for. Cars only count if they’re what you're sleeping in. You need to cross a small bridge. If your vehicle or trailer is wider than 11 feet you will not fit. Length is not an issue. The lower pasture is probably the best place to park for a camp like experience. The pasture is not groomed. However you are welcome to park anywhere along our long driveway or paved area by the house as well. Most of the driveway is gravel.

Campfires allowed

Firepit. Only allowed in the designated movable fire pit during non fire ban months. No on the ground fires are permitted. Be fire safe. Make sure to have water from the house to put the fire out.

Toilet available

When we are home, you are welcome to use the bathroom in the house. It is left off of the mudroom as you enter the house and is somewhat secluded from the rest of the house.

Pets allowed

Off leash. Please do not let them chase the animals. If you know your pet is aggressive, please keep it on leash. If your animal kills a farm animal, you will be expected to buy the animal at a fair market value. We have wire kennels and tie off chains you can use at no cost if it is helpful to you.

Showers available

Hot water . There is a shower in the house for an additional $5 fee. A towel is provided and you can use our soaps and shampoo.

Bins available

Trash bin. Black 300 gallon trash bin is by the mail box on the road.

Cooking equipment present

Bbq. We have a propane grill by the house you can use . We also have a briquette BBQ but you would need your own briquettes.

Picnic table present

We have outside tables that fit up to 12 people up near the house. You are welcome to use them. 3 Umbrellas provide shade for the area. Umbrellas have lights that are solar powered. Clorox wipes are provided to clean the table from the outdoors elements. Cushions for the seats are kept indoors for cleanliness. Please let us know before your visit if you would like to use them.

Bring your own water. There is a huge sink in the mud room you can fill water containers from. It is house filtered water.

The first tent, rv, or car you are sleeping in is included in the original reservation. For extra tents, RVs or cars that will be on the property there is another 20 dollar fee. You can pay that by selecting this or by selecting extra guests at the time of reservation. We charge by sleeping structures, not by people in them. This is how we are able to keep camping for one group at a time and still earn a reasonable amount.

Must be booked ahead of time. Please text an approximate time you would like to shower so we can accommodate you. For a family larger than 4 a max of $20 will apply. Fee is just intended to cover the labor of deep cleaning the bathroom, supplies and laundry service. A variety of soap and shampoo is provided for use. If you have a family larger than 5, please let us know in a message so we can pull towels from our personal towels to supply the bathroom with. The bathroom is supplied with 5 spa like plush towels from Target along with washcloths. Only select up to 4 guests for charging purposes. The bathroom for guest use is through the single door at the front of the house. It is to the left of the washing machine as you open the door. The door is left unlocked during your stay unless no one is home. We work differing schedules, so someone is usually home at all times.

Start your trip off right with firewood for your campfire. Wood is located by the house, or you can gather your own near your camp spot. Clippers and saws are by the house. If you camp in a remote area on the property and have a small, contained fire no charge is made for wood, you gather yourself. You must use the portable fire pit we have near the house. No on the ground fires allowed. Instant bookings may not allow us time to replenish cut wood supplies. Please be aware of this. If this happens you are welcome to split wood yourself if you have paid for wood.

Feed the goats experience

This gives you one container of feed. Best feeding times are early morning or late night. During the day they are out in the field. This is an independent event. If we are home and you would like company, please feel free to ask one of us to go with you. Our goats are friendly, but you can also feed them from the other side of the fence if that makes you more comfortable.

Stopped over in the dark and found easy directions to a private hill. Paid for two vehicles. Nice and quiet, then we left at dawn to continue south. Perfect place to stop. Beautiful sunrise from here. I hope to arrive earlier next time. Would have loved to feed the goats.

Great place to stay for the night. Lot's of chickens with for or so beautiful roosters. Nice gazebo fire pit area. The beef we bought was great. Be sure to eat at the Irish restaurant in Ontario very good homemade food.

Stay was good, and Tamera was very welcoming. My only issue was the goat heads were pretty bad for my dog. We were able to lay down some plywood so he could get in and out of the trailer. Easy in and out of the site with electricity.

I spent a peaceful night at Tamara’s, the location is accurate and I just parked in their front (before the gate to field). I actually like that is easy in and out, have street light (feel safe!) and very flat. Thanks for Tamara and her hubby’s accommodation I did enjoy the night a lot 😊

Thank you for sharing this lovely small farmstead with me. I enjoyed waking up to the rooster and your goats are too funny. The site was perfect for my setup and I am so glad to have the use of the In-House toilet. What a blessing. If I have any complaint at all, it was the farm light and I could have done a better job of blocking it... I just didn't want to go back out in the cold at night to do it. :)

Nice farm stay with great lawn area

Nice spot to stay in the area. We drove around a little on the property when we got there trying to decide where to set up and after some pokey goat head thorns getting stuck in the dogs paws at the lower field, we ended up parking the trailer near the grassy lawn up past the house. Ended up really liking that choice! Pretty lawn, shade trees, very cute piggies off in a pen near the house, some cute goats running the field next to us. Bathroom was a nice thing to have but felt a little intrusive being that it’s in the house just off the kitchen, but all in all not bad. The interstate noise was a little more loud at night than we were expecting, so maybe something to consider if you’re a light sleeper. We enjoyed our stay and drove to go golfing nearby at the very pretty Scotch Pines course.

The perfect place!

This was our second time staying at Micone, and won’t be our last. This is a perfect location to bring kids or get away and relax by yourself. We always use it as a half way point while driving and we look forward to it. Tamera is very nice and accommodating. See ya again soon!

Quiet, safe, convenient

With short notice, the hosts kindly greeted us. Great spot as a stop over from or to Central Oregon (@5 hour drive) just outside Ontario. Away from I-84 so only a dim sound in the distance of traffic, and more sounds of a farm. Our bad to have not explored the property further for spot to park our RV. Happily settle near the entrance near the creek but now wish we had stayed up the hill a bit further with a lovely view and still privacy next to the house and near the lawn area. Next time! Thank you A and R for offering us this safe and quiet space!

My husband and I absolutely loved staying at this cute little ranch! We felt safe, saw the Stars, and really appreciated the back porch light being left on us so we could find the bathroom in the night. I really loved all of the little farm animals and our hosts were extremely kind. Very delightful experience:)

Pretty rough terrain but we managed to back the teardrop in among some shade. We we cautioned about the hemlock, but didn't show us what to look for. We felt the least amount if work to improve your listing is to eradicate the hemlock. Clean up weeds in the most used camping areas, improve the access to those areas-just weed whack a path and Pick up the trash also the latching chain situation on the gates could use improvement. Since there is no longer a gate to the lower field/creekside area then remove that fence line for easier backing in with trailers.

We had a great time camping at Micone Ranch! We arrived right around sunset and Tamara came out to greet us. There were lots of animals! The piglets, ducks, chickens, and goats were all fun to see! We camped behind the house in the grass, my only suggestion for future visitors is that if you're looking to see the stars, camp in a different spot as there was a streetlamp-looking light that made it difficult to stargaze. Otherwise we had a great visit!

This spot was a great pit stop on my way from Oregon to Salt Lake City. I camped in a tent and wish I had chosen a spot closer to the main entrance because it is flatter and more level for tent camping. I chose in the backyard of the house because of shade and proximity to the bathroom, and my tent was on a bit of a slant. Things I’ll know for next time! It was over 100 every day I was there, so I spent most of my days in nearby towns (Caldwell, Boise, and Nampa) to beat the heat, so can not speak to hanging around during the day. All that said though, Tammy and her family were super friendly to me and showed me around. I loved having the animals around as well, the ducks are adorable, and even appreciated the 5 am wake up call from the roosters. The fresh eggs were worth the extra dollars, as well as the shower. It’s awesome that she lets you use the bathroom in her home while you stay. This is worth the price for sure! I was alone traveling as a woman and felt very safe and secure while at Tammy’s spot. I would come back and stay again, likely camp near the creek by the front entrance.

Tamara was a friendly and helpful host. She provided filtered potable water for us from the house after warning us about any other water. We were also welcomed to use the toilet that is just inside the unlocked back door. There is plenty of room for a large group at this Hipcamp site if people are in RVs or set up to camp primitively. We pitched our tent down by the creek (agricultural, not swimmable). As mentioned by others, we could hear some freeway noise, but also some nice creek sounds and birdies. The goats were cute and curious but not intrusive. The creek area would not be ideal for families with little ones due to a difficult surface for toddlers, the aforementioned goats and the presence of poisonous Water Hemlock. Everything was pretty much as described. It was a good price and as we were traveling through the area and needing a place for that night, we appreciated the instant confirmation.
