Description

Wake up to wading shore birds and the gentle lapping of water against sandy banks when you camp at Government Island. Camping is bare bones here; just pitch a tent on the shoreline (below the vegetation) or at the few designated upland camping spots. Primitive camping means roughing it without electricity or running water, but chances are a restroom and possibly a picnic table will be close by.

Not a regulated camping spot. People do not seem to respect nature or clean up after themselves.
