Our modern-rustic accommodations blend seamlessly with nature—choose from cozy forest yurts, charming cabins, a tiny house, pet-friendly cottages, or the spacious River Falls Lodge. Tent campers and RV travelers will find serene sites under towering firs and cedars. Hike through sun-dappled trails, explore our converging creeks, or swim and canoe in our spring-fed pond. Most sites welcome campfires (burn bans permitting) and furry companions. Whether you seek a bare-bones adventure or comforts like full kitchens, our range of listings lets you unplug at your own pace. "Puffball" Cozy Forest Yurt

Puffball Yurt (all three of our yurts are named after local mushrooms) is our most private accommodation - tucked away in the woods, with Canyon Creek burbling happily behind. Located just feet away from our picturesque creeks and trout pond, and miles of easy hiking trails, guests can drive right up to the parking pad near Puffball. This yurt is furnished with a freshly-made, comfy queen-size bed, persian carpets and floor cushions (some guests use these as a child's sleeping area), bedside table and small wardrobe unit. It features a large, private outdoor patio with cafe lights, fire pit and picnic table. Other amenities include potable water, electricity and a cast-iron wood-stove for damp or chilly evenings. Linens (towels, pillows, sheets and blankets) are included, along with firewood for your wood stove and fire pit. Puffball is just a short walk away from our fully-plumbed bathhouse, which has flushing toilets, sinks, showers and a stacking washer-dryer for shared use with other guests (fresh towels provided in the yurt). Notes: - Camp's roadways are gravel, but Puffball sits on a large, smooth concrete slab. - Fire pit use may be prohibited during local fire bans.

Camp Colton's Tiny House is a modern getaway in the forest. Located just across from the creek-fed trout pond and star-gazer meadow. Sleep in the comfort of a home, while embraced by the natural beauty that surrounds you. Our Tiny House has a queen bed in the loft and two comfy chairs that convert into twin beds on the main floor. Enjoy cooking on a four-burner gas stove, bake up a treat in the oven. Start your day with a meditation on the pond's reflections while sipping your morning coffee on the front porch. Spend hours exploring the miles of hiking trails, followed by a hot shower in your private bath. Wind down around the fire pit (except during fire bans) in the rear sitting area while listening to the creek before bedtime. Fresh linens (towels, pillows, sheets and blankets) and firewood are included.

Chanterelle Yurt (all three of our yurts are named after local mushrooms) is one of our newest accommodations - tucked away in the woods, with Bee Creek burbling happily behind. Located just feet away from our picturesque creeks and trout pond, and miles of easy hiking trails, guests can drive right up to the parking spot near the yurt. This yurt is furnished with a freshly-made, comfy queen-size bed and twin bunk beds, carpet, floor cushions and a bedside table, making it perfect for a small family. The oculus at the top of the yurt may be opened along with its screened windows to let in the cool air on hot summer nights, or fire up the wood stove (firewood provided) to make it warm and cozy on chilly evenings. Linens (towels, pillows, sheets and blankets) are included, along with firewood for your wood stove and fire pit. Morel is located just a short walk away from our fully-plumbed bathhouse, which has flushing toilets, sinks, showers and a stacking washer-dryer for shared use with other guests (toilet paper and paper towels are included; fresh towels provided in the yurt). All our yurts have electricity to make sure your devices are fully charged, as well as access to potable water (spigot and bath house). Notes: - Camp's roadways and the parking area near this yurt are gravel. - Fire pit use may be prohibited during local fire bans. - Proximity of this yurt to Morel Yurt and flat, grassy areas for tent camping make it a good option for those looking to accommodate multiple guests.

Camp Colton's cozy Cottage offers all the conveniences of an artful home within a wooded setting. Perfect for longer stays, the Cottage features hardwood floors, a full kitchen with glass-top stove, oven, sink and apartment-sized fridge. Clean up after a day of hiking and creek walks under the luxurious rain-head shower in the subway-tiled bath. (Fresh towels await you upon arrival.) The Cottage can sleep up to six adults on its queen murphy bed and twin daybed with trundle on the main floor, plus a queen mattress in the loft (steep, narrow stairs and no railing up above mean guests utilize the loft at their own risk). Bedding (sheets, pillows and blankets) are provided. French doors let in the light and open to a private patio and shou sugi ban-fenced garden for outdoor dining and relaxing (not shown in old photos - we are working on it!). Plenty of windows keep it light and bright, or pull curtains closed for privacy. Throw them open for cool breezes in summer, or fire up the cast iron wood stove to chase away the cold on winter nights (firewood provided). Note: The Cottage is located near our hobby farm, our office and our maintenance barn. Animal noises, vehicles and voices should be expected during business hours. **This accommodation also offers free electric car charging at its parking area!

Camp Colton offers multiple sights for tent camping on our grounds. Choose from our sunny Meadow sites with shared fire pit and picnic table next to Bee Creek, our shady Sculpture Garden with picnic table, large mulched site at Cedar Circle, or the most remote Fern Circle site nestled among the trees. Spend the day exploring our 85 acres of woodlands, including miles of trails, creeks, a waterfall and stocked trout pond. All tent camping sites come with access to our fully-plumbed bath house with toilets, sinks and free hot showers (BYO towels and toiletries). Firewood is provided for fire pits (may be prohibited during fire season). Shared laundry is also available in the bath house. While the actual sites where tents can be pitched are not drivable (so parking your car in the Meadow or Sculpture Garden, for example, is not allowed), nearby gravel roadways are available for dropping off your gear before parking your car back in our parking lots overnight.

From first contact to last, Allison, Neal, Lawrence, and the whole Camp Colton team made us feel welcomed and cared for. It's a beautiful campus with excellent facilities. Perfect way to keep dry in the wet Oregon spring when tent camping just ain't the vibe.

Blue Heron Queen | Room #6

This location is fantastic! I can’t say enough about how magical and powerful the land is, and the people who tend this place are really wonderful. There was another room available around the corner from the room I booked that they offered for me to switch to with French doors, looking out at the trees and covered outdoor area. The room was very sweet and rustic, with modern touches. My only complaint is the mildew smell from the old building. Though it was lovely in every other way, I would not stay in this building again, I would book a room or cabin in a newer building elsewhere on the property due to that issue.
