Book a guided Forest Bathing walk on the property, a barn visit next door at the Newfoundland Pony Rescue or simply help feed the chickens in the morning.....you pick.

We had a magical overnight at the Field of Birds campsite. The mosquitoes were ferocious in the evening, but for every mosquito there must have been ten fireflies, which more than made up for any bites. We went for an evening swim and the path back was lit up by a magical light show. The stars were very clear (it's not far from the Dark Sky Viewing Area) and my partner set up his telescope and found a comet. The river is shallow and has a very gentle current - great for kids - and the site is clean and private, and had everything we needed. The driveway in was passable with our old tent trailer. Communication with Joanna was great. Would certainly go back.

Staying at Joanna's Field of Birds was a little slice of paradise.... the charm of the farm, the welcoming, the space and sun and breeze.... everything about our time here was incredible. The site is very well set up...and the walk to the river was so enjoyable. The water was warm and we enjoyed a family swim! Our son picked eggs with Joanna every morning, and we enjoyed the most beautiful sun sets every night. This site is truly a hidden gem. We want to come back in the fall to enjoy the Sauna!
