Camping at Joanna's site 'Cedar Grove' was even more enjoyable than what my friends and I had hoped for. We were greeted as soon as we arrived and were offered wheelbarrows to help move our gear to the site with ease.
There was enough room for our tents (3 of them) and we did not feel cramped around the campfire in the least. The cedar trees even provide some protection from the elements. We were caught in the rain for a few hours but hardly noticed due to the tree cover.
The kitchenette and composting toilet are amazing amenities to have, especially if you're staying for a few nights. There is access to the Tay river only a short walk from the site and you can easily wade into the shallow waters (bring water shoes if you can, it is rocky and there are shells).
Overall, this is the perfect size for most groups and we would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a classic camping experience.
Very welcoming and perfect campsite
Joanna was very very welcoming and provided us firewood right at our campsite. There’s plenty of trees as well as a good mix of sun and shade. There was a lot of beautiful lakes around that are very close to drive to and you can also walk to christie lake from the campsite itself ! Definitely a 10/10 trip, planning on coming back later this summer :)
