I had my birthday here with a couple friends and had a blast! Campfire was amazing and the wood provided was really amazing. Recommend some bug spray definitely bring that the mosquitos can get pesky around the water. 10/10 Would come back again and probably will!

Great private spot in the woods! Plenty of room for tents and the covered picnic table really helped. It's near a nice river which does add to the bugs but it's a great spot and Bob as a host was fabulous as well. We would return.

Beautiful property and very private! Definitely very buggy so come prepared. We had a great time even with the rain and hope to be back with nicer weather :)

Bob and Tini were great hosts and went out of their way to make the experience excellent. Because of the wet weather, the mosquitoes were fierce, but Bob provided enough wood, without charge, to help keep the fires going. The site is clean, quiet, and feels remote, though it's not too far from town. Definitely recommended.

Site 1- Indian Ledges Overlook
We love staying at Bobs campsites along the Souhegan River. Group of 4 adults, an 11month old baby, and one pup enjoyed a late May weekend at campsite #1. Although it rained for a good portion, the huge tarp over the picnic table was incredibly helpful! We set up an ez-up but didn't end up using it as intended over the picnic table, but put it just off to the side acting as a baby corral while we cooked meals at the site. We also fit an SUV, truck camper, and tent on the site. Loved the sound of the rushing river, made even higher by all the rain. So peaceful it felt like we were alone in the woods, even with the horse pasture on the other side of the fence. Ticks were bad this time around but we checked ourselves often. As always, we love the grate over the firepit for cooking, as well as the option to purchase firewood on site!

We loved Bob and Tini’s land! There were well marked signs so you wont be able to miss it. Very spacious campsite with chairs and picnic table. It has been raining for the past few days so the river was rushing and was nice to hear at night. Everything exceeded our expectations. Definitely one of the best hip camps I’ve been to so far!

I loved camping at the serenity site, it was perfectly isolated while still having everything you could need. This is the best camping spot that I have found yet I will definitely be back!

We loved this camp site. Site two was a large size with the fire ring steps away from the wooden platform. Great to have the tarp over the platform as the rain fell. The river was raging due to the large amount of rain. Looking forward to returning when swimming is an option. So grateful for this beautiful piece of land. Will be back most definitely.

Staying at Bob's was perfect. I rode a bike in from Boston and it rained all weekend, but the provisions on site kept me dry (as can be). The river is very nice, I swam up and down a few times. Met Bob and Wilson and had a nice chat and gave some scritches, but definitely felt like they respected my privacy as well. If you like staying at state parks and the like, but feel like you'd enjoy something a little more off the grid and a lot more private, Sauhegan Shores is perfect.

I loved our site at site 2. It had everything we would need and the river is right there, nice hearing it from our tent. The trails are easy to navigate. Bob is an excellent host and his attention details are awesome.

This site is beautiful and private, right on a bend in the river with a swimming hole. There was plenty of firewood, the host was very communicative and helpful, the site was well marked, well maintained and well supplied.

Fantastic spot! Right next to the river, very spacious. Bob has made it a homy spot with a platform with a picnic table, and a nice firepit. He also provided firewood which was a great touch. Thanks for a great stay hoping to come back!

The spot is magical. A secluded area with river access, little bridges, an outhouse, table, fire pit, and dogs roaming around. Bob and Tini are very kind and make sure you have a great stay. I wish I could keep this place hidden all to myself but it genuinely deserves a 10/10.

Bobs camps are really great. Camps 2 is big open but very secluded, you will not here or see anyone. Bob made sure you are 100% setup for the camp with a porta loo and wood bin. i will be coming back time and time again.
I did get woken up one night to fiercly battling racoons haha. also there was a big group of turkeys that visted and Wilson (Bobs pup) will visit.

We loved our stay at site 2! It was very private and peaceful overlooking the water. Good level spot for our large tent and a nice platform for dining. The signs are very clear to get back to the site. We even arrived after dark because of traffic and had no issues navigating. Bob and Wilson were great hosts! We hope to stay again some time.

Winter/Early Spring Camp: Bob was a very accommodating and friendly host. Plenty of wood was provided to help us feed the camp stove and stay warm in our tent. The views were great and we felt very secluded. It was a great stay for me, my wife, and two dogs.

Lovely bit of land. Possibly the best Hipcamp I've been to yet. I arrived after dark yet was easily able to follow the directions to the site. I found the place clean, fully-stocked with wood and ready to go. The tarp flying high over the picnic table really helped keep the area clean and tidy for cooking and prep.
Proximity to the river is clutch. It makes a beautiful sound at night and is simple to visit. It was a bit cold for swimming, but I bet it's perfect on a hot summer day. I also heard it's fun to catch crawfish there.
The site feels very private. It's dark and intimate in the woods, yet the field right across the foot bridge allows for some seriously expansive views of the sky. I would think about coming here during the next meteor shower. It's nice having the field so close.
I also met the owners. They're both very nice people, and I got the impression they really love the land and how it's being used. Bob is great to hang out with, we got some good conversations going. Wilson the dog even stopped by to say hello.
No regrets about this place, I'll be coming back again!

Fantastic camping experience. Bob was very friendly and welcoming, helped us out with firewood and gave us a lot of good information and stories about the land. The campsite is very private, tucked away in beautiful mature trees, with lots of nice flat cleared space for tents. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the site and property. We hope to be back soon. Thank you for a great camp!

Bob and Tini, short for Christine were epic as was a visit from their dog Wilson. Very easy to find and I felt extremely isolated even though I was on their property. Super clean site and the river was beautiful. I swam in it and it was clean. They think of everything for their guests. You won't need a tarp, folding table, or even chairs. all is supplied. I will be back.
