    This five-acre oasis was once a landscape nursery. So given the close proximity to downtown we are a hidden sanctuary from the outside world, secluded by cottonwood trees and mature foliage. The site now serves as a wedding venue and offers views of Mount Helena to the South and the Sleeping Giant to the North. Learn more about this land: Pitch a tent in our aspen grove or park your camper/RV in the grassland field. You're close to downtown with lots of privacy/scenery. You'll have views of regal Mount Helena to the South and The Sleeping Giant to the North. The South Hill trail complex is a great place to explore as well as the Scratchgravels. The Missouri River is only 20 minutes away as well as Lake Hauser and Canyon Ferry. If new to the area and interested in history, we recommend the Tour Train. We also have several great breweries - our favorites include Ten Mile and Blackfoot Breweries (a perfect stop you can ride to after a trail ride/hike in the South Hills). This site is perfect for those wanting to explore Downtown Helena, it's renowned trail systems, but still sleep under the stars. Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them. There is water throughout the property that you are welcome to use for cleaning, but it is not potable.

    Always appreciate the ability to pull over in Helena and break up my long drive north. It’s a great city to explore so it’s nice to be close in but feel like you’re immersed in nature on the edge of town. This was my second time staying at this site and I always wake up to spectacular sunsets and the perfume of lilacs.

    This was the perfect spot to camp in Helena -- private, clean, close to amenities. This is my new favourite place to camp in the area. Plus, the host's communication was quick and easy. Highly recommend.

    This is an excellent place to stay while in Helena. It’s just a short drive away from Downtown but doesn’t feel like you’re in town. Highly recommend!

    This spot is accurately described in their Hipcamp post. The camping area is surrounded by trees that provide a sense of seclusion even though it’s close to town. Potties & hand washing station were clean and tidy.

    This is a gem place to stay! It was quiet and tucked away with trees screening three sides and a good portion of the fourth. There were clean portable toilets and a hand wash station. Water was available if needed. It is close in to town but it doesn't feel like it. The host was responsive to communication and directions were good. I would definitely stay there again!

    We were so lucky to stay at this spot. It was right near town and we had the place to ourselves! Thank you for sharing this lovely setting. We will definitely book with you again the next time we drive to Helena in our RV.

    Good spot to stop while traveling! It was surprisingly private and peaceful despite the proximity to town. It’s usually hard to find good tent sites this close to society, but we really liked this place.

    If you want to camp close to the city of Helena, this is the place. No KOA amenities, neither the cost. You camp on a dry grass area with lots of space and not much shade, while the Shades of Green event space is adjacent. That features a picnic table on irrigated lawn, water spigots, and lots of shade under mature trees. Some porta potties are there for you. Free wifi close to the shed. Beware, there might be quite a bit of noise from trains and planes.
