Review summary
Generated from real Hipcamper reviews
The campsite offers a mix of solitude and proximity to Rochester, making it a convenient stop for travelers. Many appreciated the peaceful surroundings and the rustic charm of the cabin, though some noted the lack of privacy due to the layout of the sites. The presence of a nearby airport and highway can interrupt the tranquility with noise, which some found bothersome. Issues with maintenance, such as non-functional lights and lack of water, were mentioned, but the overall experience was positive for those seeking a simple, no-frills camping experience.

Exactly what we were looking for. Easy to find, easy to get to the Mayo Clinic, safe, quiet, private. Edward has spent a lot of time and effort to make this a comfortable and welcoming place. Please check it out. Especially after the maddening construction conditions near the clinic.
Camped in a 30 ft travel trailer at Site 1 with pets, Aug 2026.

Nice site but the trees are so low I have hole in my roof and scratches all the way down the side of my 30’ trailer now. I had to use a chainsaw to cut branches off several trees just to be able to pass. I will not stay here again. The entrance to the site is angled the wrong way and is narrow. You have to back in from a road about 10-12’ wide. I wouldn’t take anything bigger than a pop up camper here in its current condition.

This was actually my first Hipcamp. I rolled in off of I 90 on a cross-country trip, mile and a half north of the highway, and there it was, better than advertised. I had it all to myself, which would’ve been fine if I had to share, but I didn’t. It was getting on in the day, but I walked around the area and realized I was encased in a cornfield. I stayed in site 1 with my truck camper, the tent options looked real nice as well. Never saw a single person. Rolled out early and called it a success story.
