Tent camping on secluded 40 acres.
What a lovely weekend. The campsite is so quaint and beautiful. There is enough space between the site and the owners home that it feels very secluded, but they are close enough by in case of emergency.
The site is absolutely beautiful, under the canopy of trees but enough space for tents and dogs to run around. Not to mention the amazing stream that runs right through the campsite.
The host was very helpful and kind, giving us good recommendations in town and taking care of any issues that arise. We will be back!

This is such a lovely campsite! Nestled into a picturesque Driftless valley, right by a small crystal creek. Suzie was a great host. It was really easy to find the site, there is even a clear "Welcome HipCamp" sign at the turn, which is a rarity and super helpful when we arrived in the dark. The outhouse was very new and clean. We enjoyed exploring the property with it's maze of trails. Just a short drive from Viroqua. Would love to stay again!

Picturesque river valley area with the perfect solo secluded site. Communicative, pleasant host. Simple but clean outhouse. Awesome mini hiking trail system carved into the property. My pup had a blast.

My partner and I enjoyed our camping experience very much, Suzie’s spot provided much needed time to unplug. The little stream is very peaceful, great places to set up hammocks, and the road was very quiet. Bugs were not an issue at all. Zero cell service for ATT and Verizon — which is exactly what we hoped for, but just fyi.

Camping on Suzie’s land was a real treat! My partner and I hiked around a little bit on the 40 acres, yet felt like we barely scratched the surface. Beautiful spring fed brook running through the site and it was even close enough to hear while drifting off to sleep. There are many worthwhile activities close by including the viroqua farmers market on Saturdays and the inviting Kickapoo River. I’d highly recommend checking out this gorgeous piece of the driftless with two wonderful hosts! I’m looking forward to the next time we can make it out yonder! Thanks Suzie!

We (and our dog) love camping here. Wonderful hosts (helpful, proactively communicating, but never in the way), gorgeous space (I would rather hang at the campsite than most other spots in which I have plunked down a chair and my book), an unreal number of fireflies, varied trails for walking the dog (and many criscrossings of the creek for dog to plonk around in), perfect starting point for a jaw-droppingly beautiful 5-, 20-, or 40-mile bike ride. An extra amenity they have added since our last stay is a solar shower, which I used and loved every single day. You could stay here to go hiking, biking, and paddling every day all day...or you could stay here and truly just stay here happily for a long weekend. Do it, either way.

A spacious site with plenty of peace, quiet and privacy. Mixed sun and shade; nice campfire area. The creek is tiny, but beautiful. There are a few trout in there as well!
The owners are very easy to get along with: great communication via the app, and in person if necessary. The in person “check-in” was quick & pleasant.
The campsite is relatively close to the road that goes through the valley, but there are enough trees and vegetation to make that pretty much a moot point. And there is less traffic on that road than there is in the average state park campsite loops!

We loved the place, great tent space. The set back location really gives you a nice hidden little location. We were out for fishing and hiking and we enjoyed both. We were able to hike the property alittle and really love what is being done there. We Were greeting by host and she was got us a 5 gallon outdoor shower set up, unfortunately we did not get to use it as it was alittle cold out. But very much appreciated the availability of it. Absolutely loved being right next to the stream. You could hear the stream all night long. So relaxing. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing host! They provided great directions to the property (google maps gets confused) and we knew exactly what to expect when we arrived. Perfect little property tucked in the hills of Wisconsin! Waking up to the sounds of nature and the running creek is something I will be thinking about for weeks. We had some rain while we were tent camping but the site was very easy to set up on and we had zero issues finding anything we needed between what they provide and local gas stations near by. A few visits from locals walking close to the site but they kept their distance and we still felt pretty secluded. Perfect weekend away spot and I definitely recommend staying here, I will be back hopefully in fall or summer when the area is in full bloom! :) I can’t thank you guys enough for opening up your property to us!

Suzie’s land was exactly what we needed a secluded getaway for the weekend that offered all the sounds nature and the babbling creek to wash away the stress of the world. Suzie was also an excellent host who ensured we had all that we needed and then faded into the background giving us all the privacy we could ask for , thank you for a wonderful stay.

Had a great time staying here. Very quiet and minimal vehicle noise made for a very restful few days. The stargazing here at night is fantastic with occasional wildlife hoots and hollers in the distance. Then you wake up to sounds of the creek and wind in the trees. Saw a few deer roam around as well. Thanks to the hosts for having this place and for being so kind. They made the stay very pleasant and now I look forward to going back to this spot in the spring.

What a beautiful weekend!! Warm days and cool nights; peaceful brook running behind the campsite, and a chorus of birdsong morning and night. Tons of bike/hiking trails - varying levels of difficulty. This place sits in a hallow, nestled in hardwood hills.
Jon and Suzie were gracious hosts! Thank you for sharing the beauty with us!
Tips: bring in firewood for extra nights or be prepared to scavenge (plenty of big limbs), but bring a saw/axe with ya!

We had a lovely stay here. The site felt secluded but was easy to access, and the creek running right by it, the fire pit (with seating), the picnic table, and the outhouse made for a cozy and enjoyable stay. We'll be back!

Beautiful land, generous amenities.
Picturesque views of the surrounding bluffs from a lush valley filled with the music of nature’s creatures. The campsite itself is large and the land is very well maintained. The host was there to meet me and offer local recommendations, then left me to my privacy for the remainder of my stay.
I had zero phone reception, but I did not mind. The hosts live a short walk away absent any phone services, I felt safer knowing they were reachable to contact in case of emergency.
I can’t describe the beauty of this place in words and even the photos can’t capture it all. You’ll have to go and see. I highly recommend this campsite and will definitely return!

The land was great and so fun to explore. Suzie was very friendly and accommodating. The nearby town is adorable and has a lot to offer if you want a break from the wilderness. We hope to be back soon!

Directions were outstanding. Susie and Jon were very warm and welcoming. Then they melted away for the rest of our stay, while offering their accomidations if we needed. Their piece of land is beautiful! We setup our tent, camping within a walnut grove with a bubbling brook and our fire crackling in the circle. All this adding to the wonderful ambiance of chirping insects, whooting owls, and yipping coyotes at night. It was such a peaceful and pure and relaxing place to be, we surely would love to visit again.

Great spot for a secluded getaway. Great trails to explore, a creek serenading you to sleep, a barred owl even visited our site at night for a quick peep. Took a day trip out to Wildcat Mountain state park and kayaked down the Kickapoo. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful private campsite, in a very scenic area. Large site with lots of space, and was immaculate when we arrived. Very natural setting with all kinds of different vegetation...Bluejays, Cardinals, deer, and butterflies made regular appearances. We were fortunate to have perfect weather throughout our weekend, which made it even better. Highly recommended and hope to return in the future!!!

We had a perfect weekend on Jon and Suzie’s Land. The campsite was beautiful, right next to the stream, and the property was well kempt. Hosts were very warm and kind, and the site was very private. We appreciated the load of firewood to get us started, and listening to the birds, brook and campfire.

This was a beautiful place for our kids and puppy to explore. The hosts were welcoming and accommodating through our entire stay. The trails were well maintained and the creek was inviting for walking through. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

This is a really special spot with loads of songbirds and a lovely stream. I liked that all of the trails were named and a nice variety of trail types. Very easy to find with the provided directions and everything was very convenient, perfect flat tent spot, nice fire pit, camp shower was also very much appreciated. Suzie and Jon made sure I had what I needed but were not at all intrusive. Hope to be back!

I had a fantastic time camping on Suzie's land with my 16 month old son. The land is beautiful, Suzie was very helpful, and the proximity to Viroqua was great for some activities we had planned there. Will definitely return with the rest of my family. Sleeping with the bubbling brook and birds chirping was incredibly relaxing.
