Beaver Lake 1
We spent a week at this Hipcamp operated by Maureen, a.k.a. “Ranger Reeny,” and we were very impressed the beauty and tranquility of this place. The secluded 80+ acres that were available to us to walk on a daily basis was a real plus and it was so relaxing kicking back during all hours of the day to take in the soothingly soft sounds of nature all around us.
To paraphrase, the rules are simple here: Be nice, be respectful of others and leave no trace when you leave. The property is well maintained, safe and secure.
The host is very inviting, friendly and helpful. Her mission, it seems, is to simply share her little piece of heaven with others. I’ve been several Hipcamps over the years and I would put this one at or near the very top of my list.
For those of you who are interested in visiting the San Juan Islands, hiking nearby trails or riding the Centennial Trail, this is a wonderful staging point.
Kudos to Maureen and her vision to share with strangers a unique, wonderful and relaxing camping experience.

Boot Hill 1
Beautiful area. Very quiet and relaxing. I was able to roof tent camp with no issues.
Maureen’s land was so beautiful, the area was quiet and serene. I was amazed at the beauty and scene surrounding us! We would definitely come back to camp again.
Our family had an excellent time camping here. The vast property was beautiful and so fun to explore, our kids loved exploring all there was to see. Our site was quiet and had a beautiful view. Boot Hill is the only place where the sites are closer together, but we were the only people in that area so it was very private.

Eagle's Nest
I had an amazing time staying at the Eagles Nest site. It's gorgeous and very private. The site has a mixture of open space and trees, which was great for stargazing at night. My only issue was there wasn't any good hammock trees on the site. But I got some hammock time in around the property, so there's still opportunities. I spent a lot of time exploring the property and all the cool little buildings and ponds. I will definitely be back!
Maureen’s land is something spectacular. Probably my favorite Hipcamp that we’ve stayed at by far. Truly a little slice of heaven. We will definitely be back in the future!

We had a great time at the Maureen's land, everything was nice and peaceful. Our dogs love it. We definitely recommend it.
Beautiful Unique Camping Experience.

Our campsite was next to a beautiful creek. Lots of wonderful paths to walk and other ponds and creeks to enjoy. Relaxing and safe.
Super clean and accessible porta potties.
We did hear a little gunfire from the shooting range next-door, but the more we camp the more we realize that seems to be the norm these days.
Our campsite was private, but if someone had been camping across the creek, it would have been less so.
Overall, highly recommended!!
PS don’t miss the incredible pond with a giant rock in it on top of the Boot Hill!

This place is so awesome I felt like I was kicked out of Oz and landed in an even more magical place. There is so much land to explore that we managed to completely lose track of time, only to be saved by discovering a goldmine of wild blackberries. Naturally, I put them into pancakes, because nothing says "peak survival skills" like foraging for breakfast fruit. Having actual power and water hookups for the RV felt like an absolute cheat code in the middle of nature. It was total, uninterrupted relaxation, We will absolutely be back!

Grotto Pond
We really enjoyed camping here! It was a nice private campsite and very clean! The summer-camp structures gave it an extra cool feeling! Thank you for the awesome space for our family to go camping! 💜
Maureen has such a beautiful plot of land. Our spot overlooked a large pond, lots of grass around the site and hookups!
Maureen was there to greet us and direct us to our site. This place would be a great group camping experience. There is a small playground and lots of old western-themed outbuildings. Kids would love exploring it all. It would make a great place for Hide & Seek or Capture the Flag.

We had a great time camping on Maureen’s land! This is a great spot to relax and explore. With 85 acres we took walks around the property, picked fresh blackberries, and found a spot to paint with watercolors. We also took our paddle boards along to go out on the small lake. There was a burn ban while we were there, but she had bricks ready to go on the table for the camp stove and also for our small propane fire pit.
With the creek and ponds around, there are lots of mosquitoes. We usually have a bug repellent coil, but with the burn ban we left it at home. And even with bug spray they were persistent little buggers.

There were a number of other sites being used while we were there, but no one was even close to our site. We didn't see or hear anyone at any time all weekend, until we walked the large beautiful property. Lots of sweet blackberries. Beautiful mix of trees, and nicely mowed grass. Many ponds with camping options we will likely take advantage of later. Saw a doe and fawn near our site.
Nice open clean campsite. The host was super friendly, and kindly greeted us upon arrival. Would definitely come back.
Beautiful property. We stayed on Trout Lake east. I don't know if there are really fish in it. We didn't catch any, never saw a fish jump. There were an abundant amount of mosquitos, but it was beautiful none the less. We left early because we could not have a real fire and the mosquitos didn't care that I had repelent on. I'm pretty miserable today. They got me in places that I never had been bit before.
This place was so sweet. Me and my partner wanted a quiet place to just be away for an overnight, and rocky top was absolutely perfect. a kind host, beautiful landscape, chill vibes and easy amenities. i would 1000000% recommend this place and we are already planning our next stay ^_^

We loved camping at Rocky Top. Maureen greeted us as we drove on to her land. She was friendly and outgoing. We followed her to the Eagles Nest site up in the Mountain. Talked us through a few upkeep and safety rules. We fell in love right away with the site we had chosen.
The Mountain views were stunning and peaceful and provided tranquility. Every site provides privacy and felt safe. In the night, the stars were so bright, we felt blessed to be enjoying the time we had in a beautiful place.
There was plenty of room for our tent, tables, and chairs around the fire pit. The outhouses were clean and nearby.
Yes, there will be a next time. We will be choosing to be on one of the Trout Lake sites where you can fish and enjoy the water.
There is fun for all, whether you’re a couple wanting to get away or, a family fun getaway this place fits everyone.
You can feel Maureen’s passion for her property. Her smile and exuberance when she talks about her slice of heaven that she would love people to come out and enjoy. Five stars totally recommend.

Lots of space to roam with plenty of shade when needed. Maureen met us when we got there and was friendly and made us feel welcome. Blackberries were plentiful (Aug 9). We would definitely come again.

Trout Lake East
Amazing place, very private and relaxing ! ☺️ 2 nights in a tent, by the trout lake. Can’t beat that.
I can guarantee you won’t want to leave! Maureen, her pup and her Beautiful Wilderness Oasis is special, a treat in the middle of a park like paradise in the woods!
