Wild River Camper
My fiance and I had an amazing time, the camper was perfect for 2 people and a dog. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and during the day we rented a canoe in the town of Buchanan! We paddled, and fished, my fiance caught a smallmouth bass. After we picked up dinner at a local restaurant there are several good options just a 5 minute drive from Ashlees’s farm and enjoyed it by the fire watching the various farm animals grazing about. We chose to have the farm fresh breakfast delivered to us at our site on the last morning and it was delicious!(highly recommend!) We had a good time and would love to go again.

Wild River Farm - 50amp Campsite
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Wild River Farm Camp Site and can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, Ashlee made us feel right at home — she was fantastic, attentive, and truly made the experience special.
The campsite itself was beautiful and well-kept, but the real highlight was the farm. My kids were completely charmed by the animals — chickens, pigs, adorable baby goats, and more. It's the kind of up-close farm experience that's hard to find and even harder to forget.
To top it all off, the sunsets from the property were absolutely breathtaking. And the location couldn't be more convenient — just 10 minutes from the Natural Bridge, making it the perfect base camp for exploring the area.
If you're looking for a peaceful, unique, and memorable camping experience with a little farm magic thrown in, look no further. We'll definitely be back!

Ashlee's farm was quaint and beautiful. We woke up to beautiful rolling hills with cattle in the far background . We had three little boys who loved exploring her grounds. There is a beautiful trail and animals to see.
At night the stars are so perfect it looks fake. It's quiet and peaceful . Ashlee brought us fresh eggs scones and some wood for a camp fire which was such a special touch our stay. Would come back here in a heart beat.

My wife and I enjoyed our night at Wild River Camper. All was exactly as described. The trailer comes with all you need. Bedding. Cooking gear. Towels and more! It was our first night in a camper too. We will come again!

This was amazing and highly recommend. The area is gorgeous and quick drive to McAfee Knob trailhead parking. The hosts were responsive helpful and very communicative.

Super easy to find, short trip off of I-81 (HARD to find without staying at a freeway hotel, which is NOT ideal with a dog)... but no freeway noises. The camper fit 3 of us adults - cozy quarters, but comfy. Bedding was clean and soft - nothing fancy, but just what we needed. We didn't try the various gadgets the camper had to offer - just threw together a camp fire outside and prepped our dinner that way. But the A/C and bathroom worked great & booking was simple and painless. Will definitely stop over here again.

Wild River Camper
Ashlee's property is peaceful and beautiful while still providing creature comforts that make summer camping in Virginia more delightful (AC!). We loved our stay at Wild River farm especially the beautiful setting and farm animals close by. Our chef inspired breakfast really hit the spot. Would definitely recommend this site to others looking for a quaint getaway in a gorgeous setting.

Great place to stay for a short trip! Me and a couple relatives stayed here for one night and everything went well. Ashlee was very kind to us when we arrived and let us know where to go, and although the RV was surprisingly small inside, it was comfortable. Ammenities like a few small snacks, bodywash, and instant coffee were provided. My only complaint is that the grey carpet placed inside of the RV tends to slip around fairly easily and nearly caused us to trip a couple of times.

For a convenient stop-over this little vintage camper on the farm made for pleasant stay. Inside was clean and the amenities needed were present. It was relaxing and restful for us. We fell asleep listening the the farm animals, then it was quiet. By daylight, the adorable, wandering ducks made a visit to the camper and we enjoyed a brief walk about the farm fields.

The camper was a wonderful weekend getaway for my husband and me. We hiked nearby locations and enjoyed nearby ciders, wine, and beer. We added on the breakfast and smores options and those were delicious! We made a small fire on Saturday night. This is really a great way to get away from it all with the comforts of a flushing toilet and a soft mattress!

We loved our overnight stay at Wild River! Beautiful, peaceful surroundings, delicious wine, great fire pit...and delicious farm to table breakfast! Ashlee was super communicative...gave us great restaurant suggestions, and finding the campsite was super easy! Definitely recommend as a quick getaway destination!

We stayed with our pup in this beautiful location for two nights. Watched the stars by the fire in the evenings, hit the river and nearby towns by day. The camper was perfect and the hosts were really kind and generous! Will return again someday soon!

The entire experience was wonderful. After spending time on the property, one leaves with the idea of the deep commitment to the property and making guests feel comfortable. With all the attention to details of their mini farm, they add depth to the meaning of LAND STEWARDSHIP.
