Open April through October, Smokey's Hideaway & River Camp is conveniently located beside I-64, just minutes from Exit 29, in the beautiful Alleghany Highlands at the southernmost tip of the Shenandoah Valley. Just across from Sharon Park and the Cowpasture River, one of the cleanest rivers in Virginia. This cozy, family-owned camp offers one campervan double campsite with 30amp electric hookup, one rustic car camping site with no tent space, and 4 other campervan sites with rustic tent campsites. Striking a perfect balance between primitive and comfortable, Smokey’s Hideaway provides county-supplied potable water and a unisex non-flush toilet (please note, there are no shower facilities). Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table and fire ring to make your stay easy and enjoyable.

This site is a double site which includes two separate rustic campsites. Perfect for larger groups or a family with kids that want their own campsite. Room to pull in a small campervan/RV no longer than 20 feet in length. A 30amp RV outlet along with a 20amp outlet is 50feet away from RV parking space and 30feet away from first campsite. Guests will have access to communal non-flushing toilet and potable water at the communal area approximately 75ft away.
