Surrounded by beautiful canyons along the West Prong of the Frio River, this quiet campground offers a relaxing setting for campers looking to unplug and enjoy nature. Choose from several spacious tent sites, each offering its own unique setting with shady trees, open grassy areas, scenic views, and easy access to the river. Spend your days relaxing by the water, exploring the surrounding countryside, or simply enjoying the fresh air and star-filled Texas skies. The campground is pet-friendly and designed for a simple, back-to-nature experience. Some sites include a picnic table or access to a toilet, while others offer a more primitive camping setup. Please note that potable water, showers, and campfires are not available at most sites. Whether you're planning a quiet weekend getaway, a riverside retreat, or a base for exploring Leakey and the Frio River area, West Frio Camping offers plenty of space to slow down and enjoy the outdoors.

Campsite 1 is located on far north side of ghe property, setup camp on look out over the river. Cedar trees are scattered through out this site that provide shade coverage and stability for hanging hammocks.
