Stillwell's Store and RV Park stands out as a unique destination just north of Big Bend National Park, offering a blend of history and practicality for travelers seeking a peaceful retreat. Located approximately 8 miles from the Persimmon Gap entrance and 45 miles south of Marathon, this campground is not situated in any town, making it an ideal escape for those looking to unplug and immerse themselves in nature. Our old-fashioned general store is stocked with essentials, including soft drinks, beer, ice, canned goods, and regular gasoline. The RV Park features a variety of sites, including full 30/50-amp hook-ups (electric, water, and sewer), water and electric only sites, dry sites, and tent sites. While Stillwell is not a resort, it offers a rich history and a serene environment, perfect for stargazers, bird watchers, and outdoor enthusiasts exploring the nearby Big Bend National Park and Black Gap Wildlife Management Area. Please note that we stop accepting same-day reservations at 4 p.m. During peak periods, such as holidays and spring break, a 2-day minimum reservation is required.
