The Lake Pasture is now taking reservations for 2026 that will run until the end of September. We’d like to share a small but meaningful change at the campsite. Our numbered sites have been replaced with family names that reflect the families who have helped shape this property over the years. Many of these names are connected through marriage and shared history, and together they tell the story of how our family—and this land—have grown over time. We hope this adds a personal touch to your stay and offers a glimpse into the history that makes this place so special to us.Our season this year will run through the month of September. Welcome to our tranquil campground nestled on the stunning Oregon coastline. Our campground boasts four primitive sites located in an open field between a fresh water lake and the Pacific Ocean. Our campground provides a rustic escape for those seeking solace and adventure. With access to a shared private lake, guests can unwind by the water's edge, kayak, or simply soak in the beauty of the natural surroundings. Please note we do not book group campsites. Conveniently located just two miles north of Cape Kiwanda, our campground offers easy walking access to the pristine shores of Tierra Del Mar Beach. Situated between the charming coastal towns of Tillamook and Lincoln City, our campground serves as the perfect basecamp for exploring the wonders of the Oregon coast. Whether you're craving a peaceful getaway or yearning for outdoor exploration, our sites provide an idyllic setting for creating unforgettable memories amidst the rugged beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

This site has a large area to set up tent(s).It is suitable for self contained vehicles like van or pickup campers and trailers up to mid 20' length. The trailers can be parked on road next to campsite. For amenities, guests will find a communal portable toilet just a brief stroll away, ensuring convenience. Kellow site offers a serene setting on level grassland overlooking the lake and adjacent to a small seasonal creek providing a tranquil retreat with a privacy fence shielding from the road. Positioned at the furthest end of the field it provides the most secluded site. It is a short walk to a shared dock and lake entrance. Also, centrally located from the beach entrance, a mere three-minute walk across the field and road. This site has a smaller area to set up a tent. 10' x 20'. It is suitable for self contained vehicles like van or pickup campers, but no trailers. Be advised that during the early months of spring ground water will not allow parking right next to site. The tent site stays dry but surrounding area can be soft. Please note this site is located furthest away from the access gate and two available parking spots are not adjacent to the site. They are about 100 feet from the campsite. Sites 1 and 2 are recommended for camper vans or pop up trailers. For amenities, guests will find a communal portable toilet just a brief stroll away, ensuring convenience. Additionally, our friendly flock of sheep and llama are within viewing distance. It's worth noting that while enjoying the natural beauty, guests may encounter up to three other groups nearby, adding to the communal atmosphere.

We enjoyed staying at the Lake Pasture for a quick trip to the coast. The mowed grassy meadow and lake access were big bonuses for our dog and we appreciated the easy walk across the street to the beach. It was nice to meet Dave, who is a congenial and outgoing (but not intrusive) host. We definitely give The Lake Pasture a big thumbs up!

Dave warmly greeted us as we arrived - the land is beautiful! The campsite was spacious and felt very private. Don't miss going out on the dock by the lake in the early morning!

We loved coming back here this year. We go here at least once a year now for a few years straight already. I love that they are changing things when they need to. Last year the faucet in the water dispencer was a little leaky, so when we came back to a new one, we were really excited! I love that they care about making the campground better and more comfortable for the campers. And of course the llama and the sheep are always so wonderful!

This is a spectacular location on a beautiful lake and across the street from a gorgeous beach. Dave and family have put so many considerate touches into this place, the firewood, privacy fences, fire rings, dock, and Forest the Lama tops off the whole experience!

Great beach access on a beautiful farm with a friendly lama as company. Close to the highway and buzzing power lines, so the noise can be annoying (especially at night). We were hoping for it to be a little more secluded and private, but the host was wonderful and place was meticulously kept (the wind barriers were especially thoughtful. Overall, our dogs had fun and so did we!

We had an amazing time camping here! It’s in a lovely area with multiple hikes just a short drive away, a walk to the beach, and a dock with a misty sunrise. Very beautiful and nice little get away with the sound of the ocean and critters!

If you’re looking for a peaceful site to stay, this is the place! The site itself was easy to access, clean, and relaxing. If you didn’t want to sit on the lake, the ocean is right across the street, and Pacific City not far. Dave was a lovely host and offered insights to what was nearby.

All the sites are very close to the lake’s dock, but spaced out enough you feel like you have some privacy. I could hear other voices, but not what they were saying. Overall, everything from the ocean waves to occasional traffic (that dies down at night) to the frog chorus all blends into a peaceful white noise. The port-a-potties are clean and there are two available. Dave came by to introduce himself. He waters the plants and brings his dogs by to enjoy the land, too. He even lets guests stay for lunch as long as they’re packed up on time. The on-site, self-serve firewood was a nice perk. I liked that it was pet friendly for my adventure cat, and clearly other guests had also made sure to clean up after themselves. Forest the llama was friendly and the sheep also showed interest in seeing who we were. The lake is about a mile in circumference if you go to through the narrow neck into the kind of secondary portion of the lake, as well. There is some aquatic life (water lillies), so just be aware in case you have some crazy long fin or something. Was navigable on my SUP. Would recommend for small families and solo campers.

Beautiful small campground just over the road to the beach .Very limited facilities ,2 clean Porta pots , fire pit ,no potable water ,but a small lake to kayak or swim in ,and best of all serenity . We will return many times .

Cute little stay a nice walking distance to the beach! The beach is super clean. There’s some sweet farm animals there too we enjoyed observing. Dave was really and introduced himself the morning we were leaving. There is no cell service here which was actually kind of nice to unplug. Camp site had a picnic table and a little fence to make it a little private if there are other campers. Overall we enjoyed our stay here!

Honestly 10/10 one of the best camping trips we have ever had together. And personally the best camping trip I have ever been on… we will absolutely be looking to stay here again. Spent 3 nights at The Lake Pasture and it was so peaceful. The land is taken care of so well. Dave is an amazing host. Welcoming and full of suggestions on what to do in the area… we expected it to rain the entire weekend per the weather report but still went and so glad we did. The rain was mostly at night and early morning.. but the rest of the trip was sunny with partly cloudy.. the lake is pristine will absolutely be bringing something to float on the lake next time.. so much to do in the surrounding areas or just walk across the street and play on miles and miles of sandy beach… I think we walked 6miles in one day on that beach..

Great camping spots that are a couple minute walk to the beach. As great as that is, the lake and the scenery behind it rivals whatever the beach offers. Some goats and either an alpaca are nearby the campsites. Dave is a super nice guy and host. He sells firewood and has set up windbreaks. I had never been to Pacific City and, after staying at the Pasture for a couple days, I’d recommend visiting the area on your Oregon Coast trip and staying at the Lake Pasture. We will again!

This was my first Hipcamp experience, and it did not disappoint! The campsites had plenty of space between them and felt very private, especially compared to state parks. It was so cool being next to llamas and goats! The lake was also much larger than I expected. Unfortunately, it was too windy during my stay to paddle board, but I loved that the beach was only a 3-minute walk from my campsite. The beach also wasn’t very crowded, which made it perfect for a peaceful, meditative walk 🙂 I honestly have nothing negative to say about my experience and will definitely be back before summer ends!

This was such a great spot! Great location, very clean, beautiful, and host was so nice. We can’t wait to come back- our fav things were the location across from the best beach, the beautiful lake/view from our tent and of course the animals. Bring some ear plugs, it’s on the road but that wasn’t loud- it was the frogs singing at night! No cell phone service at all but that didn’t both us. 10/10 would recommend.

The Lake Pasture was dreamy - we were steps away from the beach, and a short drive to great food options and a nice little grocery store. The camp was clean, the people were friendly, the convenient firewood was a nice addition. Highly recommend, hope to return in the future

Dave’s campground is a true gem of the Oregon coast. The sites are spread out, as to keep a good amount of privacy, and the wind fences are well thought out. You couldn’t be closer to the beach unless you were living on the beach. The llama and sheep are comforting, not to mention the frog chorus at night and the bird chorus in the morning. We would certainly stay there again!
