Nestled into the hardwoods of Skyline Retreat's 3.5 acres, Aurora's Grove is a private clearing ringed by a halo of solar-powered lights strung through the trees overhead — your own little corner of Southern Ohio that glows warm after dark and opens to hillside sunset views that'll stop you mid-sentence. A crackling fire ring anchors the center, a picnic table gives you a place to eat, drink, and linger, and when you're ready to clean up, a hot/cold outdoor shower has you covered. Fresh water is available on-site from the spigot — just bring a filter or purification tablets and you're set. Rustic? Yes. Roughing it? Not really. The site is well-suited for a short travel trailer with easy back-in access, or traditional tent camping — and it's a genuine off-grid experience, so come ready to unplug, slow down, and let the woods do their thing. Overhead solar string lights ring the clearing, a fire ring anchors the center, and a picnic table gives you a place to settle in. A hot/cold outdoor shower and portable restroom are on-site. Fresh water is available from the property spigot — guests should bring a filter or purification tablets as water is not treated. There are no electrical hookups or trailer hookups at this site. However, guests who need power can request access to our 3,000Wh portable power station with a 30-amp outlet, backed by 1,400W of solar — available after booking for an additional fee. Perfect for keeping devices charged, running a CPAP, or powering small appliances without sacrificing the off-grid feel. On clear nights, Orion's Belt tracks low and visible through the tree line — it's the reason this site has its name. Aurora's Grove
Gorgeous property with good size fore ring and lights strung above the campsite. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating, even going as far as bringing up water and s'more supplies for our stay. We had a great time star gazing and roasting marshmallows over the fire. This campsite was incredible tranquil, well maintained and overall a fantastic way to get away and reconnect with nature.
