25 acres of woods, running creek and pond for fishing and boating. 4 wooded rustic camp-sites and two sites close to Office and Bathhouse with showers and toilet. Some supplies can be purchased at Office including wood for fires. You are also allowed to gather your own while it is available. Walk in campsites, we will four-wheel your gear to you. plenty of parking space on land. Located in the middle of farm land 30 minutes from Marion, Morganton or Rutherfordton. One hour from Asheville, Hickory and Shelby NC. Pets are allowed but must be maintained at all times as not to disturbed other campers. Some campsites offer multiple tent space for larger groups. (contact host for details) The creek that runs the length of the property is called "Hopper's Creek" It runs from Vein Mountain where gold was found. If you like to pan for gold, you can try your luck along our creek bed. Ask for more details when you check in. Cell service is a little sketchy here but we do offer a wifi hot spot for you to stay connected to outside world and a place to charge your phone. If you a motorcyclist you might have come to enjoy the motorcycle mecca of our area. One of the favorite and well known rides is “The Diamondback on NC 226A, starting in Marion NC. This ride is only 22 miles from our camp. There is also The Blue Ridge Parkway and Lake James Loop that includes “The Devil’s Staircase. Make The Earth Center Camp your base. We do offer long term parking for those who have trailered their bikes here. The Earth Center offers guest the opportunity to reserved the entire ground for their private event. Go to "Earth Center Campground and Retreat" to reserved for your group Camp Policy: 1.For your safety our gates are kept locked. Our business hours are 8am to 10pm. No check-ins before 8am or departures after 10pm. During your stay with us ,entries and exits must be coordinated with the office so we can open the gate for you. Please let us know when booking what time we can expect your arrival, If for some reason you need to come or go during non business hours, check with us to make special arrangements. 2. NO illegal drugs or abusive alcohol use. 3. No unleashed pets 4. No nudity 5.. No unattended children/ minors 6. No loud noise after 10pm

#1: Pitch you tent at Bend of Creek. Wade in the creek or sit on the giant rock in the middle of the creek to cool yourself. Enjoy an open fire pit. Total privacy and 5 minute stroll to Main Office where there are showers and bath or 3 minutes to the pond to fish or boat. #2: Hill Top is nestled in the woods where you can still hear the creek. It is the only campsite you can drive your car close to and that is important to some folks. Open fire pit and shortest distance back to the main office. This site can accommodate 6 or more tents for larger camp gathers. Water faucet is close and there is also an outhouse available on site. Contact Host if you want to rent additional tent sites. # 3: Creek Side: Pitch you tent right on the creek bank. There is a shallow swimming hole (more like a sitting hole) if your brave enough to stand the cool creek water. Open fire pit. Short hike back to the main office and campground for showers or down to the pond to fish or boat. #4 Wood Grove offers view of creek to still hear the running water as you cozy up in your tent. Very flat wooded area that could accommodate a few extra tents for a getaway with friends. Large open fire pit. Short hike back to the main office and campground for showers or down to the pond to fish or boat. #5 & 6 Pine Grove: These two campsites are located near the Main Office and Bathhouse. They don't offer the seclusion of the woods but do offer the convenience of being close to showers and restrooms.

This site offers total privacy is located next to the gentle creek where you can hear it"s peaceful sound. It is at the end of a narrow dirt road where there is no turn around. If you're brave at backing up a distant and have 4wheel, you might be able to get your vehicle to the site. Otherwise it is a long hike back to the main campground for showers. You will be provided a potty potty.

This site is where the fairies live! Nestled the woods offering quiet sounds of nature. You can hear the creek close by and find plenty of trees to hang a hammock. You'll be able to park your vehicle a short hike away and we will 4wheel your gear to the site. This site does offer room for small groups of a couple of extra tent sites. If you planning on adding to your group, please book extra tent sites as dispersed and will add them to your Grove booking.

For those that want to fish or play on the pond, this is the site for you. You can get your vehicle to a close manageable distance for easy access down a path. There is room for additional a couple of extra tents. The tent sites are on an old road bed with a little camp fire pit close by. There is also a path down to the water with an additional fire pit and bench to enjoy the view. Bring your boat or rent one of ours. (2person pontoon, kayak, or canoe) It is a shady spot above the pond and also allows some privacy from other campers. Each tent site will be charged separate. The main camp area is close enough for a walk for shower. Each tent will be supplied with a portable potty.

There are several campsites in this area. Here you will be by the bathhouse and indoor toilets. The view is rolling farmlands with either cattle or horses grazing in the near by pasture. If convenience rather than privacy is your preference, you'll enjoy this area where you can have your vehicle next to your site. There is room for camper vans too, You'll be a short walk to the pond.

Main Campground

I made this reservation for a friend who’d fallen on some hard times. Both Zoe and April were so kind and so generous in how they treated her and interacted with her. My friend said she felt comfortable and safe there, so I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who comes through the area and is looking for a place to camp for a while!!!

Beautiful, sirene property nestled amongst a series of neighboring farms. Facilities onsite, fire pits &she shed to charge up electronics and prepare coffee were much appreciated. April was incredibly welcoming &even stepped up as a pet sitter for the day while we participated in Mammoth March. Would love to return and extend our stay in the future.

We had a walk in site hidden in the trees and our gear was brought in on the 4-wheeler. It was easy to find two flat spots for the tents and still stay close to the fire ring. The nights were pretty chilly, luckily there is plenty of firewood to be found. Electronic communication was non existent at our site. Perfect for me, slight problem for the teens, but there is signal by the bathhouse. The bathhouse had what we needed (toilet/hot shower), but the portable toilet for the campsite was the real MVP! The best feature of this beautiful property was watching fireflies dance above the ferns and falling asleep to the creek’s gentle sound. The quiet and simplicity were exactly what we needed. Thank you for sharing this beautiful spot with us!

Peaceful magical getaway

I really enjoyed my stay at Zoes. It was so peaceful and quiet. The best part was meandering the stream in the woods ... It was like being in a magical secret forest. Panning for gold is fun although I only saw sparkling flecks but I was only there overnight. I'd like to come back when I can spend a week.

Quiet peaceful land. Great fishing hole and loved the creek. Got to ride atv trail and enjoy listening to the tree frogs afterthe evening rain. Host was available if needed and left us alone to enjoy our holiday. Look forward to coming back
