Welcome to Hickory Hollow! Located 7 minutes from the Town of Catskill, 25 minutes from Hudson, and just under the Catskill Mountains, Hickory Hollow is the perfect campsite to take full advantage of the Upper Hudson Valley. There are two campsites you can chose from, both in clearings that make for great star gazing. Camp 1 is deeper into the forest taking about two minutes to walk to from the parking area. Camp site 2 is only a one minute walk but much closer to the farm. If you are coming with a dog, I would recommend staying at Camp site 1, as the farms dogs are very vocal when there are new friends in the area. Each campsite comes with a fire pit, a grate for cooking, and a picnic table. There is parking provided and a composting outhouse. You will need to bring your own firewood, though there is plenty of available kindling. The property is 9 acres and I encourage guests to hike down to the stream and take a walk if they feel comfortable. If not there are so many hiking/swimming options nearby and I am happy to point you in the right direction. This property has a been a life long dream of mine, and is (in my opinion) the most beautiful place on earth. That being said there is a still a lot of work that I am doing since this is a very new endeavor. So please watch yourself if you do decide to stay. The Hollow is beautiful but also very steep, so please be careful while you walk the woods. Pets are welcome, but again, be safe. There is an abundance of wildlife in the Hollow (see if you can spot the porcupine) but that can be very distracting for dogs, so be cautious when letting them off lead. Situated in a Quaking Aspen glade, this camp is only a 1 minute walk from Parking. Secluded, but closer to the farm. Not recommended for people coming with dogs, as the farm animals are easily spooked. A clearing with fire pit, grate, and picnic table. Great Star Gazing.

This camp sits in a glenn of Junipers. It is a bit farther than the other, but is worth it. The site comes with an area for tents, a fire pit, grate and a picnic table. The photos are of last year and will be updated once spring is on its way.

We had a great time at Evan’s. The property and site were lovely and well maintained and we were glad to make the short walk with our things to be set back in the woods a bit. Directions were clear and communication was fast, kind and helpful. The grill over the fire and the clean and well made outhouse made the trip super easy. Nice hiking in the area.

Evan was a great host and the site was wonderful!! Quiet, secluded spot with a nice composting toilet, great distance from downtown Catskill and Kaaterskill falls!!

The place was great and Evan responded quickly to any of my questions. Took my dog and it was nice for him to walk around and smell. I highly recommend!

Great little car camping spot. Semi private wooded area great for a group of friends. Close to a lot of great trails etc. Some interesting rooster cackles in the middle of the night but easy to block out with some plugs. Had a great time.

The site was nice and flat, and had a good picnic table and a grate over the fire that made cooking easy. The latrine area was also surprisingly really nice. Unfortunately, the campsite was very close to a farm with a few dogs who I assume to be livestock guardian dogs. Since the parking area is right by the barn, every time we went to our car to put away food or trash, the dogs would bark pretty loudly for a good 10-15 minutes. There was also a lot of chicken and goat sounds throughout the night- we love animals but I wish we had known about this beforehand.

Camping in this area was great, the area was secluded enough to have your own foresty feeling. Parking was easy and the surrounding area was amazing to explore. I had 0 complaints

Great site! Clean and easy to find. I arrived at night and had no problem finding it and setting up. I especially appreciated the grill, which was already set up. Would recommend for a weekend or even longer!

The site was amazing and easy to get to. Very clean and beautiful views. Bathroom was clean and well maintained. I would definitely return. The host was very helpful.

We loved our weekend getaway at Hickory Hollow. Everything appeared as described and there’s tons of fun stuff to do in the area. Will definitely be going back in the near future.

Stayed one night here with my reactive pup on a road trip - private, quiet, and a really nice spot to spend the night. Appreciated the details like clearly marked paths, composting toilet (with a view!), and grill grate over the fire pit. Occasional noise from the road or the roosters, but nothing that disturbed my sleep.

Had a great stay here and Evan was a wonderful and responsive host. I ended up needing to leave a night early and he was very understanding and refunded me immediately. Site 1 was private and clean. I was camping alone and felt safe. As with any campsite in the Northeast, beware of mosquitoes and poison ivy!

The parking is very close to the site. All instructions provided made it very easy to find the camp site when I arrived at night time. Evan’s property was very clean and well kept which is a plus when walking through the Forest to get to your camp site. Would absolutely return and recommend to anyone looking for a great campsite.

We had such a great time at Hickory Hollow! The land was so beautiful and quiet, with plenty of space to set up and hangout solo or invite friends and family! Compost toilet was much appreciated, and well kept. A great location that feels quiet and private, but with a nearby town for any supplies you might have forgotten. Would definitely recommend!

Great tent camping site with a really whimsical vibe. Very easy, short walk to the site and would be great for folks who car camp, but don’t want to feel like it.

My 4 friends and I had a great time at Evan's campsite. The site was clean and spacious, the hickory was beautiful, and it was close enough to everything we wanted to do in the Catskills.

. The camp site offer plenty of room for a tent, chairs and fire pit. The host - Evan - was very responsive to my questions and inquiries. Location was perfect for hiking and other recreational activities. Highly recommended!

We loved this!!!!!!!! perfect for a small group and perfect for being close to your car but still in the woods and in private. It feels like a little fairy land and you’ll see lots of frogs. It poured so much and we were still extremely happy. Bring good tarps bc it gets muddy when wet. The toilet is well maintained (even had some books inside) as are the trails. The grate over the fire was kinda lopsided but we propped it up with wood and rocks. There are beautiful wildflowers everywhere on the walk to the site. Chickens next door make the most hilarious noises. Evan recommended we go to the swimming hole nearby and it was unbelievable. The most fun day ever. You have to go. Evan is really quick to respond, super helpful. We would def come back here if looking for a spot in this area!! Have fun!!!!

Great tent site, super clean composting toilet. Right next door to a bunch of roosters so be prepared to hear them in the morning! Otherwise all around great spot, would stay again.

Really nice spot. Super minimalistic with just a out house and bench available. There’s a nice fire pit in an open area and plenty space to build tents in the surrounding forrest.

Great basic campsite! picnic table, fire pit, grill, compost toilet and parking all perfect. I would definitely recommend this site if you're traveling in Catskill.

We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and accommodations at the site! Composting toilet was clean, well maintained, and had a beautiful view. The grate over the fire pit was very helpful and the picnic table was useful. Would stay again. Watch out for poison ivy!!

Overall we had an okay time but the campsite was very small, could barely fit the 3 tents we had and was very ticky. There also was a farm right next to the site and their rooster called all night and morning so we all couldnt rest and ended up leaving first thing and not staying our second night.
