I was in after dark and out at sunrise but comms with the host were very helpful and friendly. The facilities were great and the site is in a beautiful location. Definitely recommend if you're round this way.

We had such a wonderful time camping at the alpaca farm! The animals roam freely and are incredibly friendly—especially if you have snacks in hand. It’s the perfect place if you’re in need of some furry, four-legged therapy.
The host was warm and welcoming, giving us a tour and sharing so much knowledge about the animals and the farm. The property itself is absolutely stunning—a true working farm with beautiful views in every direction.
One thing to note: the farm is located in a valley, so it can get quite windy. During our stay, campfires weren’t allowed due to weather conditions, which is totally understandable. There are only two communal firepits available, but they’re first come, first served. If you’re planning to cook, I recommend bringing a propane cooktop just in case.
Overall, it was a peaceful, refreshing experience—I’d absolutely recommend it to any animal lover or nature enthusiast!

I enjoyed the peacefulness, my tour with Jim, the animals, and breakfast. It was a special opportunity to be with alpacas, goats, camels, and a donkey! Stacey and Amanda were very nice and communicative. I expected an assigned site, but really you just park on the grass that is shared by other campers and the alpacas. The property is leased from an owner who has a lot of eyesore junk on the property, which is unfortunate. It’s a lovely setting between Mt. Rose and Washoe Lake. Overall a very enjoyable and laid back time for my first Hipcamp experience!

This ranch is amazing!!! Prompt responses from my host. You can come and go with ease, feel safe in the presence of all the animals and the area is amazing. Close to Carson city and a quick drive to Reno. I highly recommend. The price was also super fair and spacious to fit my toy hauler. Come check it out. It was great

Had a great time with the Alpacas and other farm animals. It's a working ranch so don't think amenities, which is what we liked about it. You are free to roam and the views are amazing. We'll be back.

Glamping was a breeze! The sleeping area was clean and had so much space. I used my sleeping bag for extra warmth at night, but there was a propane heater for use if you need it.
The alpacas were my main draw and I’m so glad I was able to interact with them. They were very friendly and very curious about the dog I had with me. I enjoy the fact that I was able to feed the animals with feed they provided at their shop! Each paid campsite gets a free bucket of feed.
They have two guardian dogs that patrol the area and protect the livestock, and they were very friendly.
Overall a very enjoyable time. I added a breakfast to my trip and I loved it! My dog also had a very enjoyable time smelling all the smells and interacting with the animals.

This place is Extraordinary! Holy moly! My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay here. The alpacas are so fun to be around, they will definitely get you laughing. Donkydonk (donkey) was such a sweetheart. They have super chilll goats but heads up they will try to eat your straw hat. They have a great breakfast basket. Also can’t beat being under a-hour to Lake Tahoe. Truly a hidden gem this place is! I would 100% recommend everyone to visit.

Gorgeous land with sweet animals! We were there on a chilly night and were looking forward to a fire, but the two fire rings were taken already. Nonetheless would stay again! Hosts were very nice!!

The land was beautiful and the Alpacas were absolutely adorable. There were also baby goats that were born the morning we arrived.
The check-in process could have been smoother. We arrived on bikes and wandered around a bit before we were able to find a gentlemen that showed us around and let us know where we were supposed to pitch our tents. The camping area was a nice flat and open field, but didn't have any sort of shade, table or bench. The potable water was from a tap in an area labeled as "private property, keep out", but one gentleman said we could use it. However, the next morning when we went to fill our water bottles before cycling out, a barking dog came barreling towards us upon entering the area and a different gentleman was there who accused us of leaving a gate open the previous night. When asked which gate and when, he couldn't answer and then tried to backpedal. There were several other RVs and campers there coming and going, and we were sure to close the gate when we came and left, so we weren't entirely sure where this hostility was coming from.
Overall we were happy with our experience, but it did have some strange vibes and we didn't feel entirely welcome.

Aside from everyone who worked there being extremely friendly and accommodating, this place was truly awesome. It was such a novel concept that turned out to deliver spectacularly. I had tent troubles and one of the employees lent me their tent.
I highly reccomend this spot, it's an unforgettable stay.

Stacey is very responsive and kind, Jimmy (I forgot his name) the substitute host was also so kind and welcoming, the scenery and area is gorgeous and pastoral, the animals were a delight (there were also the tiniest of tiny baby angora goats!!!!) the porta potty did not stink, there was some extra wood to burn. Would definitely stay here again, thanks so very much!

The alpacas and llamas were fun to feed and walk. The other animals were also a treat. Picked up fresh eggs and honey. We camped in a small RV and were comfortable. My daughter stayed in the tent which was also comfortable. The one complaint is the port a potty. It was way overdue for servicing and was not usable by the end of their stay

The property is peaceful, and the alpacas are a joy to watch. You can tell the hosts care about the animals and the relaxed, open atmosphere.
That said, I’d strongly recommend this Hipcamp for guests with self-contained RVs or campers. I’m a seasoned tent camper with VERY low-frills expectations, yet I found the bathroom setup inexcusable.
The portable toilet was so full to the brim that I was genuinely concerned about making contact with other people’s waste. The handwashing station was an unsanitary mix of sprayed wastewater and sludge.
There were also visible signs of wear and tear throughout the site, like broken picnic tables and a makeshift shower setup that looked one stiff breeze away from collapse.
It’s a lovely place with a unique offering—but unless you’re bringing your own restroom setup, it’s hard to recommend. With some sorely needed upkeep, it could easily become a gem.

We loved tent camping in Stacey's land. The hosts were so welcoming and responsive. It was so peaceful with beautiful views of the night sky and snowy mountains. The animals were so lovable and curious. Every single one with its own cute personality. Loved the 20 year old donkey who loved eating carrots and apples. What an amazing experience!

Omg, the alpacas. Loved the fuzzy hosts so much. This is a beautiful spot, and would repeat.
Word of warning: if you’re coming through in spring, be careful with the grassy field. We got stuck in the mud and were only able to get out after airing down tires. Host was helpful on resolving, and quick to support.

We had a series of unfortunate events, so we did not get to stay overnight. But! We were able to come by in the morning and we were greeting with so much hospitality. The spot is beautiful and the alpacas are sweet and adorable! We truly could feel the magic of the place with just a few hours spent there. We can’t wait to return and actually stay overnight!

We really enjoyed our stay at the farm. This was a unique experience, yet very comfortable and convenient. The views are great, animals are very friendly, and feeding them carrots was SO MUCH FUN. We definitely plan to be back.
