So peaceful and serene in this little mountain oasis! Hidden away within the mountains, there’s so much to see and do. Hike through the mountains and even down to Colorado River. Rent kayaks at the property to drive them down, a 7 min drive off the property. Book an off road tour around the mountains and down to the river. Check out the world famous ghost town a few minutes away and even goon an underground mine tour. It’s pure bliss and joy. A reset, a rest. Available as a single person camping, all the way up to weekend retreats for the entire family. This property is secluded and in a remote area with limited cell service. AT&T and Verizon have limited service, other carriers do not. This property is accessible by off road vehicle only, otherwise you may park your car in parking which is 4-7 minutes away from your tent by our shuttle. Off road vehicle means a 4x4 to drive over a rocky trail. To access your tent, you will be required to schedule the shuttle for check in. A host will drive out to meet you to take you to your tent. Must be scheduled in advance. Check in is between 3pm and 9pm only. The host does not live on property and travels for your scheduled check in time.

April '24 has gotten a lot added already with more on the way. The first of many Hitching Posts (by request from guests) has been added to Site B02 along with a grill. Site B03 now has a more additions coming. Better signage. Approximate distances (again suggested by guests) with pictures will be sent once booked. I hope everyone is ready for a CampTastic 2024 🤠 WOW, what a turn out for the Annular Solar Eclipse. All my guests were extremely wonderful people. We had a blast talking story. The great vibes we all put out actually gave us a perfect window to view the main event unfettered. The clouds parted and gave us the entire 5 plus minutes to view the full RING OF FIRE. I'm hopeful our guests will post some of their gorgeous photos captured. Antelope Run Ranch spans over 40 acres and currently offers four different sites for accommodation. There are three operational campsites that receive regular monthly improvements. The cabin site is currently unavailable for rent, as a composting outhouse and shower room are in the planning stages. The property features an old dry river bed running through the center of the property. A potable water system is pending installation on-site; guests are advised to bring their own water until then. Waste disposal services are not yet available, so guests are requested to make alternative arrangements for their waste. Each of our Camp Sites alone provide you with so much space, not including the vastness of the Ranch itself, but also the multitude of BLM land to explore. Eventually every "Dispersed" Site will have a central location for all guests or groups of friends to congregate...Get together and cook, eat and just relax and enjoy each others company, while allowing those in the party to be able to slink away to the comfort and quiet of their own Travel Trailer or RV. The Antelope Run Ranch is a gateway to adventure, catering to those with an adventurous spirit. Whether you enjoy star gazing, rock hounding, hiking, hunting, or simply exploring the sandy landscape, the ranch offers a range of experiences. The Pumpernickel Valley's vast openness provides a serene environment. Any 4x4 vehicle is welcome and required, as the sand can be soft. Feel free to bring your sand toys and embrace the countless opportunities for exploration in the valley. During the day, you can bask under the clear skies and remember to apply sunblock. At night, bring firewood and warm blankets to appreciate the experience fully. Guests can reach the nearby Humboldt River via UTV, ATV, or other desert-running vehicles to the south and west of the property. While mountains surround the area, the immediate surroundings are perfect for exploration. If you forget something, the city of Battle Mountain can be found to the east on I-80. Pack your adventurous spirit and escape from it all at Antelope Run Ranch. A small cabin labeled A01 (currently on pause for upgrades with others on the drawing board) is situated on the northeast corner of the property, offering accommodation for two people. The cabin includes a small wood burner and a skylight, primarily serving as a base camp for hunting. On the southwest corner, site B01 is equipped with a picnic table, bench, fire pit, and BBQ, providing a comfortable, relaxing spot. This site is located adjacent to 1,292 acres of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land on the west side, and the entire valley is filled with BLM land for exploration. Access to the property involves traveling dirt roads and soft sand, so no matter what type of vehicle, or RV you have, it needs to be four wheel drive. Once past the power plant, you'll leave the black top, which ends around six miles away from the property (detailed pictures for waypoints will be provided a day or two before your arrival date). If you plan on bringing trailers or camping equipment, be prepared for soft sand throughout the area, again 4x4 is a must. Once you've made your reservation and received the coordinates, get ready for an authentic getaway experience. Embrace the isolation and admire the clear night skies of Pumpernickel Valley, a genuine escape nestled between Battle Mountain and Winnemucca, Nevada, north of the I-80. Signage has been installed to provide a much easier path to the Antelope Run Ranch as of 23 July 2023 As of May 22, 2023, a solar-powered cellular security camera has been installed on the northeast corner, providing a view looking southwest, approximately 300 feet behind Cabin A01. Upon booking, you'll be provided access to check it out if requested. The first few trees (tiny for now) have been planted on the property, with more to come. The establishment of potable water for guests and tree watering is in progress. At Antelope Run Ranch, you can set up your tent, RV, camper trailer, overland rig, or stay in a cabin for an additional fee. Get ready, our next addition will be Hitching Posts, we've had a few requests, so we will position at least one at each Site, and multiple throughout the area. So ready the Horses, let the exploration begin. Please note that the ranch is located in a high desert environment, and temperature swings between day and night can be significant. Guests are advised to be mindful of the surrounding nature, including snakes, scorpions, mosquitoes, coyotes, and other wildlife that roam the land. If the need arises and I am unable to assist you in any way, I do have a few buddies in the area that may be of assistance. Please reach out for directions from me once booked, Google and Apple maps have been unreliable as of recent. I have directions and pictures to share once booked. Thank you for checking out the Mountain City Hunters Camping Fishing site. This camping site is located just south of the border of Idaho by 16 miles and in the northern tip of Nevada. It's in an isolated location surrounded by 1000 of acres of BLM and Indian reservation land. The beautiful property sits directly on the Owyhee River with barbwire ole fencing required to keep the cattle out. Please cross over at your own risk when fishing on the 2 acres of open property. There are tons of were there a few weeks ago 9/23 and picked up seven trouts in less than hours. Fun for all. There are tons of hunting spots in Idaho and Nevada in this area from Ducks, antelope, Deer, Elk, you call it! This site borders and just outside of the Duck Valley Reservation. We see hunters go up to Rio Tinto and across the Bridge to Nowhere, all within minutes of the Mtn city. The town of Mtn City is referred to as a Ghost town today. It was once busting with people back in the 1930's to 1977's with copper and silver mining in and and around the surrounding area. If you drive around, you will see ruined homes and mines that have been condemned now but it's certainly fun to take a hike or 4-wheel in the area and check it all out. Privacy, quiet, peace, and wild animals roam the area. Tons of hiking and off-roading trails everywhere can be found here. It's a quiet, peaceful area with a total of 14 very kind and helpful residents that live in town full-time. This camping area has a long 2 acres of running River along it for fishing. The water is low right now, FALL/WINTER 2023, because they are working on the dam which actually makes fishing better. Bring worms or even bacon. These fish are hungry. There is TONS of flat land on this site to serve several RV's and 1 POLE with 110 outlet, if needed. We have wifi for your convenience but once you leave the area, there is NO WIFI anywhere for many miles. A local small bar is located next to the property. It doesn't look like much from the outside but worth checking out. Great cold beer, whiskey, Bourbon just no wine can be found there. They also have a few slot machines and smoking is allowed inside. There is also food during the Late spring, summer, and early Fall after 5PM available for those who want a break. Rex runs this place and cooks the best. I recommend the Rex Burger. If you need a grocery store, gas, or even a few supplies, head north to Owyhee Reservation to the "Our Grocery or Ace Hardware". It is about a 15 min drive away. The closest city is Elko, 1.5 hours away, and or Boise 2.5 hours away. There is also a local health/urgent care in the town of Owyhee (Indian reservation) in case of emergency. Again, this is a very remote, private place many folks don't know about it. There is also several reservoirs with excellent fishing close by if you want to take a boat out there. Check out: Maning Reservoir Sheep Creek Reservoir Dry Creek Reservoir Wild horse Reservoir and many more. And the River is right on site. Please cross over the barbed wire on the property at your own risk. We are not responsible for getting yourself hooked up if that happens. There are spots you can pass through. Just be sure to leave the way it was when you leave, please. Well, we hope you consider this ole fun retreat and one more thing. The older building on the land is an old historic jail. We are working on it and in time we hope to Air B&B to use it. Give us another year for that. Enjoy, have fun, and be safe!

Situated in the heart of Nevada’s Great Basin, Cottonwood is a fifth generation working horse and cattle ranch. For the last two decades the Smith family has opened their doors to guests from around the world.  The wide-open space affords visitors the opportunity to set aside their busy lifestyles and reconnect with themselves and nature.  Throughout the years Cottonwood Ranch has undergone many changes.  Recently we have decided to step back from the dude ranch structure and provide a place for guests to camp and enjoy the surrounding environment on their own.    It is a family operated ranch so young and the old can be found around the ranch engrossed in varies activities.  Horses, dogs, cows, and a wide variety of birds are a given to be seen but you might get lucky and catch a glimpse of antelope, mule deer, elk, or even a moose.Learn more about this land:Pitch your tent at Cottonwood Ranch in O'Neil Basin.  Family owned and operated the 30 mile long dirt driveway is well worth the trip.  The RV and campsites are located adjacent to the barnyard area. It is a very laid back, non- fancy, rustically ranch atmosphere.  We invite you to share in what we call home and make your self at home during your stay.  There are full service RV spots and available camping sites to pitch a tent.  RV sites are $40/night and camping $20/night.  The headquarters of the ranch is surrounded by private meadows used for livestock and wildlife throughout the year.  Cottonwood Creak meanders along side the corral down through the heart of the meadows.  Irrigation ditches run close by the camp sites which makes for a fun splash pad for the kiddos.  Access to the wilderness trail-heads varies upon direction of drive, the longest perhaps a 1 1/2 hr drive to the boundary looking out across the Jarbidge Peaks.  There is also miles upon miles of 2-track roads that traverse the foothills ideal for ATV use.Horses are usually wrangled out of the meadows everyday for various ranch work but you would have a chance to view the horses while in the corral.  Upon inquiry during your stay there might be other activities going on such as helping feed orphaned calves, pet a horse, livestock sorting, etc.Dogs are a big part of the ranch.  Most of the resident dogs are working livestock dogs border collie mix type dogs.  They are all very friendly.

Jay's place is really nice with a beautiful view of the Ruby mountains away to the east. It very secluded and quiet, and a dark skies area, so the stars are amazing! Jay is a really warm and friendly host. The road in to the property is a bit washboarded and rough in places, but we had no issue getting in with our two wheel drive Sprinter van camper. An added bonus is the large population of Western Meadowlarks that serenade you all day, but especially in the mornings. It's lovely to see the morning sun across the desert and listening to the birdsong while enjoying your coffee.

Merlin Springs is a few miles outside the city and is very secluded. The chairs overlook a field with a small creek where geese fly over and sounds of frogs abound. Coming from a big city this site was paradise. We went there at end of Aril and the weather was nice. I expect summers maybe hot. Unfortunately there was a rain storm on our 2nd night. We were traveling in a 24’ class C. We had some challenges getting out of the site. A lighter class B would have been better that day. Shawna being the ultimate host found another place for us to park for our last evening. Gerlach is an interesting place. While there make sure you visit Plant X Pottery nearby and take a tour of Fly Geyser. Thank you Shawna for your suggestions and making sure we didn’t have any issues because of the weather.

Glamping was a breeze! The sleeping area was clean and had so much space. I used my sleeping bag for extra warmth at night, but there was a propane heater for use if you need it. The alpacas were my main draw and I’m so glad I was able to interact with them. They were very friendly and very curious about the dog I had with me. I enjoy the fact that I was able to feed the animals with feed they provided at their shop! Each paid campsite gets a free bucket of feed. They have two guardian dogs that patrol the area and protect the livestock, and they were very friendly. Overall a very enjoyable time. I added a breakfast to my trip and I loved it! My dog also had a very enjoyable time smelling all the smells and interacting with the animals.

Great space for a quick getaway! I live in Reno and had a friend visit from California. Between us for this trip we didn’t have much trunk room but both love camping. Stacey had all of the essentials so all we had to bring was sleeping bags and food! Definitely would recommend for friends. There was a fire ring and we were allowed to have a camp fire with wood they provided! Perfect for winter camping!

The Schellraiser music fest offers a variety of seasonal camping options at our 80-acre private campground in the cool high desert of Eastern Nevada's Steptoe Valley, near the small town of McGill. Our Lotus Belle-brand bell tents are solar powered and fully furnished, with king, queen and twin beds; organic Avocado-brand mattresses; rugs; loveseats; floor lamps; charging ports and wi-fi service. Car-camping and pitch-your-own-tent sites without power are also available. Our campground features several tiny homes; we've converted the biggest one into our clubhouse that is now open to all guests from Thursday through Sunday nights. The clubhouse has a small kitchen area for cooking simple meals. We're also gearing up to reopen our coffee bar on weekends in late spring 2025; our menu features hot and cold espresso drinks, organic teas and organic chocolate bars. A heated six-unit restroom/shower trailer is on site. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, TO ENSURE THAT WE MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS: We are an OFF-GRID campground, in a very remote part of rural Eastern Nevada. To reach our campground, you must drive eight-tenths of a mile off the main highway, on a rocky DIRT ROAD that is susceptible to flooding from April to mid-July in wet years. Drivers with Teslas, Audis and low-clearance vehicles are STRONGLY ADVISED to look elsewhere for lodging. ABOUT THE AREA: Schellraiser is just minutes away from the High Schells and Bristlecone wilderness areas, and within an hour's drive of Nevada's wildest high-mountain and high-desert scenery. Subalpine peaks, rugged canyons, wild rock formations, natural hot springs and ghost towns are all around us, and the surrounding area is teeming with wildlife, including Nevada's biggest elk herd. ABOUT US: We're the founders of the annual Schellraiser micro-fest, which brought bands like Ladytron, Mercury Rev, The Raveonettes, Blonde Redhead, Asleep At The Wheel, We Are Scientists, The Joy Formidable, Blitzen Trapper, Old 97's, Houndmouth, Shannon Shaw and BRONCHO to the nearby McGill Pool Park each spring. The fest will return to a new venue (not in McGill) in 2026.

Havens Ranch is a 154 acres in the Humboldt river valley just 10 minutes outside of Winnemucca, NV. We have a small outdoor wedding venue, and only rent our spaces when we are not hosting an event. You are welcome to utilize the grounds and facilities, which include a beautifully landscaped lawn, historic buildings and modern plumed bathrooms. We also provide access to fresh well water and use of our large fire pits! **Please note that our bathrooms are not insulated and so we winterize the plumbing the in the colder months and will instead be providing a porta-john. There will still be potable running water available at the spigot. ** The river is a short walk away, and our longhorn cattle will most likely be grazing in the adjacent field. We have incredible sunsets and a variety of wildlife living on the property. This is a great space to get away from the city for a weekend, or camp for a night on your way through town. We have both a guest suite and several camping spaces available. It's a large property and we love to share it! If you are looking for outdoor activities, we are just minutes away from the Winnemucca Dunes OHV area (also great for hiking!), Water Canyon rec site, the Bloody Shins mountain biking trail system, and about an hour away from the Paradise Valley rock climbing area. We are 10 minutes from Winnemucca, about half way between Reno and Elko.
