This location wasn’t far off the beaten path and just minutes from a great hike up to Sweathouse Creek Falls. There isn’t a ton of privacy at this site as there are several tiny homes and glamping sites above it but the view looking into the valley is great and the bathroom nearby very handy.

Hosts were very friendly, communicative, and helpful throughout the entire stay. We enjoyed access to clean toilets and a hand washing sink that are an upgrade from a traditional porta-potties. Having access to potable water, trash bins, and the ability to use the fire pit & swinging grill with host-provided wood and kindling was so helpful and convenient. Luckily, we were solo campers because our party arrived at different times, which the host graciously accommodated.
The views are incredible in all directions! Those star-filled Montana skies are nothing short of breathtaking! The small creek running behind the Glamping Tent provided a calming ambiance with a backdrop of pleasant sounds of nature heard in the distance, including owls, birds, coyotes(?), etc. It felt like we could relax and just enjoy our time together. Bed cots were comfortable, and far better than ground camping if you ask us.
We camped in late May and nights are chilly. Would recommend packing in very warm blankets/sleeping bags depending on when others travel.

Stargazer RV Pad
Gorgeous view from the stargazer spot, fantastic hosts with great amenities. Loved seeing the wild turkeys around. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

Quiet spot with beautiful views

Site 3 - Dark Skies Campground
Great spot with great mountain views, close to the highway yet so quiet with only the beautiful bird calls to be heard. We enjoyed the private setting, huge pine trees and the space for our dog to stretch his legs. The bathroom was clean and we really appreciated the recycling bin in addition to the garbage bin. The host met us as we drove up and directed us to our space and answered all our questions.

Great view and local wildlife. This is my second time camping at this HipCamp. The accommodations are nice with electric hookup, a nice fire pit and a large outhouse.

We really enjoyed the Stargazer RV pad! It was off the beaten path for privacy, but easy to get find. We got to watch deer and wild turkeys. The hike to the falls on nearby Sweathouse Creek Rd and trail was spectacular. Don is a very gracious and accommodating host. The RV site itself is a little more out in the open than the pictures might show, so make sure your AC is working on a hot day! Thanks Don for sharing your property

Dark Skies Glamping Tent
Very gracious and accommodating hosts. Stayed in the glamping tent, bed was surprisingly comfortable. Quite area, plenty of land to stroll to see wildlife and mountains.

Everything about this location is beautiful. The hosts are kind and lovely, the land is rich with wildlife and apple trees, mountain views and glorious sunsets. Private yet not isolating, close to fantastic and breathtaking trails, affordable and peaceful.

I had a great time staying at this campsite. When I arrived, Don was present to show me where to go and to provide some general information. I stayed at the far end of the campsites and its as beautifully surrounded by trees which provided wonderful shade. There are so many birds and creatures walking by - I had a fawn wander through one of the nights I stayed. The bathrooms are clean and very convenient. This campsite was overall just a pleasure to stay at, nestled close to the mountains with crickets chirping at night. Totally serene and I am lucky to have found Don's little dark skies oasis.

We planned a weekend getaway starting late Friday evening. Location was great, not too far from Missoula and it put us closer to our hiking trail for an early start Saturday. The Glamping tent was great, so much space and very comfortable cots. So nice not to worry about bringing our own equipment to set up. We could just sit and relax on arrival. The toilets were a really short walk away and let me say AMAZING. Real floors, running water for washing and even a baby changing table in one. Hosts were really friendly and easy to communicate with. The sites were all nicely grassy with ample tables. Really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely stay again.

Stargazer RV Pad
Scenery was beautiful. Site was clean and flat - perfect for a quick stopover on a road trip. Saw deer (including 2 fawns!) and elk right on the property.

We enjoyed the quiet peacefulness of Donalds property. The scenery is lovely, campsites were mostly flat, nice and tidy. The washroom was clean.

Stargazer RV Pad
Beautiful views and a very hospitable and welcoming host. Saw lots of wildlife: deer, elk, hawks and falcons. Great area to walk around and explore.
RV pad nice and level with great electrical hook ups and easy to get into.
